The new type of coronavirus (COVID-19), declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization, has influenced our country as well as the whole world. In the face of this emergency, TÜBİTAK has launched a special call within the framework of TÜBİTAK 1507 coded SME RDI Grant Programme to fund R&D projects aiming to find products that can be used in the diagnosis and treatment of the new type of coronavirus and to develop protective products that are effective in preventing diseases.
In the scope of the call, participants are expected to submit R&D project in the following areas for the COVID-19 specific needs.
- Sanitation technology
- Mask
- Personal Protective Clothing
- Diagnostic kits with verification criteria (sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, precision, linearity) within internationally accepted limits
- Devices used in intensive care units
- Equipment for improving environmental conditions
- Medicines
- Vaccines
- Informatics applications that may affect the direct or indirect consequences of the epidemic
In addition to these issues, any project applications that may be associated with the struggle against the new type of coronavirus can be submitted to the call.
Deadline for the application is 02 April 2020 (at 23.59 CEST)
The duration of the project may not exceed 9 months.
