Within the scope of the ICT-AGRI-FOOD (ICT Technologies for Sustainable Food Systems) Era-Net Cofund project, in which TÜBİTAK is a partner, three research-funding calls were opened in 2020, 2021 and 2022 and the 4th call is planned to be launched in March, 2024. This call encourages the submission of transnational research and innovation project proposals aiming at the development of knowledge-based digital solutions for the transformation of agricultural-food systems into sustainable, sound and resilient systems.
Thematic Areas in the scope of Call:
Topic 1: Accelerate digitalisation in the agri-food sector by use of AI-systems (machine learning, deep learning, neural network approaches)
Topic 2: Post-industrial agriculture: the best knowledge and digital technologies for reviving and strengthening best practices for regenerative agriculture
Topic 3: Smart decision-making and reflection systems in farming
Topic 4: Open Topic
Applying research consortia must include at least three eligible partners requesting funding from at least three different member countries, who contribute funds to the research call. Each partner will be supported by their respective national funding organisation according to their legal terms and conditions for project funding. Joint project proposals to be prepared within the scope of this call are required to comply with both the international call application conditions and the national rules and conditions of the partner countries.
When the call is opened, in addition to the international project applications to be submitted to the Call Secretariat, national project applications should be submitted to TUBITAK by researchers from Turkey who will take part in the projects. Scientific evaluation will be carried out by the international Call Secretariat.
