TÜBİTAK Research Institute of Fundamental Sciences (TBAE) continues to take significant steps toward producing high-quality knowledge across a wide range of fields in basic science and interdisciplinary research areas, organizing scientific activities at an international level, and strengthening Türkiye’s scientific competitiveness. In this context, the Wireless Communications and Beyond 5G Winter School (TBAE WCB-5G) will be organized on 2–6 February 2026 in Gebze, Türkiye.
The winter school will focus on future radio access technologies. Starting with the background on 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and its evolution (LTE-advanced and LTE-advanced PRO), 5G new Radio and Beyond 5G will be discussed in detail. Even though focus of the course will be on Radio Access Technologies (RAT), the basics of the core network architectures their comparison and wireless communications will also be covered. The school will also feature special talks highlighting the latest research developments in these fields.
Participation in the in-person program is limited. Priority will be given to master’s/PhD students and postdoctoral researchers working in relevant fields. All selected in-person participants will be provided free accommodation and domestic transportation support (bus/train).
