Within the scope of the bilateral cooperation call between TÜBİTAK and the Hungarian National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDIO), joint academic-industry projects conducted by scientists from both countries will be supported.

Joint academic-industry cooperation projects from below thematic areas will be supported within the framework of this call:

• Supporting preventive, curative, and care systems to maintain healthy living within the focus area for the following topic areas:
  • Innovation in healthy living and disease prevention
  • Improving the quality of life in old age
  • Innovative diagnostic and curative interventions (drug discovery, immunology, development of medical devices and instruments)
• Supporting the green transition and the development of a circular economy within the focus area for the following topic areas:
  • Agricultural innovation, water management, and effective protection against natural disasters
  • Increasing energy efficiency, accelerating the transition to clean energy
  • Sustainable and smart mobility
• Supporting the digital transition of the economy and society within the focus area for the following topic areas:
  • Artificial intelligence, quantum technology
  • Smart grids, autonomous systems

The Turkish project team that would like to propose a joint academic-industry cooperation project must collaborate as a "project partner" with the Hungarian project team that will jointly carry out the project. Unilateral project applications are not accepted.

Under the auspices of the Presidency and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the 10th National Antarctic Science Expedition (TAE X), conducted by the TÜBİTAK Polar Research Institute (KARE), has been successfully completed. In a statement on social media, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır noted that 15 research projects were carried out during the expedition.

Minister Kacır used the following statements in his post:

“Our 10th National Antarctic Science Expedition has been successfully completed. Our scientists carried out 15 research projects over a period of more than a month in the harsh conditions of Antarctica. Under the patronage of our President and coordinated by our TÜBİTAK Polar Research Institute, we will continue our polar research expeditions to increase our country's scientific capacity and offer solutions to the global problems facing humanity. Our goal is to establish a permanent Turkish Scientific Research Station in Antarctica and to obtain ‘Advisory Country’ status within the Antarctic Treaty System.

As part of the expedition, a team of 17 people, including 16 Turkish and 1 Bulgarian researchers, carried out fieldwork for the TÜBİTAK Kutup 1001 projects. During the expedition, annual data was collected from the low-frequency (VLF) measurement station established jointly with the USA, and maintenance/upkeep work was carried out at the Turkish Scientific Research Camp located on Horseshoe Island. Additionally, long-term monitoring studies were conducted, maintenance was performed on our GNSS stations, and work continued on the nautical charting of Horseshoe Island and its surroundings. 

This year, our scientists were accompanied by three secondary school students from Aydın and Ankara, who won the TEKNOFEST Polar Research Project Competition.

Applications are evaluated in two stages

Preliminary examination

• During the preliminary review stage, the application information and documents are examined. Applications that do not meet any of the eligibility requirements, contain missing documents, are not in the required format, are not approved in the system by the application deadline, or are submitted via fax or e-mail are eliminated at this stage without proceeding to scientific evaluation.

• Applications in which the research proposal is not prepared in the format prescribed by TÜBİTAK, does not comply with the minimum character limits stated in the template, or is not written in Turkish are also eliminated during the preliminary review.
   

Scientific Evaluation

Applications that pass the preliminary review are evaluated by advisory board members or panelists/external reviewers who are experts in their fields, based on the following criteria:

• Scientific merit of the research proposal (35%)

• Methodology (25%)

• Project management (20%)

• Industry-oriented outputs and potential impact (20%)

Evaluation is based solely on documents uploaded to the system.
Support thresholds may vary for strategic priority areas.
Balanced distribution across universities and disciplines may be considered.
Projects focused on environmentally friendly, sustainable, climate-neutral technologies may be funded under the TÜBİTAK–UNIDO collaboration if the project leader is a woman or an international student.

• Bölgelerde yapılacak yarışmalarda başarılı bulunan projelere; Bölge Birinciliği, İkinciliği ve Üçüncülüğü ödülleri verilir. Bölge Birincileri yarışmanın final aşamasına davet edilir. Final aşaması sonucunda başarılı bulunan projelere; Birincilik, İkincilik, Üçüncülük ve Teşvik ödülü verilebilir. Bölge ve final aşamaları sonucunda ödül alan öğrencilere para ödülü ve başarı belgesi, danışmanına para ödülü verilir. Bölge ve Final Yarışmalarında verilecek ödül ücretleri, yarışmanın web sayfasında yayınlanır.

• Final aşaması sonucunda derece alan danışmanlar, TÜBİTAK 2247-C Stajyer Araştırmacı Burs Programı’nın (STAR Öğretmen) Çağrı Duyurusunda belirtilen başvuru koşullarını sağlamaları ve ilgili programa başvuruda bulunmaları halinde bu programdan faydalanabilir.

• Final aşaması sonucunda Birincilik, İkincilik, Üçüncülük derecesi alan projeler için BİDEB’e talepte bulunmaları halinde fikri haklar tescil (patent) desteği verilir.

The Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) is a Co-funded Partnership project supported under the Horizon Europe Programme’s Cluster 5: Climate, Energy, and Mobility. Through CETPartnership, the aim is to implement research, development, and innovation (RDI) projects that contribute to the clean energy transition across Europe. Within the scope of the initiative, projects selected through an international evaluation process will be funded by national funding agencies of the participating countries. This collaborative approach enables the alignment of national and European efforts in advancing the energy transition and accelerating the development of sustainable energy technologies.

For project proposals to be prepared within the scope of the call modules, it is mandatory to comply with both the international eligibility criteria and the national rules and conditions of the partner countries. Within the scope of the call, the international consortium submitting the project must consist of partners from at least three different countries (at least two of which must be EU member states or Horizon Europe Associated Countries) that declare their participation in the CETPartnership call modules to be applied for. Each partner will be supported by the funding agency of their respective country

We continue to accelerate the efforts that will strengthen Türkiye's position as an independent and leading country in the field of science, technology, and innovation, and increase the competitiveness of our country around the world, with the great contributions of valuable scientists in our country. The initiated programme 2232 continues to encourage successful researchers, particularly Turkish scientists, who have experience working abroad, to come to Türkiye with high-level scientific and/or technological studies in their fields to contribute to the projects to be carried out in areas of strategic value for our country. The evaluation process for 2024 calls for 2232-A International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers Programme and 2232-B International Early-Stage Researchers Programme has been completed.

40 researchers are coming to Türkiye

In the current call of the 2232 Programmes, 40 researchers have been granted for support to initiate their projects in our country. These researchers stand out as researchers working in top 150 universities included in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) or THE (Times Higher Education) World University Rankings or in the Top 2500 Companies with the Highest R&D Spending in the World published by the European Commission Joint Research Center or in the 250 Scimago Institutions ranking.

The supported researchers will be provided with a living expenses scholarship, family allowance, health insurance and travel allowance. In order for researchers to conduct leading scientific research in our country, an initial research grant  of 2,350,000 to 4,700,000 TL, research project grant up to 1,650,000 TL, scholarships and project incentive bonuses for those who will take part in the project team, and institutional share allowance for host institutions will be provided.

In addition to these supports, the programme will also provide mentoring support to new researchers from leading researchers who have previously come to our country and started their projects.

During the processing of confidential information, it is important for information security to use the appropriate device in appropriate areas. While the devices are running, confidential information can be captured by unwanted people by electromagnetic means without the user being aware of it. “Mini TEMPEST PC-II Device Technology”, which consists of a case and monitor with TEMPEST standard, is used to eliminate this threat.

1. Mentorluk süreci başladıktan sonra altı ayda bir olmak üzere izleme raporları mentor tarafından TÜBİTAK’a iletilir.
2. Mentorluk desteği, Madde 2.2’de belirtilen sürenin sonunda mentor tarafından izleme raporunun TÜBİTAK’a iletilmesiyle son bulur.
3. Başvuru/Destek geri çekme işlemi her aşamada yapılabilir. Geri çekme işlemi için öğrenci tarafından imzalı bir dilekçenin BİDEB’e ulaştırılması gerekir. Bu durumda GYK kararı ile destek sonlandırılır.
4. Desteklenen öğrencinin gerekçeli dilekçe ile mentor değişikliği talep etmesi halinde BİDEB tarafından bir ay içinde mentor değişikliği yapılabilir.
5. Mentorun herhangi bir nedenle mentorluğunun son bulması durumunda bir ay içinde BİDEB tarafından yeni mentor atanır.
6. Madde 2.2.1 ve 2.2.3’te belirtilen sürenin altı aylık rapor dönemine denk gelmesi durumunda mentorluk desteğinin sonlandırılması için rapor döneminin tamamlanması beklenir.

Support Duration

a) In Phase 1, the duration of the activities to be carried out by the implementing organization with the support provided under the TÜBİTAK Support Program for Capacity Building in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is specified in the call for determining the implementing organization.

b) In Phase 2, the support duration for project activities related to business plans, including any extensions, is a maximum of eighteen (18) months.

c) For projects to be supported under Phase 3, Completed upon fund transfer and registration of shares. The support period for research and innovation activities is 36 months following the month investment is completed.

Total Budget Covered Under the Seal of Excellence Support

For Phase 1, the provisions of the TÜBİTAK Support Program for Capacity Building in Innovation and Entrepreneurship are applicable, and the amount and content of the support to be provided to the implementing organizations are specified in the call for determining the implementing organization.

For Phases 2 and 3, investment upper limits are determined by the Board of Directors and announced in the call.

The results of the 2025  3^rd  Term Call of the 1707 SME Support Programme for Order-Based R&D Projects, implemented by the Technology and Innovation Support Programmes Directorate (TEYDEB), have been announced. The programme aims to transform solutions designed to meet the needs of customer organizations into R&D activities carried out by SMEs and to generate commercializable outputs.

The aim of this program is to support the career development of scholars and Olympic students supported by TÜBİTAK's Scientist Support Programs Directorate and provide mentoring support to contribute to reach their goals.

TÜBİTAK’ın yürütücü kuruluş olarak yer aldığı, UNIDO iş birliği ile yürütülen Küresel Temiz Teknolojiler Girişimcilik Programı’nın (Global Cleantech Innovation Programme - GCIP) 2. Fazı kapsamında faaliyetler 2024 yılında da devam etmektedir. Programın diğer paydaşları arasında Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı, Enerji ve Tabii Kaynaklar Bakanlığı, Çevre, Şehircilik ve İklim Değişikliği Bakanlığı, Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı, Aile ve Sosyal Hizmetler Bakanlığı yer almaktadır.  Projenin 2. fazında, hızlandırıcı ve yarışma ile temiz teknoloji çözümlerinin yenilikçi girişimcilere dönüştürülmesine ek olarak teknoloji doğrulama ve yatırıma hazırlık bileşenleri ile temiz teknoloji girişimcilerinin ulusal ve küresel pazara hazırlanmaları hedeflenmektedir.

Program kapsamında GCIP Türkiye 2024 Hızlandırıcı başvuruları 1 Nisan 2024-27 Mayıs 2024 tarihleri arasında alınacaktır. GCIP Türkiye 2024 Hızlandırıcı Programı’nda, temiz teknoloji alanında faaliyet gösteren kadın girişimcilere yönelik özelleşmiş hızlandırıcı faaliyetleri ile temiz teknoloji alanındaki kadın girişimcilerimizin başarılarını artırmak hedeflenmektedir. 

2024 GCIP Türkiye Hızlandırıcısında temiz teknoloji alanında faaliyet gösteren kadın girişimcilerimizin girişimleri kapsamında geliştirdikleri ürünlerin ticari performansının artırılması, yatırıma hazır hale gelmesi ve küresel pazara açılmaları amacıyla Temiz Teknoloji Alanında Kadın Girişimciler için Yatırıma Hazırlık ve Küreselleşme modülü eklenmiştir. GCIP Hızlandırıcısından mezun takımlar arasından seçilecek, kurucularından biri kadın veya en az bir üst düzey yöneticisi kadın olan takımlar bu modüle dahil edilebilecektir. 

Temiz Teknoloji Alanında Kadın Girişimciler için Yatırıma Hazırlık ve Küreselleşme Modülü altında, çok boyutlu bir değerlendirme ile girişimlerin yatırıma hazırlık seviyeleri uzmanlar tarafından değerlendirilecek, gelişime açık konularda takımların ihtiyaçlarına özel uzman mentorler atanacak, ustalık atölye çalışmaları ve yatırımcı buluşmaları gerçekleştirilecektir. Aile ve Sosyal Hizmetler Bakanlığı tarafından kadın girişimcilerimize aşağıdaki kategorilerde destek sağlanacaktır:  

Toplumsal Etkide Öncü Kadın Girişimci Desteği: 250.000 TL

Yenilikçi Kadın Girişimci Desteği: 250.000 TL

En İyi Gelişim Gösteren Kadın Girişimci Desteği: 250.000 TL

Genç Kadın Girişimci Desteği: 250.000 TL

Temiz Teknoloji Alanında Kadın Girişimciler için Yatırıma Hazırlık ve Küreselleşme Modülü kapsamındaki tüm faaliyetler GCIP 2024 Türkiye Hızlandırıcısı ile eş zamanlı olarak yürütülecektir.

GCIP Türkiye 2024 Hızlandırıcısı sonunda dereceye giren takımların temiz teknoloji alanındaki iş fikirleri çeşitli ödüller ile desteklenecektir. 

Birincilik ödülü: 500.000 TL

İkincilik ödülü: 350.000 TL

Üçüncülük ödülü: 250.000 TL

Hızlandırıcı kapsamında finale kalan en başarılı 10 Takım TÜBİTAK TEYDEB desteklerinden çeşitli avantajlar ile yararlanabilecektir.
