President Erdoğan Announced the First 100 Day Goal for the New Turkey

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan publicly shared the first 100-Day Goal of the Presidential Cabinet including the topics from transportation to energy, economics, industry to foreign trade, urbanization, foreign politics to defense, education, health to agriculture and technology. Within the scope of the 100-day exclusive program of the Presidential Cabinet, an intensive period of work in the field of industry and technology has started. In this process, some projects will rapidly be completed; and also a series of new projects and programs will be launched. The first “100-Day Goal” explained by President Erdoğan during the “Presidential 100-Day Executive Program” meeting held in Beştepe Culture and Congress Center of the Nation, also includes important projects for the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).

Excessive Importance to Defense in 100 Day Action Plan

In the 100-Day Action Plan, it is planned to fulfill the testing process and speed up the deliverance time of critically important defense industry projects such as missiles, precision guided kits, electronic crypto keys which are needed by the Turkish Armed Forces. In that scope, the first testing of the SOM-J Missile developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE will be carried out on the ground with F-35 fighters. Precision Guided Kit-3 (HGK) will shortly be delivered and take its place in the Turkish Air Forces inventory. Through ground tests of Precision Guided Kit-4 (HGK), captive transport on F4 and F6 fighters will be tested. One hundred Winged Guided Kits (KGK) will be delivered to Turkish Air Forces. The vehicle mounted tests of high-powered laser weapon systems will be completed. The first flight test and first shooting test of BOZOK ammunition, which will give the attacking ability to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), will be completed. Warhead Railed System Dynamic Testing Infrastructure (HABRAS) ammunition explosion and drilling efficiency testing facility will be opened for service.

Space Studies will be Given Priority in the New Era.

Pre-design and critical design stages of TÜRKSAT 6A, İMECE and MİYEG projects, which are carried out by TÜBİTAK UZAY (Space Technologies Research Institute), will be completed. Space Technologies Optic Systems Research Center (OPMER) will be opened.

Local and High-Technology Goal Will Hasten Technology Development Projects

Development stage of Information and Information Security Systems, 10 gigabit capacity IP Crypto Device (IPK) and MILSEC-4 will be completed and their testing will be initiated. In the scope of cloud computing and big data project, national secured data storage system will be opened to the common use of universities. Designed as a local and national messaging system; KurumNet will be set up in TAI, Presidency of Defense Industries, TÜBİTAK, BİLGEM and MAM and then, tested. Steps will be taken to establish a local and national flue gas treatment system by the National Thermal Power Plant Sulfur Treatment System Development and Localization (MİLKAS) Project conducted by TÜBİTAK MAM. The establishment of Medical Metrology Laboratory carried out by TÜBİTAK UME will be completed and services for testing, measurement and verification will be started.

High-Technology Platforms will be established and protocols will be signed with funding corporations

For the production of high technology products through national capabilities, “High Technology Support Programs” will be initiated by TÜBİTAK. In the frame of “1004-Center of Excellence Support Program” conducted by TÜBİTAK ARDEB, up to 50 Million Turkish Liras will be offered to each of 10 High Technology Platforms. The first call of “Industry Innovation Networks Mechanism (SAYEM)” support program, which is conducted by TÜBİTAK TEYDEB, will be launched. Besides, protocols will be signed with funding corporations in the frame of “Tech-InvesTR Turkey High Technology-Early Stage Investment Fund” which is conducted along with the coordination of TÜBİTAK TEYDEB.

500 Industrial Doctoral Program Students will be Funded, Return Home Campaign for the Turkish Scientists will be initiated.

In order to meet the qualified human resources requirements of the industry, Industrial Doctoral Program conducted by TÜBİTAK BİDEB will be initiated and 500 students will be funded.

In order to contribute to the macro projects that will be carried out in strategic areas within the framework of the National Technology Movement, Return Home Program for the Turkish Scientists will be announced.

Science Centers will continuously be supported and Establishment Contracts for 100 Try&Do Technology Workshops will be signed in 81 cities

In the frame of “Science Centers Support Program” carried out by TÜBİTAK BİTO, Golden Horn Shipyard Science Center Contract will be signed; planetarium and education workshops will be opened as the first phase of Üsküdar Science Center. Gökmen Space, Aviation and Education Center in Bursa Science Center will be opened. Contracts for the establishment of 100 Try&Do Technology Workshops will be signed along with the cooperation of Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, NGOs and TÜBİTAK.
