Success in the Olympiads in Informatics that Brings Pride to Our Country!

Minister Kacır reported that 92 students from 24 countries participated in the 7th European Junior Olympiad in Informatics held in Kutaisi, Georgia, between September 8th and 14th, 2023. The students representing Türkiye achieved remarkable success, winning 1 silver and 3 bronze medals.

Kacır stated that 2 silver and 2 bronze medals were won in the 30th Balkan Olympiad in Informatics held in Maribor, Slovenia between October 29th to November 3rd, 2023 with the participation of 74 students from 17 countries.

7th European Junior Olympiad in Informatics

Stating that Türkiye once again proved its superior capabilities in technology at the 7th European Junior Olympiad in Informatics, Kacır said: "The 1 silver and 3 bronze medals achieved by our young scientists on this international platform are very proud. I sincerely congratulate İbrahim Hanif Çeker for his silver medal and Adnan Akdoğan, Kerem Bozkaya and Mehmet Kaan Avcı for their bronze medals."

Our Flag Waves Proudly

Noting that the young scientists trained to represent Türkiye in the international arena within the scope of 2202 Science Olympiads carried out under TÜBİTAK BİDEB proudly waved our flag with their success in all competitions they participated in, Kacır said, "In this context, our national team won 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals in the 30th Balkan Olympiad in Informatics, which was attended by 4 students. Among our students representing our country; Mert Köksal and Cengiz Eray Aslan won silver medals, Berke İnan Tol and Çağan Ahmet Yanmaz won bronze medals."

A Leading Country in Technology

Stating that the vision of the Turkish Century aims to make Türkiye a pioneering country in technology, Minister Kacır said: "The achievements of our young people in this Olympiad show how great the potential of our country is to achieve these goals. These achievements of our young people are an indication that our future is bright."

Kacır said, "We congratulate our national team students, the pride of our country, who waved our flag at the Olympiads in Informatics held in Georgia and Slovenia. We are proud of the achievements of our students who represent our country in the international arena and who are the candidate scientists of the future. We would like to thank all our students who participated in the Olympiads, their families, teachers and all academicians who took part in the trainings, especially our Committee Chairs. These achievements, which we see as the fruit of the National Technological Movement, are the first Olympiad achievements of Türkiye's 100th year, and we are very pleased. We will witness together that these successes will continue to increase in the coming period."
