TÜBİTAK Popüler Bilim Kitapları, toplumu bilimle buluşturma, bilimi sevdirme, bilimsel ve teknolojik yenilik ve gelişmeleri okuyucunun bilgisine sunma ve toplumda bilim ve teknoloji kültürü oluşturma gibi konularda öncü rol oynamak amacıyla 1993 yılından beri yayımlanmaktadır.

TÜBİTAK Popüler Bilim Kitapları, ilgi çekici anlatımı ve görselleriyle okul öncesi çocuklardan yetişkinlere kadar her kesime hitap eden, farklı bilim dallarını kapsayan geniş bir kitap koleksiyonuna sahiptir.

Basımı yapılacak kitaplar, Bilim ve Toplum Başkanlığı Çalışma Usul ve Esasları’nın 15. Maddesi uyarınca Kitaplar ve Telif Eserler Yayın Danışma Kurulları (Yetişkin YDK ve Çocuk YDK) tarafından karara bağlanır.

TÜBİTAK, bilimsel ve teknolojik konulardaki bilgiyi topluma duyurmayı ve bu sayede bilimi sevdirmeyi amaçlar.

TÜBİTAK Popular Science Books has been publishing popular science books since 1993 with the aim of playing a pioneering role in bringing society together with science, fostering a love for science, presenting scientific and technological innovations and developments to readers, and building a culture of science and technology within society.

With its engaging narrative and visuals, TÜBİTAK Popular Science Books features a wide collection of books covering different branches of science that appeal to everyone from preschool children to adults.

The books to be published are decided upon by the Publication Boards.

TÜBİTAK aims to disseminate knowledge on scientific and technological subjects to society and, through this, foster a love for science.

Okul öncesi dönemdeki çocukların meraklı ve sorgulayıcı doğalarına uygun olarak neden sonuç ilişkisi kurabilecekleri, çeşitli fikir ve tahminlerde bulunabilecekleri ortamların ve araçların sağlanması gereklidir. TÜBİTAK Popüler Bilim Kitapları’nın Okul Öncesi Kitaplığı, bu dönemde çocuğun yaparak ve yaşayarak öğrenmesini, merak ve araştırma duygularının geliştirilmesini ve zihinsel yeteneklerinin uyarılmasını sağlar. In accordance with the curious and inquisitive nature of preschool children, it is essential to provide environments and tools where they can establish cause-and-effect relationships and generate various ideas and predictions. The Preschool Library of TÜBİTAK Popular Science Books enables children to learn through hands-on experience, fosters their sense of curiosity and inquiry, and stimulates their cognitive abilities during this period. İlköğretim dönemi, öğrencilerin çevrelerindeki olgu ve olaylara karşı, ilk fikirlerini kazanmaya başladıkları ve bunu takiben izleyecekleri eğitim sürecinin en önemli aşamasını oluşturur.

TÜBİTAK Popular Science Books is of great importance not only for increasing the knowledge base of adults but also for ensuring the continuity of the lifelong learning process.

Members of society studying at various levels across different educational institutions are expected to easily adapt to a constantly changing world and to remain productive. The realization of these goals is closely linked to citizens being scientifically literate. Popular science books hold a significant place in the acquisition of these traits.

Scientific literacy is the ability of an individual to ask questions born out of curiosity regarding daily life experiences, to find answers to these questions, or to identify, explain, and make predictions about natural phenomena.
