3.1. Application Conditions
3.1.1. Being a high school or undergraduate student abroad (except for those covered by articles 3.1.2.3 or 3.1.2.4)
3.1.2. Meeting one of the following conditions:
3.1.2.1. Being supported within the scope of 2248 - Mentorship Program in the period of application,
3.1.2.2. To be among the top 25,000 in the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) according to the placement score ranking and to meet one of the sub-criteria;
▪ Having successfully completed one of the 2209-A - Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students or 2209-B - Industry Oriented Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students,
▪ To get a degree in the final stage of the 2242 University Students Research Project Competition Program,
▪ Having the right to apply for Stage 2 within the scope of 1512 Entrepreneurship Support Program (BİGG),
▪ Being a scholar within the scope of 2247 - C STAR-Intern Researcher Scholarship Programme (STAR),
▪ To have benefited from the support of the 2224-A Grant Program for Participation in Scientific Meetings Abroad.
3.1.2.3. As a result of the 2202-National Science Olympiad (except secondary school level) Second Stage Examination organized by TÜBİTAK, receiving a gold, silver or bronze medal in the International Science Olympiad to which TÜBİTAK was sent, and enrolling in one of the formal education programs of universities in the country or abroad,
3.1.2.4. As a result of the 2204-A High School Students Research Projects Competition organized by TÜBİTAK, competing on behalf of our country in the International Project Competitions sent by TÜBİTAK and receiving first, second, third, fourth place or special award degrees and enrolling in one of the formal education programs of universities in the country or abroad,
3.1.2.5. Getting first, second or third place as a result of the Final Stage of the 2204-A High School Students Research Projects Competition organized by TÜBİTAK,
3.1.2.6. To receive a gold, silver or bronze medal as a result of the 2202-National Science Olympiad Second Stage Exam organized by TÜBİTAK
3.1.3. If the applicant is studying for an undergraduate degree, he/she must also meet the following conditions:
3.1.3.1. Based on the university's grading system; Having a GPA of at least 2.50/4.00 or at least 65/100 for universities whose grading system is based on a hundred percent system,
3.1.3.2. One of the following foreign language conditions must be met in the language in which the education will be held:
▪ As of the application year, having received at least 60 points from one of the YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL, TIPDİL exams within the last 5 years, or an equivalent score from one of the foreign language exams accepted as equivalent by ÖSYM within the last 2 years,
▪ Being a student in an undergraduate program in Turkey in the language of instruction of the scientific activity they will participate in abroad (the program being studied must provide 100% education in a foreign language).
3.1.4. As of the first day of the application, certifying that you have been accepted to a summer/winter school or internship program in a field that will contribute to your education from an institution/organization* that meets one of the following rankings in any year of the last 5 years,
3.1.4.1. The top 250 universities in the field-based rankings within the scope of THE (Times Higher Education) or QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings,
3.1.4.2. The top 2500 companies with the most R&D expenditures in the world, published by the European Commission Joint Research Center (JRC),
3.1.4.3. Top 250 institutions in the sub-fields of health - higher education - public - private in the Scimago institutions ranking,
3.1.4.4. Successful start-up and unicorn company that received the most investments
▪ List of "Unicorn" companies, published by CBInsights, that have reached a valuation of USD 1 billion or more from the venture level
▪ According to Crunchbase and CBInsights databases, the top 1000 companies that were established in the last 5 years and received the most investments in the last 5 years
* If the accepted organization is not among the organizations that meet these conditions, the suitability of the organization is evaluated by BİDEB Group Executive Board (GYK).
3.1.5. Not to be supported by this program before,
3.1.6. 3.1.2.3. or 3.1.2.4. Continuing their education activities in the country during the application period, except for those within the scope of the articles (those with special student status, passive students, and those in the foreign language preparation stage cannot apply to this program).
