CORNET 40th Call for the Needs of SMEs is Open for Applications

CORNET 40th Call, supporting collective Research projects for the needs of SMEs, is open for applications.

Collective Research Network (CORNET) 40th Call is open for applications for proposals to realise further international research projects for the benefits of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The deadline for the submission of project proposals is 24 September2025. 

CORNET combines existing national or regional funding programs and brings together financial resources from two (or more) participating countries/regions into one project budget.  Project consortiums should involve at least 2 partner countries and the international application must include three stakeholders from each country. Participating countries of CORNET 40th Call are Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czechia, Germany, Switzerland and Türkiye.

1. R&D and innovation activities must be carried out by the research partner (higher education institutions, training and research hospitals, public institutions and organizations within the scope of the Higher Education Law).

2. Project topics must be determined by an SME Association in line with the needs of SMEs. The task of the SME Association is to determine the needs of its members and ensure the dissemination of project outputs.

3. An SME User Committee consisting of at least 3 SMEs must be defined in applications. The SME User Committee is expected to direct the project team and increase the efficiency of the project.

Within the scope of the call, a national application must be submitted as well as an international application. International application should be done through the CORNET Submission Tool. Higher education institutions, training and research hospitals, public institutions and organizations located in Türkiye can apply through the TÜBİTAK Submission Tool
