We continue to accelerate the efforts that will strengthen Türkiye's position as an independent and leading country in the field of science, technology, and innovation, and increase the competitiveness of our country around the world, with the great contributions of valuable scientists in our country. The 2232 programmes continues to encourage successful researchers who have experience working abroad to come to Türkiye with high-level scientific and/or technological studies in their fields in order to contribute to the projects to be carried out in areas of strategic value for our country. The evaluation process for 2024-2nd term calls for 2232-A International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers Programme and 2232-B International Early Stage Researchers Programme has been completed.

In the current call of the 2232 Programmes, researchers have been granted for support to initiate their projects in our country. The researchers coming to our country are distinguished by their experience in leading institutions, including top 150 universities in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) or THE (Times Higher Education) World University Rankings, in the World’s Top 2500 R&D spending companies listed by the European Commission Joint Research Centre, and in the Scimago Institutions Rankings.
The supported researchers will be provided with a living expenses scholarship, family allowance, health insurance and travel allowance. In order for researchers to conduct leading scientific research in our country, an initial research grant, a research project grant, scholarships and project incentive bonuses for those who will take part in the project team, and institutional share allowance for host institutions will be provided.
In addition to these supports, the programme will also provide mentorship support to new researchers from leading researchers who have previously come to our country and started their projects.
