2204-C High School Students Polar Research Projects Competition, organized under the technical leadership of TÜBİTAK Directorate for Scientist Support Programs (BİDEB) and the overall coordination of the Directorate for Science and Society (BİTO), seeks to encourage high school students to conduct studies on polar sciences in the Antarctic and Arctic regions and guide them toward research in this field. The competition also seeks to contribute to Türkiye’s goal of becoming one of the leading countries in international scientific circles in the field of polar sciences through the qualified studies carried out by students.
In 2026, the competition was organized in the following four main fields:
Life Sciences
Physical Sciences
Social Sciences and Humanities
Earth Sciences
The competition is open to high school students studying in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Projects that successfully completed the Preliminary Evaluation stage participated in the Final Evaluation held online. Following the Final Evaluation, the projects entitled to receive awards have been determined.
Evaluation results are available on the Project Management System (PYS).
