INFORMATION ABOUT TECHNOLOGY
X-Band Transmitter System Technology is a data download system technology that has gained a history in the national earth observation satellites RASAT and GÖKTÜRK 2, providing the high data rate demanded in the space-ground link in ground observation satellites with high resolution payload. Having over 10 years of space history, the current design solution is qualified in space. The disadvantages of using COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) materials have been eliminated by developing design solutions.
The sub-blocks (modulator, frequency converter, filter blocks, power amplifier blocks, etc.) of the X-Band Transmitter System have the ability to be reused in different application and frequency bands. It is possible to increase the data rate by using more than one X-Band Transmitter System together, without violating the frequency bands allocated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). In addition, it is possible to make a partial change on the technology in question, to adapt the unit to new communication standards and to increase its capacity.
