Meraklı Minik

Meraklı Minik, a TÜBİTAK publication that first appeared in January 2007, is 32-page popular science magazine for children above 3 that is published on the first day of every month. The average monthly print run is 86,000. Each issue of the magazine centres on a different theme. Articles, activities, suggestions, and games are included to encourage children to explore, discover, and learn. Supplements such as cards, board games, cardboard models, posters, masks, and stickers are given with each issue, relevant to the issue’s themes and articles. The magazine is intended to be read with an adult’s support and guidance and aims to help children gain critical thinking skills while showing them that science is a part of everyday life.

Bilim Çocuk (Science for Children)

Bilim Çocuk is a monthly 64-page popular science magazine published by TÜBİTAK for children of ages 7 and above since 1998. It appears on the 15th of each month with an average print run of 130,000. The language and content of the magazine, which includes articles, activity suggestions, comic strips, and readers’ submissions, are kept simple to facilitate easy understanding. Supplements such as cards, board games, cardboard models, posters, masks, and stickers are given with each issue, relevant to the issue’s themes and articles. The purpose of the magazine is to popularise science among children from a young age while showing them that they can contribute to the world of science and make a difference. It further aims to urge children to ask questions, research, read, be curious, and invent.

TÜBİTAK Bilim Genç (TÜBİTAK Science for Youth)

TÜBİTAK’s digital popular science magazine Bilim Genç is for young people aged 13 years and older. Having been active since 2015, Bilim Genç is updated daily and the contents are available for free. The latest news and developments in science and technology, popular science articles and answers for interesting questions are some of its content. Articles are supported with enriched media such as videos, animations, infographics, and drawings. Projects related to science, technology, engineering, math, design, art and coding are published on the website. Thus, young people have the opportunity to learn not only by reading but also by practicing. Young people can load their photographs and projects to Bilim Genç website. Bilim Genç includes written and video interviews with nationally and/or internationally renowned scientists who have made significant contributions to science. With Online Science Talks young people have the opportunity to communicate with scientists in person. Bilim Genç is available via its website, social media accounts, YouTube channel, podcast channels and mobile applications.

Bilim ve Teknik

Bilim ve Teknik is a 96-page monthly popular science magazine for older teens and adults that has been published on the first of each month by TÜBİTAK since 1967. Its monthly average print run is 75,000. Intriguing and recent developments in science and technology are presented in everyday language. The features and news in Bilim ve Teknik are prepared by experts, scientists, researchers, and in-house popular science writers. The purpose of the magazine is to encourage interest in scientific and technological research areas and to satisfy the public’s curiosity about these areas in a broad sense.
