Within the scope of the Vertical Landing Rocket Competition, teams are expected to design a rocket that can be integrated with a Suspension System (e.g., crane) provided as part of the competition. Upon release, the avionics system is automatically activated via a separation connector, enabling the autonomous aerial vehicle to perform a controlled and soft landing on the target area using a Cold Gas Propulsion System.
The competition is open to associate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students, as well as graduates, studying in Türkiye or abroad. The evaluation process consists of three main stages: Preliminary Design Report (PDR), Critical Design Report (CDR), and Launch Readiness Report (LRR).
Based on the Launch Readiness Report results, the teams that qualify for Trial Launches will be determined. Following the completion of trial launches and flight suitability evaluations, the teams eligible to participate in the final competition will be announced.
Evaluation results are available on the KYS portal.
We sincerely thank all participating teams for their efforts and congratulate those who have advanced to the next stage.
