International Electric Vehicle Races, conducted under the technical leadership of TÜBİTAK RUTE (Rail Transportation Technologies Institute) and coordinated by the Directorate for Science and Society (BİTO), are organized to enable teams to design and develop their electric vehicles in line with the specified technical requirements and demonstrate their performance on the race track. The races also seek to support the development of qualified human resources who will contribute to the advancement of electric vehicle technologies in Türkiye and at the international level.
Organized in 2026 in two categories, Electromobile and Hydromobile, International Electric Vehicle Races aim to provide students with knowledge and experience in engineering, design, system integration and driving performance in the field of electric vehicle technologies.
The Electromobile Category is open to high school students from Türkiye, Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as well as associate degree and bachelor’s degree students studying in Türkiye or abroad. The Hydromobile Category is open to associate degree and bachelor’s degree students studying in Türkiye or abroad. Teams that successfully passed the Technical Approval Video stage have qualified to participate in the final race. After completing the required checks and tests in the final race, the finalist teams will take to the race track and complete three laps.
