7th European Physıcs Olympıad: A Success That Makes Our Country Proud!

The 7th European Physics Olympiad was held in Hannover, Germany on June 16-20, 2023 with the participation of 181 students from 38 countries.

Our young scientists, who are trained to represent our country in the international arena within the scope of 2202 Science Olympiads conducted under TÜBİTAK BİDEB, proudly fly our flag with their success in all competitions they participate in.  In this context, our national team won 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze medals in the 7th European Physics Olympiad, in which 5 of our students participated. Ahmet Bahadır TRABZON and Emir AKDAĞ won Gold medals, Arda ÜNVER and Kaan DERE won Silver medals and Mehmet Anıl İŞKESEN won Bronze medals.

Minister of Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır called the results achieved by our students "a success that makes us proud" and said: "These degrees achieved by our students, who are dedicated to science and research, in return for their patience and perseverance, are a proud manifestation of our trust and support for our youth under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in line with the vision of the National Technology Move and our "Türkiye Century" goals. For a Türkiye that produces and develops science and technology and builds our competitiveness in the international arena, our youth are our most important companions and colleagues. I sincerely congratulate our young people, who are our source of pride with their achievements, and their families and teachers who have contributed greatly to the formation of this proud picture."

Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of TÜBİTAK, said: "As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic and the 60th anniversary of TÜBİTAK, the achievements of our students in the international arena make us all proud. As TÜBİTAK, it is pleasing to see that our investments in human resources are crowned with the success of Turkish youth in the Olympics."

We congratulate our national team students, the pride of our country, who made us fly our flag at the 7th European Physics Olympiad in Germany.

We are proud of the achievements of our students who represent our country in the international arena and are the future scientists of the future. We would like to thank all our students who participated in the Olympics, their families, teachers and all the academicians who took part in the trainings, especially our Committee Chairs.
