Since 2007, the Science and Society Support Programs run by the Science and Society Directorate have been supporting projects that aim to carry out scientific activities for different segments of society, from preschool children to undergraduate students and teachers.
Significant changes were made in the 2024 call text to ensure that the science festivals, the most comprehensive events where our society meets science, are widely participated in, and disseminated.
Several important innovations and improvements were made within the scope of the 2024 call period. Some of the innovations implemented in this context:
- 4007 Science Festivals were divided into three categories: A, B, and C
Category A - Large-Scale Science Festivals
Category B - Medium-Scale Science Festivals
Category C - Small-Scale Science Festivals
- Updating the amount and scope of support
- Adjustments made in the assignment quotas
- Updating the cooperation protocol criteria
- Choosing a festival slogan for the 9th call
With the support of TÜBİTAK, we want to bring science to all segments of our society together by organizing science festivals to which local governments, public institutions and the private sector will contribute.
With the belief of "Strong Türkiye together with science and technology", we welcome applications from all institutions that want to bring science together with society and society together with science.
Applications for the program will be received via http://bilimtoplum-pbs.tubitak.gov.tr with an electronic signature until February 29, 2024 (05.30 p.m.).
