We are happy to work with Boğaziçi

Speaking at the signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol for the application of the D3A Digital Transformation Assessment Tool to SMEs through TÜSSİDE, TÜBİTAK President Prof. Hasan MANDAL expressed his happiness in doing business with Boğaziçi University.

Prof. MANDAL said, “Digitalization is a very wide field, however Boğaziçi University has already created its own original model on this subject with its academic competence. The combination of Boğaziçi University, which foregrounds digital transformation of the private sector and SMEs by focusing on the needs of the country, and TÜSSİDE, which has an important role in the implementation of this process, is one of the best examples of the new knowledge production method. Moreover, the inclusion of students -the human resources of the future- in the projects will allow them to face with real problems. This was made possible by the combination of two institutions that know and trust each other. We extend our thanks to everybody spending effort in this process.”

We want to spread the transformation throughout Turkish industry

Boğaziçi University Rector Prof. Mehmed ÖZKAN emphasized, in his speech at the signature ceremony, that digital transformation has become even more important today. Stating that this cooperation is a fruit of the combination of long years of experience of the two institutions, Prof. ÖZKAN added: “Boğaziçi University's work on digital transformation is not the result of a reflex specific to pandemic era. We have already achieved a level of maturity owing to our studies led by our academics both with TÜBİTAK and with other industrial and technological organizations, and now, we would like to spread this maturity to the whole Turkish industry. We believe that the cooperation we establish today will be an important step in this direction.”

Stating that digital transformation will start from small organizations and spread throughout the country as a process that needs to grow from micro to macro level, Prof. ÖZKAN said, “This process involving many fields from technology to sociology is a part of the transformation that will affect the entire industrial ecosystem of the country. I would like to express my best wishes on our cooperation and extend my thanks to everybody spending effort for it”.
