Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) Practices Call for Metabolic/Neurodegenative/Neurodevelepmental Disorders and Chronic Pain Management is Open for Application

In accordance with the goal of "Standardizing Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM)  practices in an evidence-based manner and disseminating their safe use through national and international studies" stated in the Twelfth Development Plan (2024-2028), two T&CM calls have been opened with the thought that the mechanisms of T&CM applications can be clarified with scientific data, that they can contribute to existing health practices, physical and mental health and quality of life, that different approaches will feed on each other and have a synergistic effect.

Within the scope of the call, which will be subject to the "1001– The Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program", it is aimed to support Basic and Mechanistic Research, which includes T&CM practices related to the diseases specified in the call text, in order to produce new information, make scientific interpretations and/or solve technological problems.

Within the scope of the call, which will be subject to "1003-Primary Subjects R&D Funding Program", it is aimed to support Basic and Mechanistic Research, Natural Medicinal Product Research and New Method and Technology Development Studies which are result-oriented, have trackable targets, have high widespread impact potential and include T&CM applications for diseases specified in the call text.

The first stage applications could be completed until April 4, 2024. The call text, which includes the calendar and special issues regarding the calls is below:
