Biotechnology is the use of biology to develop new products, methods and organisms aimed at improving human, animal, agricultural, and environmental well-being. Therefore, within the scope of the Biotechnology Innovation Competition, it is expected that the core component which constitutes the original value of the developed data, products, or processes are based on biological systems.
The competition is open to high school, associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students studying in Türkiye or abroad. The teams that are successful in this stage will move on to the Detailed Project Report phase. Based on the results of this report, the teams that qualify as finalists will be eligible to participate in the competition finals.
