International Electric Vehicle Races, organized under the technical leadership of TÜBİTAK Rail Transportation Technologies Institute (RUTE) and the overall coordination of the Directorate for Science and Society (BITO), aim to enable teams to design and develop their electric vehicles in line with the specified technical requirements and demonstrate their performance on the race track, while also supporting the development of qualified human resources who will contribute to the advancement of electric vehicle technologies. Organized in 2026 in two different categories, namely Electromobile and Hydromobile, the International Electric Vehicle Races seek to provide students with knowledge and experience in engineering, design, system integration, and driving performance in the field of electric vehicle technologies.
The Electromobile Category is open to high school students from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as well as associate and undergraduate students studying in Türkiye or abroad. The Hydromobile Category is open to associate and undergraduate students studying in Türkiye or abroad. Teams that have successfully passed the Team Development and Technological Maturity Assessment Video and Technical Design Report stage are now eligible to submit their Technical Approval Videos. Based on the video evaluation, the finalist teams will be determined.
