General Information

The Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) was established in 1992 with the participation of 11 countries to promote peace, stability, and economic and political cooperation among its member states. The organization aims to enhance regional collaboration and integration through various Working Groups, including Science and Technology. The current members of BSEC include Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Türkiye, and Ukraine.

Türkiye is represented in the BSEC Working Group on Science and Technology by TÜBİTAK.

Support Mechanisms

Project Development Fund

The Project Development Fund (PDF) supports projects that contribute to regional development by assisting in the preparatory and development phases. The goal is to encourage innovative ideas and provide funding for project design and implementation plans. (More information)

Application Conditions

To ensure regional benefits, project proposals submitted to the Project Development Fund must include at least three BSEC member countries as partners.

Project partners can be any legal entity based in a BSEC member country.

Non-BSEC members can also participate, provided they finance their own activities.
