2242–University Students Research Project Competitions, conducted under the technical leadership of the TÜBİTAK Directorate for Scientist Support Programs (BİDEB) and coordinated by the Directorate for Science and Society, are organized to encourage associate degree and bachelor’s degree students to conduct research, contribute to Türkiye’s science-based knowledge and technology production, and support the development of qualified human resources in line with the National Technology Initiative.
In 2026, the competitions were held in the following nine main fields and thematic areas under these fields:
Smart Cities and Transportation
Information and Communication Technologies
Education
Energy and Environment
Food and Agriculture
Machinery Manufacturing and Automotive
Health
Defense, Space and Aviation
Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The competitions are open to associate degree and bachelor’s degree students studying in Türkiye or abroad. Project teams that successfully completed the Preliminary Evaluation stage participated in the Final Evaluation held online. Following the Final Evaluation, the projects selected to receive awards were determined.
Evaluation results are available on the Project Management System (PYS).
