This year, 24 of our students with 14 projects participated in the International Regeneron ISEF Science and Engineering Competition representing our country. The 3 of our students who are owners of 3 projects won the grand awards given by the ISEF organization and special awards given by various organizations. Two of our projects that successfully represented our country won both the special award and the ISEF grand award.
Of the 24 students who represented our country with 14 projects in the 75th International Regeneron ISEF Science and Engineering Competition held in Columbus, USA between May 10-16, 2025; 3 of our students, the owners of 3 projects, won the grand prizes and special prizes given by the ISEF organization. Two of our students won both the special award and the ISEF grand award.
Our ISEF Grand Award Winners:
Ela Doruk KORKMAZ won the Fourth Place award in the “Cellular and Molecular Biology” category with her project titled “Investigation of Potential Anti-Cancer Impacts of Coffee Bean-Derived Exosomes Through Anti-Proliferative and Apoptosis Inducing Effects on Melanoma Skin Cancer Cells via Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Signaling Pathway”,
Reyyan ÇİFCİ won the Fourth Place award in the “Chemistry” category with her project titled “Real-Time Wound Monitoring and Bioactive Healing Accelerator via Intelligent Biosensor Bandage: Carbon Dot Embedded Novel Grape Marc Hydrogel”.

İlhami ASLANSOY won the “American Mathematical Society - One-Year Membership to American Mathematical Society to each winner (7 winning projects, up to 3 team members per project)” special award in the “Mathematics” category with him project titled “Evaluation of Difficult Integrals Through an Equation Involving Fractional Derivatives”
TÜBİTAK Special Awards
In addition, our institution has been participating in the competition as an ISEF Special Award Organization since 2023, and as a result of the evaluations made this year, 5 projects selected in the fields of “Cellular and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy and Systems Software” were awarded the TÜBİTAK Special Award. Projects that receive special awards will be awarded 1,000 US dollars per project.

In the field of “Chemistry” students named Nichaphat Aueng-Aree, Chayada Wisuttirattanamanee and Pongpop Sangsawang from Thailand with project titled “Photoswitchable Wetting Properties in Bifunctional Metavanadate-Promoted Chitosan/Cassava Biopolymer Films: A Mechanistic Study”,
In the field of “Mathematics”, a student named Liqian Ying from Singapore with project titled “Make24: Elegant Elementary Bounds for a Numbers Game”,
In the field of “Physics and Astronomy”, a student named Tristan Rei Cao from the United States with project titled “Emergent Quantum Inductance in a Chiral Orbital Current State: Next-Generation Quantum Materials and Applications”,
In the “Systems Software” category, a student named Ram Sivaraman from the United States with project titled “HM-Detect: Murmur Detection and Classification Methodology Using A Novel C^2-LSTM Architecture for Multi-Modal Signals.”
was deemed worthy of the special award.
The International Regeneron ISEF Science and Engineering Fair is the world's largest science competition organized by the Society for Science & the Public, in collaboration with many other corporate and academic sponsors, at the high school level in various cities in the United States. 1,657 students with 1,304 projects from 62 countries participated in the competition, which was held for the 75th time this year in Columbus, USA.
Eurostars Koordinatörlük Desteği Programı 2025 Ulusal Çağrısı açılmıştır. Bu çağrı kapsamında, Eurostars-3 Programı’nın 2025/2. Dönem Çağrısına uluslararası Ar-Ge ve yenilik projeleriyle başvurmak isteyen Türkiye’de yerleşik KOBİ’ler desteklenecektir. Amaç, firmaların uluslararası ortaklıklarla konsorsiyumlar kurmalarını ve proje fikirlerini geliştirmelerini sağlamaktır. Çağrı kapsamında, proje koordinatörü olarak başvurmayı planlayan KOBİ’lere proje yazma ve sunma eğitimi verilecek veya profesyonel proje yazım desteği sağlanacaktır.
Eurostars Koordinatörlük Desteği Programı proje başvuruları ve süreçleri “EUROSTARS-KOORD-DEST-2025” kodlu ve “Eurostars Koordinatörlük Desteği Programı 2025 Ulusal Çağrı Duyurusu” başlıklı ulusal çağrı kuralları çerçevesinde yürütülecektir.
Çağrı kapsamında desteklerden faydalanmayı hedefleyen KOBİ’lerin Koordinatörlük Desteği Programı Başvuruları için kuruluş bazlı ön kayıt ile başvurularını TÜBİTAK PRODIS üzerinden belirtilen tarihlerde tamamlamış olması gerekmektedir. Aşağıda yer alan tarihler, EUREKA Sekretaryası tarafından onay bilgisi iletildikten sonra kesinleşecektir.

Önemli Hususlar:
Eurostars Koordinatörlük Desteği Programına, yalnızca Türkiye’de yerleşik KOBİ ölçeğindeki sermaye şirketleri başvuru yapabilirler.
Koordinatör adayı, proje yazma-sunma eğitimi desteğinden sadece bir kez faydalanabilir. Önceden proje yazma-sunma eğitimi desteğinden faydalanılmış olması halinde tekrar aynı destekten faydalanılamaz.
Proje yazma-sunma eğitimi desteği, söz konusu koordinatör adaylarının ve kendi araştırma ekibi üyelerinin dışında kalan hiç kimseye verilmez.
Aynı proje için tek başvuruda hem proje yazma-sunma eğitimi desteği hem de proje yazdırma desteği talep edilemez.
Proje Yazdırma Desteğinden aynı konu ve kapsamdaki proje için sadece bir kez faydalanılabilir.

The Eurostars Coordinatorship Support Program 2025 National Call has been opened. Within the scope of this call, SMEs in Türkiye that want to apply to the 9th Call of the Eurostars-3 Program with international R&D and innovation projects will be supported. The objective is to assist them in building consortia with international partners and enhance their project ideas. Within the scope of the call, SMEs intending to apply as project coordinators will be eligible for project writing and presentation training or professional project preparation support.
Applications to the Eurostars Coordinatorship Support Programme 2025 National Call (code: “EUROSTARS-KOORD-DEST-2025”) will be submitted under the “Eurostars Coordinatorship Support Programme 2025 National Call” scheme.
SMEs that want to benefit from the support within the scope of the call must submit their applications with organization-based pre-registration for Coordinatorship Support Program Applications via TÜBİTAK PRODIS on the specified dates. The dates below will be finalized after the approval information is sent by the EUREKA Secretariat.

Important Points:
Only SMEs established in Türkiye are eligible to apply to the Eurostars Coordinatorship Support Program.
Coordinator candidates may benefit from the project writing and presentation training support only once. If they have already received this support, they cannot benefit the same support again.
Project writing and presentation training support is only available to coordinator candidates and members of their respective project team members.
Applicants cannot request both project writing/presentation training support and professional project preparation support for the same project.
Project preparation support can only be used once for a project with the same subject and scope.

The 36th call of the IRA-SME (International Research Activities by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) Network aims to support international research, development and innovation projects involving small and medium-sized enterprises.
The call, which will be open until 24 September 2025, allows bilateral and multilateral cooperation with SMEs in Austria, Germany, Belgium (Flanders and Walloon Regions), Brazil, Czechia, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
In addition to industry-academia cooperation is recommended for applications from Türkiye to the call, SME-SME cooperation projects involving at least 2 call partner countries can be supported.

IRA-SME (International Research Activities by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) Ağının 36. çağrısı ile küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmelerin (KOBİ) dâhil olduğu uluslararası araştırma, geliştirme ve yenilik projelerinin desteklenmesi amaçlanmaktadır.
24 Eylül 2025 tarihine kadar açık kalacak olan çağrı ile Almanya, Avusturya, Belçika (Flaman ve Valon Bölgeleri), Brezilya, Çekya, Lüksemburg ve İsviçre’de yer alan KOBİ’ler ile ikili ve çok taraflı işbirliğine olanak tanınmaktadır.
Çağrıya ülkemizden yapılacak başvurularda sanayi-akademi işbirliği önerilmekle birlikte çağrı ortağı en az 2 ülkenin yer aldığı KOBİ-KOBİ işbirliği projeleri desteklenebilecektir.
Uluslararası çağrı metnine www.ira-sme.net web sitesinden, ulusal kurallara ilişkin bilgilere ise aşağıdaki dokümandan ulaşılmaktadır. Ayrıca, 2 Temmuz 2025 tarihinde saat 16:00 (Türkiye saati ile) çağrının diğer katılımcı ülkeleriyle birlikte çevrim içi bir bilgi günü düzenlenecektir. Deneyap Teknoloji Atölyeleri, ortaokul ve lise düzeyindeki öğrencilere; yapay zekâdan robotik kodlamaya, tasarım ve üretimden siber güvenliğe kadar 11 farklı alanda eğitimler sunuyor. Bu sürece katkı sunmak isteyen, eğitime gönül vermiş, vizyoner ve yenilikçi bireyler, Türkiye'nin dört bir yanındaki atölyelerde görev almak üzere başvuruya davet ediliyor.
Seçilen eğitmenler, yalnızca birer bilgi aktarıcısı değil; aynı zamanda gençlerin teknolojiyi üreten bireyler olarak yetişmesine yön veren rol modeller olacak.
