The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP), supported under the Horizon Europe Programme, is a co-funded European partnership. The Partnership aims to support the implementation of R&I projects fostering a just and inclusive transition from the largely unsustainable ocean economy towards a renewable and circular blue economy. Within this framework, selected projects will be evaluated by an international panel of experts and subsequently funded by the respective national funding agencies.
The 2026 International Joint Call of the SBEP was officially launched on 14 September 2026 with the participation of 33 funding agencies from 28 countries, including TÜBİTAK from Türkiye. Applicants are required to comply with both the international call conditions and the national rules and regulations of the participating funding agencies. Each project proposal must be submitted by a consortium consisting of at least three partners from three different countries, each of which must be eligible for funding from at least three funding organisations participating in the SBEP 2026 call.
Applications:
International applications must be submitted through the “SBEP Proposal Submission System”.
National applications must be submitted through the “TÜBİTAK Proposal Submission System”.

Deadline for first stage (Pre-proposal) international proposal submission: 16 November 2026 (15:00, CET)
Deadline for first stage (Pre-proposal) national proposal submission: 23 November 2026 (23:59, UTC+3)
Deadline for first stage national e-signature: 26 November 2026 (23:59, UTC+3)
Only those proposals positively evaluated in Stage 1 will be invited to submit a full proposal in Stage 2. The deadline for national submissions to TÜBİTAK PBS for applicants invited to Stage 2 after the international evaluation will be announced in due course by our Institution.
