2204-D High School Students Climate Change Research Projects Competition, organized under the technical leadership of TÜBİTAK Directorate for Scientist Support Programs (BİDEB) and the overall coordination of the Directorate for Science and Society (BİTO), seeks to raise awareness among high school students about climate change and encourage them to conduct studies on the sustainable use of Türkiye’s natural resources. The competition also seeks to contribute to building public awareness of climate change and developing solutions to its adverse impacts.
In 2026, the competition was organized in the following six main fields and 22 sub-fields:
Environment
Economic Sectors
Air and Climate
Water Research
Sustainability and Welfare
Public Awareness
The competition is open to high school students studying in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Projects that successfully completed the Preliminary Evaluation stage participated in the Final Evaluation held online. Following the Final Evaluation, the projects entitled to receive awards have been determined.
