National Earthquake Research Programme (UDAP) Will Open for Applications

With co-funding provided by TÜBİTAK and AFAD, a call for "National Earthquake Research Programme (UDAP)" will be opened within the scope of "1001-The Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program."

Türkiye is among the countries with a high level of seismic hazard due to its active tectonic setting. Accordingly, advancing the scientific understanding of earthquake processes, accurately assessing seismic hazards, and enhancing disaster risk reduction efforts have become national priorities.

In this respect, it has been planned to organize a joint call on earthquake between TÜBİTAK and AFAD with a co-financing model. Within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between the two Institutions, a special call titled "National Earthquake Research Programme (UDAP)" will be opened on 31 July 2026 within the scope of "1001-The Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program". 

Support will be given to project proposals from the following Priority R&D and Innovation Topics within the scope of the call:

- Understanding Earthquake Source Processes and Developing Observation Technologies 

- Advancing Earthquake Hazard and Risk Analyses
The submisson deadline for online application is 21 September 2026 (23.59, UTC+3), and the deadline for electronic signature procedures for proposals whose online applications have been completed is 24 September 2026 (23.59, UTC+3)
