TÜBİTAK Research Institute of Fundamental Sciences (TBAE) continues to take important steps to expand its efforts to generate high-quality scientific knowledge across a broad range of fundamental science disciplines and interdisciplinary fields, organize scientific events at the interntional level, and enhance Türkiye’s scientific competitiveness. In this context, the Integrated Sensing and Communication Winter School (TBAE ISAC) will be held on 23–25 November 2026.
Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) is emerging as a key technology for 6G networks, enabling wireless systems to perform both communication and sensing using shared spectrum, hardware, and waveforms. It also offers new opportunities for environmental awareness and positioning.
The TBAE ISAC Winter School aims to cover the fundamentals of radar and wireless sensing; OFDM and MIMO systems; ISAC architectures; waveform and beamforming design; sensing configurations; performance limits; and the trade-offs between sensing and communication. Additional topics may include channel modeling, 5G-Advanced and 6G standardization activities, and application areas such as vehicle sensing and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) detection. The school will also feature talks addressing current research and open challenges in the field of ISAC.
In-person participation is limited to 50 participants. Priority will be given to master's and doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers working in relevant fields. All selected participants will receive complimentary accommodation and domestic transportation support within Türkiye (by bus or train).
