Works Started For The Biggest Science Center In Europe

President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal visited Mevlüt Uysal, the President of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, in his office, in order to initiate the process of the Golden Horn Science Center, which is planned to be the biggest Science Center in Europe, to be established in Istanbul Haliç Shipyard. On the occasion of the 100-day Action Plan, the signing of the preliminary protocol and the commencement of the process were discussed during the visit within the framework of the 4003 Call Program.

While the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will initiate the installation and construction of the Golden Horn Science Center; the design, exhibition facilities and production processes will be realized by TÜBİTAK. The project is expected to be completed in 3 years with 100 million liras of budget and to host 2 million visitors per year in 8 thousand square meters of area.
