Since 2007, TÜBİTAK Science and Society Directorate have been supporting projects that aim to carry out scientific activities for different segments of society, from preschool children to undergraduate students and teachers.
The 2026 call for 4007-Science Festivals Support Programme, which aims to promote scientific culture and communication in society, has been published.
Several significant updates and improvements have been made for the 2026 call period. The key changes include:
Support categories have been updated to Science Festivals and Science Days.
The terms “Science Festival” and “bilimfest” have been introduced.
The maximum support limits and program scope have been revised.
Minimum numbers of events and required protocols have been updated.
The Visibility Guide has been revised.
For projects supported under Science Festivals, the option to transfer the budget to the executing institution/organization has been introduced.
The percentage allocated for the machinery and equipment expenses has been updated.
Applications for the programme will be accepted until 2 March 2026 (17.30, UTC +3).
