Introduction
WAITRO (The World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations) is an independent, non-governmental and not-for-profit association founded in 1970 under the auspices of the United Nations (UN). WAITRO brings together science, technology and innovation stakeholders, including research and technology organizations and research universities, on an international scale and provides a mechanism for its members and partners to connect, partner, share, inspire, and multiply their contributions to solve global challenges and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. TÜBİTAK has been a member of WAITRO since 1970.
The objectives of WAITRO can be listed as:

In the 1812 Investment-Based Entrepreneurship Support Program (BiGG Investment), Phase 1—where entrepreneurs present their business ideas, the initial evaluations are conducted, and the acceleration program is implemented—is carried out by Implementing Organizations. In this context, a new call has been announced under the 1601 – Capacity Building Support Program in the Fields of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to determine the Implementing Organizations that will run Phase 1 activities for the 2026-2028 period.
Implementing Organizations that will take part in the Acceleration Program determined by this call are expected to open an acceleration program for entrepreneurs for all calls to be opened within the scope of the BiGG Investment Program, to receive and evaluate business idea applications from entrepreneurs, and to provide an acceleration program for business ideas that have the potential to turn into a successful enterprise.
The framework of the acceleration programs to be conducted by the Implementing Organizations is defined in the BiGG Investment Acceleration Program Phase (Phase 1) Implementing Organization Guideline. As a result of this call, Implementing Organizations are expected to carry out acceleration programs with original, effective, and applicable mechanisms that will transform entrepreneurs’ business ideas into qualified business plans in line with the framework outlined in the Guideline.
Applications will be accepted via PRODİS until 17 October 2025. Institutions must complete their project-based pre-registration procedures through PRODİS and deliver their pre-registration documents to TÜBİTAK by 10 October 2025.

Initiation of the Fellowship
The fellow is obliged to initiate the research and fellowship within 12 months of the date of the award letter. The status of the fellows who cannot start their research due to health, natural disaster and similar force majeure and other reasons can be evaluated by GYK provided the appropriate opinion of the TÜBA Presidency, the fellowship initiation period can be deferred up to 6 months at the most. A fellow who does not begin his/her research within 12 months without the decision of the GYK cannot claim any rights on the fellowship.
Required Documents to Initiate the Fellowship
Selected candidates will be sent an official award letter jointly signed by TÜBİTAK and TWAS-UNESCO.
Invitation letter taken from the highest authority of the institution in which the research will be carried out in Türkiye.
Letter of commitment signed by the researcher and the academic advisor(s) at the university in which the research will be carried out.
If the research requires, the approval certificate obtained from the Ethics Committee of the university in which the research will be conducted or from any relevant Ethics Committee, should be submitted to BİDEB.

The HLD meeting held closed to the press at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Working Office was attended by Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, European Union (EU) Commission Member Responsible for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Iliana Ivanova and TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal also participated.
During the dialogue, participants spoke in comprehensive sessions on policy frameworks, financing mechanisms and collaboration initiatives that promote sustainable innovation. The focus was on how technology can be used for green transitions and digital transformation processes; Joint commitments to combat climate change and promote environmentally friendly practices were emphasized.
243 Million Euro Grant Support

Kacır stated that they held important consultations on issues including science and technology policies, green and digital transformation of the industry, Türkiye's more effective use of EU funds, and increased participation in EU structures related to science and R&D, and said, "Our country's participation in the European Research Area We mutually shared our suggestions and good practice examples in order to increase integration. We have revealed our priorities in our science, technology and innovation policies. We shared the progress we have made recently in the field of green and digital transformation. As a partner in twin transition We discussed the need to increase the synergy between the 'Union' programs, especially 'Horizon Europe' and 'Digital Europe', and the 'Pre-Accession Assistance Instrument' in order to achieve our goals. Finally, we evaluated cooperation opportunities in the field of technology transfer and entrepreneurship in order to ensure the integration of our innovation eco-systems.” he said.
Stating that our country's success chart in Horizon Europe, the world's largest civilian R&D program, is among the examples of concrete cooperation with our European partners in the field of research and innovation, Minister Kacır said, “In the Horizon Europe Program, covering the years 2021-2027, 1107 projects have been implemented since 2021.” We brought 243 million euros of grant support to Türkiye through 486 projects in which Turkish executives were involved. In addition, we increased the number of organizations involved as coordinators in multi-partner projects to 40. “We have prepared our road maps with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and our relevant stakeholders to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of the aluminum, steel, fertilizer and cement sectors, which correspond to 12.7 percent of our exports to the EU.” Kacır said, “With the 'Sectoral Green Growth Technology Roadmaps' designed by TÜBİTAK, the technological progress of our industrial enterprises in the iron and steel, aluminum, cement, fertilizer, plastic and chemical sectors, which are of vital importance for our economy, provide basic input to many sectors and stand out in terms of carbon emissions, “We identified their needs.” he said.

EU Commission Member Responsible for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Iliana Ivanova stated that they met today to underline the important role played by education, research and innovation, especially in supporting the green transformation. In his speech TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Mandal expressed his pleasure in attending the Türkiye -EU High Level Dialogue Meeting, held for the second time in the field of science, research, technology and innovation, and especially in co-chairing this first session focusing on the "Sustainable Innovation Axis".
“In today's rapidly evolving environment, the imperative for collaboration has never been clearer. “Our shared future depends on our ability to use the power of science, research, technology development and innovation to address urgent global challenges, from climate change to public health crises.” Saying Mandal, “Türkiye has a long-term commitment to benefit from R&D activities to overcome global challenges, as emphasized in our 12th Development Plan. has the vision. In the presentation made by European Commission European Research Area and Innovation Director Anna Panagopoulou, information was given on the progress made towards the ERA Policy Agenda 2022-2024 and cooperation in the upcoming policy agenda, strengthening the European Research Area and increasing scientific/technological cooperation. It was stated that the achievements of the ERA Policy Agenda are seen as important steps to consolidate the European Union's leadership in the field of science and innovation and to achieve common goals.
In the presentation made by COST Director Roland de Bruin, strategic areas in COST Actions and especially the achievements of our country were shared. COST Actions make significant contributions to researcher careers and It was emphasized that a significant value was created within the scope of transforming into Horizon European projects.
In the presentation made by Hande Alpaslan, Head of TÜBİTAK Science, Technology and Innovation Department, information was given about Türkiye 's R&D and Innovation Priority issues. It was stated that the aim is to achieve structural transformation in the industry in Türkiye by focusing on priority sectors and development areas.
Session 2 - Collaboration in Green and Digital Transformation in Industries
The second session was chaired by Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Ahmet Yozgatlıgil and Head of the European Union Delegation to Türkiye, Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut.
In the presentation made by Peter Droell, Director General of Prosperity of the European Commission, the issues of global eco-world, ecosystems, greening through crises and going through a green business boom were emphasized for a fair and sustainable Europe towards 2050. Stating that productivity and welfare are important elements for research and innovation, Droell said that this also He noted that it is important for his policies. The importance of Industry 5.0, human-robot collaboration and the integration of advanced technologies to create flexible, efficient and responsive production systems was conveyed.
In the presentation made by Manuel Palazuelos Martinez, Head of Department from the EU Joint Research Center, information was given about Türkiye 's Smart Specialization experiences and learning from best practices in the EU. The important role of the JRC in providing technical expertise, data analysis and policy guidance to Türkiye 's smart specialization strategies development process was mentioned.
In the speech made by TÜBİTAK Vice President İsmail Doğan, it was emphasized that the strengthened cooperation between the European Union and Türkiye in the ERA joint industrial technology road maps represents an important step, especially with a focus on green and digital transformation. In the speech made by İlker Murat Ar, General Director of Industry at the Ministry of Industry and Technology, it was stated that investments were made in new industry and business opportunities and that it was aimed to reduce carbon emissions by 2030 in line with the Green Deal Action Plan. In order to realize the green transformation in the industry, in the first stage, road maps were determined to reduce carbon emissions in sectors such as steel, aluminum, cement and plastic. In this context, it was noted that as the first component for businesses, KOSGEB will provide loans to SMEs focusing on renewable energy, resource efficiency and circular technologies, as the second component, TÜBİTAK will provide support to companies, and as the third component, coaching support will be provided to companies within the scope of the road map.
Session 3 - Creating a Thriving Innovation Ecosystem

In the presentation made by Claire Morrel, Head of Department from the European Commission, the importance of EIT Jumpstarter for Turkish innovators and our country's success in this regard were emphasized. Information was given about the pilot project launched by EIT to support the innovation capacity of university higher education institutions. Updated information was given about the current situation of our country within the scope of Marie Curie Programs.
In her presentation, Deputy Director General of EU Research and Innovation, Signe Ratso, stated that a significant budget was allocated for innovation and technology development within the scope of the European Innovation Council (EIC), which is within the scope of Horizon Europe. Ratso touched on the role of the EIC in relation to deep Technology and Scaling initiatives.
Head of Department Damla Turan from the Ministry of Industry and Technology Technology entrepreneurship ecosystem in Türkiye and gave information about technology transfer mechanisms. Turan emphasized the priorities of the National Technology Initiative and the successes in Türkiye 's high technology exports.
In his presentation, TÜBİTAK Horizon Europe Coordinator Çağrı Yıldırım gave information about the latest developments in the application areas of Horizon Europe. In the presentation, the potential of Turkish participants to benefit from the program at EIC was emphasized.
Within the scope of the closing speeches made by Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and EU Commissioner Ivanova, he emphasized the importance and potential of cooperation between Türkiye and the European Union in the fields of science, research, technology and innovation. Focusing on the role of innovation in supporting economic growth and environmental sustainability, it has become a platform where best practices are shared, collaboration opportunities are evaluated and steps to be taken towards a more sustainable future are determined.

Following the sessions, the ceremony began to present Rana Sanyol with the EIT-EIC European Women Innovator Award. Afterwards, the EIC Plug-in Scheme Certificate was obtained. Within the scope of this certificate, the right to proceed directly from the EIC full project proposal stage will be provided by the European Commission for 20 Turkish companies selected every year.
It is expected from the call that cooperation between industrial organizations will increase and R&D outputs will turn into commercial products more quickly. It is also thought that the call will encourage the emergence of spin-off companies within the Customer Organization. It is anticipated that the call will increase the effectiveness of the national innovation system in terms of directly contributing to the processes of sharing, disseminating and productizing information.
There is a condition that a Customer Organization and at least one Supplier Organization jointly apply to the call and the Supplier Organization must be SME scale. Application and support processes will be carried out between TÜBİTAK and the Customer Organization. R&D projects with high commercialization potential can be supported from all sectors and all technology fields. Project proposals need to cover the work to be done by the Supplier Organization and market research and economic feasibility review are of utmost importance. The Supplier Organization is expected to develop the product (or process) by conducting R&D studies, and the Customer Organization is expected to monitor that the project is carried out as intended.

The project budget will be a maximum of 10,000,000 TL. The project duration is a maximum of 24 months.
In Order-Based R&D calls, the expenses of project personnel from the Customer Organization who carry out activities such as management, quality, testing, and validation, as well as field verification of the product (this support will not exceed 18 man-months of labor), and intercity travel expenses are supported.
For projects within the scope of the Order R&D call; The Customer Organization will pay at least 40% of the periodical project expenses to the Supplier Organization, and TÜBİTAK will give 40% of the "accepted expenditure amount" to the Supplier Organization as a grant after evaluating the expenses.

The Technology and Innovation Support Programs Directorate (TEYDEB) conducts the 1501-Industrial R&D Support Program and the 1507-SME R&D Startup Support Program to support the project-based research, technology development, and innovation activities of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. Two calls are opened each year under these programs.

Notes on Call Schedule
1. In order to apply, an organization-based pre-registration application must be submitted to TUBITAK. The specified date is the deadline for sending the organization-based pre-registration application to TÜBİTAK via PRODİS. Pre-registration documents must reach TUBITAK at least one business day before the call closing date. If pre-registration approval cannot be given due to deficiencies in organization-based pre-registration documents, the responsibility belongs to the organization. There is no need to wait for the call opening date for organization-based pre-registration. For this reason, companies planning to apply for the call are recommended to carry out organization-based pre-registration without wasting time.
2. Organizations that have previously received organization-based pre-registration approval will not pre-register on an organization basis again and will not send pre-registration documents.
3. This is the deadline for project proposals to be sent via PRODİS. Organization-based pre-registration approval must be obtained for submission. IMPORTANT REMINDER: Since the project proposals will be sent with e-signature, the e-signature must be provided or, in case of e-signature, the e-signature validity periods must be checked, and the e-signature must be renewed if the e-signature expires until the call closing date.
The Global Research Council is a virtual organisation, comprised of the heads of science and engineering funding agencies from around the world, dedicated to promote the sharing of data and best practices for high-quality collaboration among funding agencies worldwide. Head of research councils (HORCs) come together once a year through the GRC annual meetings.
The purposes of the Global Research Council thus are sixfold:
To improve communication and cooperation among funding agencies;
To promote the sharing of data and best practices for high-quality research cooperation;
To provide a forum for regular meetings of the Heads of Research Councils;
To respond to opportunities and to address issues of common concern in the support of research and education;
To be a resource for those institutions wishing to build a world-class research landscape;
To explore mechanisms that support the global science enterprise and the worldwide research community.
TÜBİTAK will co-host the GRC 2025 Annual Meeting, which is planned to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between 18-22 May 2025, together with King Abdulaziz City for Research and Technology (KACST) and Research, Development and Innovation Authority (RDIA).

ITEA4 is a EUREKA Cluster that supports industry-driven, pre-competitive R&D projects with the aim of maintaining Europe’s competitiveness in the field of software-intensive services and systems.

TÜBİTAK Başkan Yardımcısı İsmail Doğan, 19 Eylül 2024 tarihinde Brezilya’nın Manaus şehrinde düzenlenen G20 Araştırma ve İnovasyon Bakanlar Toplantısına Türkiye'yi temsilen katıldı. Toplantıda, küresel zorluklarla mücadelede inovasyonun rolü, sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine (SDG) ulaşmada açık bilim ve teknolojinin önemi gibi kritik konular masaya yatırıldı. İsmail Doğan, üç farklı oturumda Türkiye’nin bilim ve teknoloji politikalarını ve küresel iş birliğine olan katkılarını dile getiren önemli konuşmalar gerçekleştirdi, Türkiye’nin bilim, teknoloji ve inovasyon alanındaki çalışmalarını uluslararası düzeyde bir kez daha vurguladı. Toplantı, sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine (SDG) ulaşma ve küresel zorluklara çözüm bulma amacıyla, bilimsel araştırmaların ve inovasyonun merkezi rolünü vurguladı. Doğan, Türkiye’nin bu küresel iş birliği çerçevesinde oynayacağı aktif rolü ve sunduğu katkıları detaylı bir şekilde ele aldı.
Birinci Oturum: Küresel Zorluklar ve Açık Bilim
İsmail Doğan, ilk oturumda küresel zorlukların çok yönlü ve karmaşık olduğunu, bu sorunların tek bir ülke ya da bölge tarafından çözülemeyeceğini vurguladı. Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedeflerine ulaşmada bilimsel araştırmaların ve yeni teknolojilerin önemine dikkat çeken Doğan, açık bilimin bu süreçte oynadığı kritik rolü belirtti. Türkiye’nin G20 bünyesinde açık inovasyon ve bilim iş birliğini desteklemeye devam edeceğini belirterek, bilimsel ilerlemelerin dünya çapında paylaşılmasının önemine değindi.
İklim Değişikliği ve Yenilenebilir Enerji Çözümleri
Toplantıda iklim değişikliğinin aciliyetine dikkat çeken Doğan, Türkiye’nin yenilenebilir enerji sektöründeki araştırma ve inovasyon çalışmaları hakkında önemli bilgiler paylaştı. Türkiye'nin zengin güneş ve rüzgar kaynakları ile bu alanda önemli adımlar attığını belirten Doğan, bu yatırımların sadece iklim değişikliğiyle mücadeleye değil, aynı zamanda Türkiye’nin yeşil enerji inovasyonunda bölgesel bir oyuncu olmasına da katkı sağladığını ifade etti. G20’nin Uluslararası Enerji Ajansı (IEA) ile yürüttüğü iş birliğinin, ülkelerin temiz ve sürdürülebilir enerji sistemlerine geçişine katkı sağlayacağını vurguladı.
Biyoçeşitliliğin Korunması ve Ekosistemlerin Önemi
İklim değişikliğiyle mücadelenin yanı sıra, biyolojik çeşitliliğin korunmasının da önemine değinen Doğan, G20’nin Belmont Forum ile iş birliğinin bu alandaki küresel araştırmaları desteklediğini belirtti. Türkiye'nin özellikle Akdeniz Havzası'nda iklim değişikliğine karşı savunmasız olduğunu ifade eden Doğan, bu doğrultuda biyolojik çeşitliliğin korunmasına yönelik çabaların hayati önemde olduğunu söyledi.
Kapsayıcılık ve Çeşitlilik: Bilimde ve İnovasyonda Adalet
Doğan, küresel bilim ve inovasyon çabalarının yalnızca teknolojik ilerleme ile sınırlı kalmaması gerektiğini, aynı zamanda çeşitliliği ve kapsayıcılığı da göz önünde bulundurması gerektiğini belirtti. Bilimsel araştırmaların her kesimden insanı kapsaması gerektiğini vurgulayan Doğan, G20’nin kapsayıcılık ve çeşitlilik konusundaki girişimlerini Türkiye’nin de desteklediğini ifade etti. “Kültürel farklılıkları benimsemek ve ayrımcılıkla mücadele etmek, küresel bilim topluluğunu güçlendirecek ve SDG’lere ulaşmada herkesin rol oynamasını sağlayacaktır,” dedi.
İkinci Oturum: Bakanlar Bildirisi - İklim Değişikliğiyle Mücadelede Açık İnovasyonun Rolü
Toplantının ikinci oturumunda İsmail Doğan, G20 Bakanlar Deklarasyonu’na ilişkin Türkiye’nin görüşlerini dile getirdi. Özellikle iklim değişikliği, yoksullukla mücadele ve küresel sağlık gibi acil konularda uluslararası iş birliğinin zorunlu olduğuna dikkat çekti. Açık inovasyonun bu sorunlara çözüm bulma sürecini hızlandıracağına değinen Doğan, bilim ve teknolojinin sınır tanımadan paylaşılması gerektiğini belirtti.
Doğan ayrıca, Bakanlar Deklarasyonuna dahil edilen "Çeşitlilik, Eşitlik, Kapsayıcılık ve Erişilebilirlik" temalarını desteklediklerini ifade etti. Bilimsel araştırmaların, çeşitlilik ve kapsayıcılık ilkeleri doğrultusunda ilerlemesinin, daha yaratıcı ve etkili çözümler üreteceğini vurguladı. Türkiye'nin bu ilkeleri G20 platformunda da savunmaya devam edeceğini ekledi.
Üçüncü Oturum: Geleceğe Bakış
Toplantının son oturumunda Doğan, bilim ve teknolojinin küresel riskleri azaltmada oynadığı rolün altını çizdi. G20’nin, sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine ulaşmada bilimsel iş birliklerini güçlendiren adımlar attığını ifade etti. Doğan, Türkiye'nin de bu iş birliği çerçevesinde enerji, sağlık, ormanlaşma ve karbon azaltma gibi kritik alanlarda önemli projeler yürüttüğünü belirtti. Toplantının sonuç bildirisinde belirtilen eylem planlarını hayata geçirmek için Türkiye’nin ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde gerekli adımları atacağını duyurdu.
Bilim Diplomasisi
Toplantı kapsamında İsmail Doğan, bilim diplomasisi çerçevesinde Afrika Birliği Eğitim, Bilim, Teknoloji ve İnovasyon Birimi (ESTI) Heyeti ve Endonezya Ulusal Araştırma ve Yenilik Ajansı (BRIN) Başkanı ile de önemli görüşmeler gerçekleştirdi. Görüştüğü isimler arasında Prof. Mohammed Belhocine (ESTI Komiseri), Prof. Saidou Madougou (Afrika Birliği), Salaheddine Tiar (ESTI Komiseri Sekreteri) ve Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko (BRIN Başkanı) yer aldı. Bu görüşmelerde Türkiye’nin bilimsel ve teknolojik iş birliği olanakları değerlendirilirken, özellikle iklim değişikliği ve yenilenebilir enerji konularında ortak projeler geliştirme hedefi vurgulandı.
İsmail Doğan’ın katılımıyla Türkiye, G20 Araştırma ve İnovasyon Bakanlar Toplantısında bilim, teknoloji ve inovasyon alanında aktif bir rol oynamaya devam ettiğini gösterdi. Türkiye'nin sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine ulaşmada bilimsel iş birliği ve açık inovasyona verdiği önem bir kez daha gözler önüne serildi.

Funding Mechanism
COST budget can cover the following scientific activities:
Action Management Committee (MC) meetings
Working Group (WG) Meetings
Scientific workshops and seminars
Short term scientific visits
Courses and research conferences
Financial support is also provided for activities aimed at disseminating the outputs resulting from action studies.
COST only covers the costs of Action networking activities, and does not provide research support. Research support can be provided in accordance with the procedures of the National Funding Institutions (TUBITAK in Türkiye).
In order to be nominated as a Management Committee (MC) member to an ongoing COST Action, the 2-person MC member quota granted to Türkiye should be available. Two people from each country are allowed to attend MC meetings and expenses covered from COST Action budget.
Working Groups, where the scientific activities of the Actions are carried out, are thematic groups on the sub-scientific subjects of the Action and Working Group members are appointed by the Action Management Committee. There is no limit on the number of Working Group members, and new members are appointed taking into account issues such as the person's expertise and the current budget of the Action. Meeting attendance expenses of both Working Group and Management Committee members are covered from the Action budget.
The purpose of this program is to support research projects that comply with scientific principles for generating new information, making scientific comments or solving technological problems.
PROJECT DURATION
The project duration is maximum 36 months.
PROJECT BUDGET
As of the first period of 2026, the requested budget from TÜBİTAK can be maximum 3.000.000 TRY (including scholarship, excluding project incentive bonus (PTI) and overhead) without annual budget limit.

NOTE: Based on TÜBİTAK Board’s resolution in its 4th meeting dated 03.01.2019, prize and support schemes mentioned above are closed for application.
International Patent Supports
International Patent Application Support is provided for international patent applications, in which TURKPATENT is the receiving office, made to World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) within the scope of Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
International Patent Examination Report Support is provided for national stage entries to the European Patent Office (EPO), the Japanese Patent Office (JPO), the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the People's Republic of China Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) or the American Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) following PCT applications, in which TURKPATENT is the receiving office. Following PCT applications, in which TURKPATENT is the receiving office International Patent Examination Report Support is provided for national stage entry applications made to the European Patent Office (EPO), the Japanese Patent Office (JPO), the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the People's Republic of China Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and the American Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
International Patent Prize is given if a patent application supported under the International Patent Examination Report Support is registered by EPO, JPO, KIPO, SIPO or USPTO.

The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) provides various scholarship and support programmes for scientists working in the field of life sciences. These programmes, which are financed by the European Molecular Biology Conference (EMBC) provide grant, accommodation and networking support to the researchers.
Via Scientific Exchange Grants, EMBO provides funding to researchers working in the field of life sciences to conduct research visits to laboratories in countries that are EMBC members or EMBC/EMBO global partners.
Eligibility:
Researchers who meet the following conditions can apply for this programme:
Being an active researcher at any stage of their career with at least 1 year of graduate research experience at the time of application;
Not applying for an exchange between two laboratories within the same country;
Not applying to work in a laboratory that the applicant has previously worked or visited;
Not applying to attend courses, workshops or symposia;
Returning to their own laboratory upon the completion of the scientific exchange and staying there for at least 6 months.

Programme Benefits:
Grant is awarded for visits of 1 week up to 3 months.
Grantees can stay longer than 3 months (with a maximum of 6 months) during their visits, but the EMBO grant must be used for the first 3 months of the visit.
Grant contributes towards travel costs and subsistence of the fellow but not of any dependents with the subsistence rate depending on the country being visited.
No fund can be provided for additional expenses other than these items.

Organising workshops or practical courses that are covering a topic from the life sciences and related to EMBO subject areas;
Providing a list of mostly confirmed speakers or instructors are required.

The Participation Letter which will be sent via e-mail by system should be approved by the researcher outside Türkiye.
- Curriculum Vitae for Researcher/Consultant outside Türkiye (in case there is a researcher/consultant outside Türkiye in the project team, curriculum vitae of researcher/consultant is automatically created by the system in line with ARBİS information. In order to upload detailed CVs of the researcher/consultant outside Türkiye, a field is also opened in the system.)
The following documents must be submitted fully in desired format within the time given by the relevant Research Support Group; If it is decided to support the project. If the documents cannot be obtained within the given time, the project will not be implemented.
