LUKE–Linking Ukraine to the European Research Area Joint Call, implemented under the Horizon Europe Programme, has been launched for applications.

LUKE (Linking Ukraine to the European Research Area) is a multilateral joint call mechanism supported under the Horizon Europe Programme, aiming to strengthen long-term cooperation in the fields of science, technology and innovation between EU Member States and Associated Countries and Ukraine.The LUKE Joint Call aims to enhance research and innovation capacity in shared priority areas, support the integration of Ukraine into the European Research Area, and foster sustainable international cooperation.

Within the first Joint Call to be launched under LUKE, project proposals are expected to target one of the thematic areas listed below:

Sustainable and Renewable Energy and Energy Security

Cyber Resilience of Critical Infrastructures and Adaptive Cybersecurity Systems

Medical and Health Research: Telemedicine and Biomedical Research

Social Sciences and Humanities: Social Cohesion, Sustainable Societal Development and the Reconstruction of Human Capital

Applications:

International applications are made through DLR PT-Outline system.

National Applications are made through TÜBİTAK Project Application System (PBS).

Call Timeline:

Deadline for ınternational project applications: 15 May 2026 (11:00, CET)

Deadline for approval of the national pre-proposal: 22 May 2026 (23:59, UTC+3)

Deadline for electronic signature of the national pre-proposal: 29 May 2026 (23:59, UTC+3)
