2nd Call in BiGG (TÜBİTAK Individual Young Enterprise) Program is Launched

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank announced that 200.000 TL will be awarded to entrepreneur candidates within the scope of TÜBİTAK Individual Young Enterprise (BİGG) Program. Minister Varank also announced that the second call of the 2018 BiGG Program, which enables young entrepreneurs to establish their companies and commercialize the high value added products, will be launched tomorrow.

 

Applications made to Techno-enterprise Capital Support will be evaluated by a delegation consists of academicians, industrialists and investors. Implementing organizations will carry out activities such as training, mentoring, incubation, use of business association networks, verification of business ideas and approval of business plan proposals of entrepreneurs to TUBITAK. Program can be applied within the scope of thematic areas such as "Smart Transportation", "Energy and Clean Technologies", "Digital Transformation in Industry", "Communication and Numerical Transformation", "Health and Good Life" and "Sustainable Agriculture and Nutrition".

 

The Dreams of Young Entrepreneur Candidates Are Turning into Reality

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank gave the following information on the support program prepared for young entrepreneurs: "Our Ministry is turning the dreams of young and innovative entrepreneur candidates into reality with the BIGG Techno-enterprise Program. Business ideas focused on technology and innovation are turning into enterprises that will create qualified employment. Innovative activities ‘from the idea to the market’ are supported. In this respect, the start-up companies that can develop internationally competitive products and services with high level of technology are contributed to the economy and thus contribute to reducing the external dependency on qualified products. Within the program so far nearly one thousand enterpreneurs have established their companies and turned their ideas into reality. As of tomorrow, the second call of year 2018 is going on. Entrepreneur candidates will be able to apply to TUBITAK and benefit from %100 grant support amounting to two hundred thousand Turkish Lira together with the approved business plans."

3.323 entrepreneurs applied for the program in the first call of year 2018 and 146 entrepreneurs were entitled to Techno-enterprise Capital Support.
