Scientists pursuing associate/undergraduate/graduate/postgraduate education/research and postdoctoral research programmes are supported for presenting proceedings in scientific meetings abroad to share their original studies on a subject related to their field with the world of science to improve their work with feedback and scientific discussions and to increase interaction and cooperation with expert scientists in their fields. 2224-A Grant Program for Participation in Scientific Meetings Abroad and 2224-B Grant Program for Participation in Scientific Meetings within the Country run by TÜBİTAK Science Fellowships and Grant Programmes Directorate (BİDEB). Applications for the 2026 year 1’st calls of the programmes are now open.

Participation in the call requires that the consortium includes at least one partner from the mentioned Western Balkan countries (Albania, Austria, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia). In addition to these, partners from other Eureka countries or from non-Eureka countries may also join, provided that they secure public funding or self-financing within the call deadlines.

There are no thematic restrictions or topic limitations within the scope of the call.

Project applications to the Eureka Network Western Balkans (LinkUp) 2025 Call will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the 1509-International Industrial R&D Projects Support Program.

Only companies established as capital companies in Türkiye are eligible to apply for support under the 1509-International Industrial R&D Projects Support Program.

Application Process

Applications will proceed in two stages: international and national.

Stage 1 – International Application: Partners must complete the Eureka project application form online via the call's website.

Stage 2 – National Application: Participants from Türkiye must submit their national applications to the TÜBİTAK 1509-International Industrial R&D Projects Support Program call by 22 October 2025, along with the international application form.

TÜBİTAK’ın yürütücü kuruluş olarak yer aldığı, UNIDO iş birliği ile yürütülen Küresel Temiz Teknolojiler Girişimcilik Programı’nın (Global Cleantech Innovation Programme - GCIP) 2. Fazı kapsamında faaliyetler 2024 yılında da devam etmektedir. Programın diğer paydaşları arasında Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı, Enerji ve Tabii Kaynaklar Bakanlığı, Çevre, Şehircilik ve İklim Değişikliği Bakanlığı, Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı, Aile ve Sosyal Hizmetler Bakanlığı yer almaktadır.  Projenin 2. fazında, hızlandırıcı ve yarışma ile temiz teknoloji çözümlerinin yenilikçi girişimcilere dönüştürülmesine ek olarak teknoloji doğrulama ve yatırıma hazırlık bileşenleri ile temiz teknoloji girişimcilerinin ulusal ve küresel pazara hazırlanmaları hedeflenmektedir.

Program kapsamında GCIP Türkiye 2024 Hızlandırıcı başvuruları 1 Nisan 2024-27 Mayıs 2024 tarihleri arasında alınacaktır. Seçilen adaylar 2024 yılı, Temmuz ayı içerisinde düzenlenecek GCIP Türkiye 2024 Ulusal Akademisi’ne davet edilecek ve Ağustos-Kasım 2024 tarihleri arasında eğitim ve mentorluk hizmetleri alarak temiz teknolojiler alanındaki yenilikçi iş fikirlerini geliştirme fırsatı elde edeceklerdir.

GCIP 2024 Türkiye Hızlandırıcısında Aile ve Sosyal Hizmetler Bakanlığı’ndan Kadın Girişimcilere Özel Destek!

GCIP Türkiye 2024 Hızlandırıcı Programı’nda, temiz teknoloji alanında faaliyet gösteren kadın girişimcilere yönelik özelleşmiş hızlandırıcı faaliyetleri ile temiz teknoloji alanındaki kadın girişimcilerimizin başarılarını artırmak hedeflenmektedir. 

2024 GCIP Türkiye Hızlandırıcısında temiz teknoloji alanında faaliyet gösteren kadın girişimcilerimizin girişimleri kapsamında geliştirdikleri ürünlerin ticari performansının artırılması, yatırıma hazır hale gelmesi ve küresel pazara açılmaları amacıyla Temiz Teknoloji Alanında Kadın Girişimciler için Yatırıma Hazırlık ve Küreselleşme modülü eklenmiştir. GCIP Hızlandırıcısından mezun takımlar arasından seçilecek, kurucularından biri kadın veya en az bir üst düzey yöneticisi kadın olan takımlar bu modüle dahil edilebilecektir. 

Temiz Teknoloji Alanında Kadın Girişimciler için Yatırıma Hazırlık ve Küreselleşme Modülü altında, çok boyutlu bir değerlendirme ile girişimlerin yatırıma hazırlık seviyeleri uzmanlar tarafından değerlendirilecek, gelişime açık konularda takımların ihtiyaçlarına özel uzman mentorler atanacak, ustalık atölye çalışmaları ve yatırımcı buluşmaları gerçekleştirilecektir. Aile ve Sosyal Hizmetler Bakanlığı tarafından kadın girişimcilerimize aşağıdaki kategorilerde destek sağlanacaktır:  

Toplumsal Etkide Öncü Kadın Girişimci Desteği: 250.000 TL

Yenilikçi Kadın Girişimci Desteği: 250.000 TL

En İyi Gelişim Gösteren Kadın Girişimci Desteği: 250.000 TL

Genç Kadın Girişimci Desteği: 250.000 TL

Temiz Teknoloji Alanında Kadın Girişimciler için Yatırıma Hazırlık ve Küreselleşme Modülü kapsamındaki tüm faaliyetler GCIP 2024 Türkiye Hızlandırıcısı ile eş zamanlı olarak yürütülecektir.

GCIP Türkiye 2024 Hızlandırıcısı sonunda dereceye giren takımların temiz teknoloji alanındaki iş fikirleri çeşitli ödüller ile desteklenecektir. 

Birincilik ödülü: 500.000 TL

İkincilik ödülü: 350.000 TL

Üçüncülük ödülü: 250.000 TL

Hızlandırıcı kapsamında finale kalan en başarılı 10 Takım TÜBİTAK TEYDEB desteklerinden çeşitli avantajlar ile yararlanabilecektir. 

GCIP Türkiye 2024 Hızlandırıcı Başvuruları 27 Mayıs 2024 saat 23:59’a kadar https://gcip.tech/country/turkiye/ adresinden alınacaktır. 

Uluslararası Regeneron ISEF Bilim ve Mühendislik Yarışmasına ülkemizi temsilen bu yıl 14 proje ile 24 öğrencimiz katıldı. 3 projenin sahibi 3 öğrencimiz ISEF organizasyonu tarafından verilen büyük ödüllerin ve çeşitli kuruluşlar tarafından verilen özel ödüllerin sahibi oldu. Ülkemizi başarıyla temsil eden projelerimizde ikisi hem özel ödülü hem ISEF büyük ödülünü birlikte kazandı.

10-16 Mayıs 2025 tarihleri arasında ABD’nin Columbus şehrinde bu yıl 75.’si düzenlenen Uluslararası Regeneron ISEF Bilim ve Mühendislik Yarışmasında ülkemizi temsilen 14 proje ile katılan 24 öğrenciden; 3 projenin sahibi 3 öğrencimiz ISEF organizasyonu tarafından verilen büyük ödüllerin ve özel ödüllerin sahibi oldu. İki öğrencimiz hem özel ödülü hem ISEF büyük ödülünü birlikte kazandı.

ISEF Büyük Ödül Sahibi Öğrencilerimiz;

“Cellular and Molecular Biology” alanında Yarışma Dördüncülük ödülünü Ela Doruk KORKMAZ, “Arabica Cinsi Kahve Çekirdeklerinden Elde Edilen Eksozomların Melanoma Türü Cilt Kanseri Hücrelerine Etkileri” isimli projesiyle,

“Chemistry” alanında Yarışma Dördüncülük ödülünü Reyyan ÇİFCİ, “Topikal Ajanla Desteklenmiş Potansiyel Hücredışı Matriks Ve Yara Örtüsü Yeni Hidrojel Sentezi, Karakterizasyonu, Etki Mekanizmasının İncelenmesi” isimli projesiyle kazandı.

Özel Ödül Sahibi Öğrencilerimiz ise;

“Chemistry” alanında “King Abdulaziz & His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity - Full Scholarship from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) (and a $400 cash prize)” özel ödülünü Reyyan ÇİFCİ “Topikal Ajanla Desteklenmiş Potansiyel Hücredışı Matriks Ve Yara Örtüsü Yeni Hidrojel Sentezi, Karakterizasyonu, Etki Mekanizmasının İncelenmesi” isimli projesiyle,

“Mathematics” alanında “American Mathematical Society - One-Year Membership to American Mathematical Society to each winner (7 winning projects, up to 3 team members per project)” özel ödülünü İlhami ASLANSOY, “Ramanujan'ın Ana Teoremi, Kesirli Türevler Ve Genelleştirilmiş Bir İntegralin Hesaplanması” isimli projesiyle kazandı.

TÜBİTAK Özel Ödülleri

Ayrıca Kurumumuz 2023 yılından bu yana ISEF Özel Ödül Kuruluşu olarak yarışmada yer almakta ve bu yıl yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda, “Cellular and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy ve Systems Software” alanlarında seçilen 5 proje TÜBİTAK Özel Ödülü’nün sahibi oldu. Özel ödül alan projelere proje başına 1.000 Amerikan doları ödül verilecek.

“Mathematics” alanında “Make24: Elegant Elementary Bounds for a Numbers Game” isimli projesiyle Singapur’dan Liqian Ying adlı öğrenci,

“Physics and Astronomy” alanında “Emergent Quantum Inductance in a Chiral Orbital Current State: Next-Generation Quantum Materials and Applications” isimli projesiyle Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nden Tristan Rei Cao adlı öğrenci,

“Systems Software” alanında “HM-Detect: Murmur Detection and Classification Methodology Using A Novel C^2-LSTM Architecture for Multi-Modal Signals” isimli projesiyle Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nden Ram Sivaraman adlı öğrenci,

özel ödüle layık görüldü.

Uluslararası Regeneron ISEF Bilim ve Mühendislik Yarışması (International Science and Engineering Fair), Society for Science & the Public adlı dernek tarafından ve birçok başka kurumsal, akademik sponsorlar ile birlikte, ABD’nin çeşitli şehirlerinde lise seviyesinde düzenlenen dünyanın en büyük bilim yarışmasıdır. ABD’nin Columbus şehrinde bu yıl 75.’si düzenlenen yarışmaya 62 ülkeden 1.304 projenin sahibi 1.657 öğrenci katıldı.

a. Başvurunun, etkinliğin düzenleme kurulunda yer alan, yurt içinde ikamet eden ve üniversite/eğitim ve araştırma hastanesi/kamu araştırma enstitüsü/araştırma altyapısında* çalışan en az doktora eğitimini tamamlamış etkinlik yürütücüsü (gerçek kişi) tarafından yapılması,

b. Etkinlik yürütücüsünün görev yaptığı kurumdan başvuruya konu etkinliği gerçekleştireceğine dair resmi yazı alınması (Yazı sistem üzerinden evrak numarasına sahip olmalı ve yazı içeriğinde etkinlik yürütücüsünün ve etkinliğin ismi açıkça belirtilmelidir),

• Üniversitelerde ve bağlı hastane/enstitülerde vb. kuruluşlarda görev yapan kişiler, Üniversite Rektörü veya Rektörün yetki verdiği Rektör Yardımcısından,

• Üniversitelere bağlı olmayan araştırma merkezlerinde/enstitülerinde görev yapan kişiler, Merkez Başkanı/Enstitü Müdürü’nden,

• Üniversitelere bağlı olmayan hastanelerde görev yapan kişiler Hastane Yöneticisi/Başhekim veya yetki verdiği Başhekim Yardımcısı’ndan,

• 6550 Sayılı Kanun kapsamında yeterlik almış araştırma altyapılarında görev yapan kişiler, Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı veya yetki verdiği kişiden resmi yazı almalıdır.

c. Etkinliğin en az 100 katılımcı ile gerçekleştirilecek olması,

d. Etkinliğin hakemli etkinlik olması (Etkinliğin hakemli olduğuna dair ibareye etkinlik internet sitesinde de yer verilmelidir.),

e. Etkinliğin en fazla 4 yıl ara ile düzenleniyor olması,

f. Etkinliğin en az 3’üncüsünün düzenlenecek olması,

g. Düzenlenecek etkinliğe ilişkin bilgilerin yer aldığı, kendine özgü ve güncel bir internet sayfasının olması, (İnternet sayfasında etkinliğin düzenleme kurulu ve bilim kurulu üyeleri ile etkinliğin konusu, amacı, kapsamı, düzenleneceği yer ve tarih açıkça belirtilmelidir. Başka internet sayfalarındaki reklam, afiş, haber vb. duyurular özgün internet sayfası olarak kabul edilmez. Destek istenen etkinliğe ait belirtilen içeriklere sahip internet sitesinin ilgili başvuru döneminin kapanış tarihi itibarıyla tamamlanmış ve aktif olması zorunludur. Bu tarihten sonraki düzenlemeler değerlendirmeye alınmayacaktır.),

h. Etkinlik düzenleme kurulunun TÜBİTAK Araştırmacı Bilgi Sistemi (ARBİS) veri tabanına kayıtlı yetkin bilim insanlarından oluşması, (Yurtdışında yaşayan yabancı kişilerin ARBİS üyeliği aranmamaktadır.),

i. Etkinlik yürütücüsünün düzenlenen etkinliğin başlama tarihi esas alınarak son 1 yıl içinde bir defadan fazla bu destek programından yararlanmamış olması **,

j. Etkinlik düzenleme kurulu üyelerinin en az 3 farklı üniversite/eğitim ve araştırma hastanesi/kamu araştırma enstitüsü/araştırma altyapısı* mensubu bilim insanından oluşması (Üyelerin, daha az sayıda farklı üniversite/araştırma kuruluşundan olması durumunda, etkinlik kurum içi etkinlik olarak kabul edilecek ve bilimsel değerlendirmeye alınmadan ön inceleme aşamasında iade edilecektir.),

k. Etkinliğin başlama tarihi ile ilgili başvuru dönemine ait son başvuru tarihi arasında en az 60, en çok 270 günlük bir süre olması (Etkinlik düzenlendikten sonra yapılan başvurular kabul edilmez.),

l. Etkinlik adı ve içeriği dahil olmak üzere başvuru kapsamında sunulan tüm belgelerde herhangi bir kurum, kuruluş, firma, ticari ürün ya da marka öne çıkarılmamalıdır. Ayrıca; dil, din, ırk, mezhep, milliyet, renk, cinsiyet, siyasi görüş, felsefi inanç, ulusal ya da sosyal köken, doğum, ekonomik durum gibi sebeplerle ayrımcılık yapan, dışlayıcı veya rencide edici hiçbir ifade kullanılmaması.

m. TÜBİTAK tarafından düzenlenen bilimsel etkinlikler için h maddesi dışındaki başvuru koşulları aranmaz.

* 6550 sayılı Araştırma Altyapılarının Desteklenmesine Dair Kanun kapsamında yeterlik almış araştırma altyapıları

** Aynı etkinlik için son 1 yıl içinde birden fazla destek verilmez.

2021 Yılı TÜBİTAK Ödülleri Açıklandı!

TÜBİTAK’ın bilimsel ve teknolojik alanlarda araştırma ve geliştirme faaliyetlerini desteklemek, bilim insanlarının, araştırıcıların yetiştirilmeleri ve geliştirilmeleri için imkân sağlamak amacıyla verdiği “TÜBİTAK Bilim, Özel, Hizmet ve Teşvik Ödülleri” 2021 yılı değerlendirme çalışmaları sonuçlandı.

Ülkemizde yaptığı çalışmalarla bilime uluslararası düzeyde önemli katkılarda bulunmuş hayattaki bilim insanlarına verilmekte olan Bilim Ödülü için 2021 yılı ödül miktarı 75.000 TL, altın plaket ve ödül beratından oluşmaktadır. Bilim Ödülü sahiplerine ayrıca 50.000 TL araştırma desteği de verilmektedir.

Bilim Ödülü eş değeri olarak oluşturulmuş bulunan Özel Ödül, yurt dışında yaptığı çalışmalarıyla bilime uluslararası düzeyde katkıda bulunmuş, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti vatandaşı, hayattaki bilim insanlarına verilmektedir. Özel Ödül için 2021 yılı ödül miktarı 75.000 TL, altın plaket ve ödül beratından oluşmaktadır.

Hizmet Ödülü, ülkemizdeki bilim ve teknolojinin gelişmesine üstün hizmette bulunmuş kişilere verilir. Hizmet Ödülü için hayatta olma şartı yoktur. Hizmet Ödülü için 2021 yılı ödül miktarı 50.000 TL, altın plaket ve ödül beratından oluşmaktadır.

Teşvik Ödülü, yaptığı çalışmalarla bilime gelecekte uluslararası düzeyde önemli katkılarda bulunabilecek niteliklere sahip olduğunu kanıtlamış, ödülün verildiği yılın ilk gününde 40 yaşını geçmemiş hayattaki bilim insanlarına verilmektedir. Ancak, kadın başvuru sahiplerinin her doğumu için 40 yaş sınırına bir yıl ilave edilir. Teşvik Ödülü için 2021 yılı ödül miktarı 30.000 TL, gümüş plaket ve ödül beratından oluşmaktadır.

Kutup Çalışmaları Ödülü, Teşvik Ödülü eş değeri olarak Kutup çalışmaları ile bilime verdiği katkılar nedeniyle üstün nitelikli çalışmalara sahip hayattaki genç araştırmacı ve bilim insanlarına verilir. "Kutup Çalışmaları Ödülü" ödülün verildiği yılın ilk gününde 40 yaşını geçmemiş, Türkiye’de yerleşik hayattaki bilim insanlarına verilir.

Ödül kazanan bilim insanlarımızı tebrik ediyor, aday gösteren kuruluş ve kişilere, değerlendirme sürecinde görev alan bilim insanlarına, üyelerimiz ve çalışanlarımıza katkıları için teşekkürlerimizi sunuyoruz. 2020 Yılı TÜBİTAK Ödülleri Açıklandı!

TÜBİTAK’ın bilimsel ve teknolojik alanlarda araştırma ve geliştirme faaliyetlerini desteklemek, bilim insanlarının, araştırıcıların yetiştirilmeleri ve geliştirilmeleri için imkân sağlamak amacıyla verdiği “TÜBİTAK Bilim, Özel, Hizmet ve Teşvik Ödülleri” ile “Kutup Çalışmaları Ödülü”ne ilişkin 2020 yılı değerlendirme çalışmaları sonuçlandı.

TÜBİTAK Yönetim Kurulu tarafından 2020 yılında 4 Bilim Ödülü, 1 Özel Ödül ve 13 Teşvik Ödülü verilmesine karar verildi.

The aim of 2248 - Mentorship Program is to support the career development of students who are successful in the Science Olympiads supported by TUBITAK Science Fellowships and Grant Programs Directorate, TUBITAK Science High School students and undergraduate scholars, through methods such as increasing their motivation, guidance, sharing experience, feedback and performance evaluation, and provide mentoring support to contribute to reach their goals.

A joint call titled "AI-Powered Robotics for Real World Applications" was opened within the scope of CONCERT Japan, an independent platform aiming to develop scientific and technological cooperation between Europe and Japan. The joint call which has been jointly published by the funding organizations from Japan, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Czechia, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, and Spain. Application deadline: 22 July 2026 (10:00, CET).

Proposals that will be submitted to the call must meet the following criteria:

• Project applications should include international cooperation and be presented in the field of "AI-Powered Robotics for Real World Applications" with interdisciplinary approaches,

• Each project consortium submitting an application should consist of at least three eligible beneficiaries (project partners), one from Japan and two from two different European countries participating in the Joint Call,

• Applications must be made in English, with all necessary information and forms, on the website by 22 July 2026 (10.00, CET) (The project coordinator will make a single international application on behalf of the project consortium),

• In addition to the international application, partners applying from Türkiye must submit a national pre-application to TÜBİTAK via the application system until 23 July 2026 (23.59, UTC+3).

General Provisions

• Notifications are generally made electronically by TÜBİTAK BİDEB. For this reason, it is necessary to provide an electronic address suitable for notification and to keep the contact information up to date.

• Selected candidates will be sent an official award letter signed by TÜBİTAK-BİDEB. The fellow is obliged to initiate the research and fellowship within 12 months of the date of the award letter. The status of the fellows who cannot start their research due to health, natural disaster and similar force majeure and other reasons can be evaluated by GYK and the fellowship initiation period can be deferred up to 6 months at the most. A fellow who does not begin his/her research within 12 months without the decision of the GYK cannot claim any rights on the fellowship.

• The fellow is obliged to report all kinds of fellowship or financial support, which are received from another institution in Türkiye during the fellowship period to BİDEB within 15 days from the starting date of the support. If the fellow has some financial support received from another institution, the amount of the support within the scope of this programme might be separately determined by the GYK.

• The fellows have to maintain their research studies full-time during the fellowship period. The fellow is obliged to inform TÜBİTAK about any short or long-term visits away from the host institution and the duration of such visits within 10 days of the occurrence causing the time away. Duration of time away for less than 15 days per year shall not interrupt the fellowship payment. For any durations longer than 15 days GYK and the Presidency may consider temporary suspension, repeal or cancelation of the fellowship. In such a scenario, any stipend paid for this period will have to be returned to BİDEB by the fellow.

• Those who receive fellowship within the scope of this programme cannot receive project incentive bonus (PTI), fees, royalties, and similar financial support from other projects supported by TÜBİTAK at the same time.
  In the case of those who receive or are eligible to receive fellowship from other programmes of TÜBİTAK, this situation should be reported to TÜBİTAK in writing by the fellow. If otherwise determined, the fellow is obliged to pay back the entire fellowship amount to BİDEB along with the legal interest.

• In case of non-compliance with the obligations, action is taken in accordance with the provisions of this Call Announcement and the Letter of Commitment. 

• A guide containing important principles and rules regarding the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has been prepared in order to protect research integrity, data privacy, and the transparency of processes in TÜBİTAK support processes. It is of great importance that you carefully review the “Guide on the Responsible and Trustworthy Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Support Processes” before starting the application and research processes.

Progress and Final Reports

• In relation to their research, the fellows should upload progress and final reports to the online monitoring system on the dates specified by TÜBİTAK. It is sufficient to upload the reports to the online monitoring system and it is not required to deliver them to BİDEB by post.

• A progress report is not requested from the fellows whose support periods are less than 10 months, and it is sufficient for them to upload their final reports to the online monitoring system on the dates specified by TÜBİTAK. Fellows whose support period is determined as 10 months and more are required to upload progress report(s) every 6 months following the start date of their research and a final report within 2 months of the end date of their research.

• Progress reports can be uploaded to the online monitoring system no more than 10 days after the submission dates specified by TÜBİTAK. In case of any delay of the submission of progress reports, the fellowship payments will not be paid and the fellow will be given an additional period of 2 months. The fellowship payments of the fellows who submit their progress reports within the given time period will continue where they left off. The support given to the fellows who do not submit their progress reports to BİDEB within 2 months without relying on force majeure reasons may be repealed or canceled with the decision of the Group Executive Committee (GYK) and the approval of the Presidency.

• If the final report is not uploaded to the online monitoring system within 2 months following the research end date, the fellow can request additional time with a reasoned and signed petition. If the request is considered appropriate by the GYK, additional time may be given for the completion of the report. The fellowship support of the fellow who does not submit their final reports to BİDEB in the additional time given, can be repealed or canceled by the GYK decision and the approval of the Presidency.

• Progress and final reports are evaluated by academic experts to be assigned by BİDEB. Reports that are not sufficient as a result of the evaluation are requested to be revised within 2 months. The support of the fellow who does not send the necessary revisions within the given time period or whose revised reports are not accepted can be repealed or canceled by the decision of the GYK and with the approval of the Presidency. 

• TÜBİTAK support must be stated in the publications within the scope of the programme and, if available, the publication should be uploaded to the online monitoring system in addition to the progress and final reports. It is mandatory to indicate TÜBİTAK logo in all kinds of announcements and publications (except for cases that the logo cannot be used due to the applicable legislation such as theses and articles). TÜBİTAK logo must be used in accordance with the forms and standards given on the TÜBİTAK website.

Change of Host Institution, Mentor or Research Title

• In case of a request to change the host institution or the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye, the fellow should apply to BİDEB  submitting the following documents:
  Request Form to Change of Host Institution/Academic Advisor(s). The fellow and the current, and the new academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must be signed the relevant parts of the form.
  The acceptance letter from the highest authority of the new host institution in which the research will be conducted.

If GYK decision approves the request, the transfer can proceed. Following the approval, the Letter of Commitment of the fellow will be renewed.

• In case the fellow requests to make changes on the research title without changing the research subject to which it is entitled to support, the fellow must apply to BİDEB along with a letter of justification signed by the fellow and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye. With the GYK approval, the research title can be changed.

Fellowship Extension, Suspension and Early Cessation

• It is essential for the fellows to complete his/her research successfully within the fellowship period assigned by TÜBİTAK. If fellows, who are supported for less than the maximum support period wish to extend their fellowship, they should deliver the following documents to BİDEB 2 months before the end date of the fellowship period:
  Request Form for Fellowship Extension. The form must include the summary of the research carried out by the fellow during the period of support and justification for the fellowship extension. The form must be signed by both, the fellow and academic advisor(s) in Türkiye.
  A detailed research report on the studies that will be carried out within the requested period. This report should be prepared in the “Progress Report” format in the Application Forms available on the official programme website.

If the request for extension is deemed appropriate by GYK, it will be finalized with the approval of the TÜBİTAK Presidency. The extended period cannot exceed fifty percent of the initially awarded support period of the fellowship

• In the event of a situation requiring the suspension of fellowship based on force majeure, the fellow and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must apply to BİDEB with a justification within 20 days from the date of the incident. Fellowship support can be suspended if GYK deems appropriate. The suspension period may be up to 12 months during the support period and no payment will be made to the fellow during this period. Upon request of the fellow and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye regarding the resumption of the discontinued support, if deemed appropriate by the GYK, the fellowship support will recommence and the suspension period will be added to the fellowship period.

• In the event that no request is submitted by the fellow and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye for the resumption of support within the suspension time, the support of the fellow can be repealed or canceled by the decision of the GYK and with the approval of the Presidency.

• If the fellow wants to leave the programme earlier than the end date of the fellowship without completing the research, the fellow and academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must apply to BİDEB with appropriate justification. In the case of abandonment of the fellowship without successful completion of the programme the following conditions will apply:
  The fellowship stipend will no longer be paid from the date of abandonment. If a payment was already made, the fellow must refund it.
  The final report that is prepared for research results and outputs obtained until the date the research was stopped must be uploaded to the online monitoring system within 2 months.
  The fellowship support will be repealed or canceled by the decision of the GYK and the approval of the Presidency.
   

• If the fellow completes the research earlier than the end date of the fellowship, the fellow and academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must apply to BİDEB with a justification. In case of early completion of the research the following applies:
  The monthly fellowship payments will not be paid from the date of completion. If a payment was already made, the fellow must refund.
  The support of the fellow is terminated with GYK decision and with the approval of the Presidency, based on the approval of the final report as a result of the monitoring evaluation by scientific experts.

Ethical Rules

• The fellow and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must comply with universal scientific research and scientific publishing rules during the conduct of the research. Where necessary, it is obligatory to obtain the Ethics Committee Approval document and the legal permission from the relevant institutions for the research to be done.

• In case of a violation of the above-mentioned rules, legal actions shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of TÜBİTAK Directive ın Research and Publication Ethics Committee (AYEK).

Other Provisions

• There is no retroactive payment to the fellows who choose to arrive to Türkiye by their own means before the date on the acceptance letter.

• Travel payments and private health insurance costs to Türkiye are covered by the fellow. After the fellowship support is started, the relevant payment documents must be delivered to BİDEB. Travel and private health insurance costs are paid to the fellow within the upper limits set by TÜBITAK.

In case of any delay of the submission of progress reports, the fellowship payments will not be paid and the fellow will be given an additional period of 2 months. The fellowship payments of the fellows who submit their progress reports within the given time period will continue where they left off. The support given to the fellows who do not submit their progress reports to BİDEB within 2 months without relying on force majeure reasons may be repealed or canceled with the decision of the Group Executive Committee (GYK) and the approval of the Presidency.

• If the final report is not uploaded to the online monitoring system within 2 months following the research end date, the fellow can request additional time with a reasoned and signed petition. If the request is considered appropriate by the GYK, additional time may be given for the completion of the report. The fellowship support of the fellow who does not submit their final reports to BİDEB in the additional time given, can be repealed or canceled by the GYK decision and the approval of the Presidency.

• Progress and final reports are evaluated by academic experts to be assigned by BİDEB. Reports that are not sufficient as a result of the evaluation are requested to be revised within 2 months. The support of the fellow who does not send the necessary revisions within the given time period or whose revised reports are not accepted can be repealed or canceled by the decision of the GYK and with the approval of the Presidency. 

• TÜBİTAK support must be stated in the publications within the scope of the programme and, if available, the publication should be uploaded to the online monitoring system in addition to the progress and final reports. It is mandatory to indicate TÜBİTAK logo in all kinds of announcements and publications (except for cases that the logo cannot be used due to the applicable legislation such as theses and articles). TÜBİTAK logo must be used in accordance with the forms and standards given on the TÜBİTAK website.

Change of Host Institution, Mentor or Research Title

• In case of a request to change the host institution or the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye, the fellow should apply to BİDEB  submitting the following documents:
  Request Form to Change of Host Institution/Academic Advisor(s). The fellow and the current, and the new academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must be signed the relevant parts of the form.
  The acceptance letter from the highest authority of the new host institution in which the research will be conducted.

If GYK decision approves the request, the transfer can proceed. Following the approval, the Letter of Commitment of the fellow will be renewed.

• In case the fellow requests to make changes on the research title without changing the research subject to which it is entitled to support, the fellow must apply to BİDEB along with a letter of justification signed by the fellow and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye. With the GYK approval, the research title can be changed.

Fellowship Extension, Suspension and Early Cessation

• It is essential for the fellows to complete his/her research successfully within the fellowship period assigned by TÜBİTAK. If fellows, who are supported for less than the maximum support period wish to extend their fellowship, they should deliver the following documents to BİDEB 2 months before the end date of the fellowship period:
  Request Form for Fellowship Extension. The form must include the summary of the research carried out by the fellow during the period of support and justification for the fellowship extension. The form must be signed by both, the fellow and academic advisor(s) in Türkiye.
  A detailed research report on the studies that will be carried out within the requested period. This report should be prepared in the “Progress Report” format in the Application Forms available on the official programme website.

If the request for extension is deemed appropriate by GYK, it will be finalized with the approval of the TÜBİTAK Presidency. The extended period cannot exceed fifty percent of the initially awarded support period of the fellowship

• In the event of a situation requiring the suspension of fellowship based on force majeure, the fellow and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must apply to BİDEB with a justification within 20 days from the date of the incident. Fellowship support can be suspended if GYK deems appropriate. The suspension period may be up to 12 months during the support period and no payment will be made to the fellow during this period. Upon request of the fellow and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye regarding the resumption of the discontinued support, if deemed appropriate by the GYK, the fellowship support will recommence and the suspension period will be added to the fellowship period.

• In the event that no request is submitted by the fellow and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye for the resumption of support within the suspension time, the support of the fellow can be repealed or canceled by the decision of the GYK and with the approval of the Presidency.

• If the fellow wants to leave the programme earlier than the end date of the fellowship without completing the research, the fellow and academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must apply to BİDEB with appropriate justification. In the case of abandonment of the fellowship without successful completion of the programme the following conditions will apply:
  The fellowship stipend will no longer be paid from the date of abandonment. If a payment was already made, the fellow must refund it.
  The final report that is prepared for research results and outputs obtained until the date the research was stopped must be uploaded to the online monitoring system within 2 months.
  The fellowship support will be repealed or canceled by the decision of the GYK and the approval of the Presidency.
   

• If the fellow completes the research earlier than the end date of the fellowship, the fellow and academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must apply to BİDEB with a justification. In case of early completion of the research the following applies:
  The monthly fellowship payments will not be paid from the date of completion. If a payment was already made, the fellow must refund.
  The support of the fellow is terminated with GYK decision and with the approval of the Presidency, based on the approval of the final report as a result of the monitoring evaluation by scientific experts.

Ethical Rules

• The fellow and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must comply with universal scientific research and scientific publishing rules during the conduct of the research. Where necessary, it is obligatory to obtain the Ethics Committee Approval document and the legal permission from the relevant institutions for the research to be done.

• In case of a violation of the above-mentioned rules, legal actions shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of TÜBİTAK Directive ın Research and Publication Ethics Committee (AYEK).

Other Provisions

• There is no retroactive payment to the fellows who choose to arrive to Türkiye by their own means before the date on the acceptance letter.

• Travel payments and private health insurance costs to Türkiye are covered by the fellow. After the fellowship support is started, the relevant payment documents must be delivered to BİDEB. Travel and private health insurance costs are paid to the fellow within the upper limits set by TÜBITAK.

Scholarship payments of the coordinator, who has not submitted progress reports until the specified date, are suspended. A financial report covering reasons and breakdown of expenses of such period should be included in the appendices of progress reports and final report. If the host institution is a private sector company or a foundation university, certified councillorship report is also sought.   

• Progress reports and final report are evaluated by expert counsellors assigned by TÜBİTAK.

• TÜBİTAK, if deems necessary, may invite the coordinator to inquire about the progress or assign person and/or persons it will determine to inspect and audit the research in scientific, technical, administrative and financial terms.

• Final reports are approved or rejected by Group Executive Committee decision as a result of the evaluation carried out by expert counsellors assigned by TÜBİTAK. The project whose final report is approved is deemed to be completed. 1001 - The Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Programme carried out by the Directorate for Research Funding Programmes (ARDEB) Applications for the 2nd Term of 2024, can now be submitted via https://ardeb-pbs.tubitak.gov.tr as of 9 August 2024.

The upper limits of scholarships that can be paid from the project budget to undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers taking part on projects supported within the scope of the 1001 Program have been updated as of 1 July 2024. The current scholarship amounts have been published on the web page.

The deadline for online applications of the project proposals to be submitted in the 2nd term of 2024 is 23 September 2024, and the deadline for completing the e-signature process of these projects is 26 September 2024. It is important to ensure that project proposal approvals and the e-signature process are completed within the specified time frames
