Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, announced that the call for "Public Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem - 2023" has been opened within the scope of the TUBITAK Public Institutions Research and Development Projects Support Program.

Minister Kacır noted that the call aims to develop artificial intelligence solutions needed by public institutions and organizations in line with the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, to utilize and disseminate the knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence for these solutions.

Kacır stated, "In this call, where the Presidency's Digital Transformation Office (CBDDO) participates as a client institution, themes such as Financial Technologies, Smart Manufacturing Systems, Smart Agriculture, Food and Livestock, Climate Change and Sustainability, E-Commerce Technologies, and Smart Education Technologies are included. As can be understood from these themes, we are paving the way for bringing artificial intelligence solutions to the most essential aspects of our lives. While achieving Türkiye's Century goals, we will become not only one of the best technology-utilizing countries but also one of the countries shaping the agenda in this field. We stand by all researchers who strive to research, develop, and benefit our country. In the light of the National Technology Campaign, together, we will bring our country to the rightful place it deserves in science and technology."

TUBITAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, who pointed out that the call was published by the TUBITAK Public Research Support Group (KAMAG) affiliated with TUBITAK ARDEB, said, "In this call, the consortium applying for the project must sign a cooperation protocol with our TUBITAK BILGEM Artificial Intelligence Institute (YZE) before applying. The needs of public institutions and organizations within the scope of the call will be coordinated by YZE. With this call, we, as TUBITAK, aim to bring together institutions that generate, develop, and use knowledge."

The Artificial Intelligence Institute will support the fundamental integration of developed solutions and be responsible for rapidly transferring the accumulated knowledge to the ecosystem. Consortiums applying for the project are expected to sign a cooperation protocol before applying and submit it to TUBITAK during the application process.

Previously, the TUBITAK TEYDEB 1711 Artificial Intelligence Call, focused on the needs of the private sector, had been opened, and within this scope, support was provided to 10 collaboration platforms.
