The Turkish national team, representing our country at the 9th European Physics Olympiad, has made us proud by returning home with multiple medals.

The 9th European Physics Olympiad was held in Sofia, Bulgaria, between 13-17 June 2025, with the participation of 189 students from 40 countries. Our students representing Turkey achieved remarkable success by winning a total of 4 awards: 1 Silver, 1 Bronze, and 2 Honorable Mention.

Trained under TÜBİTAK’s 2202 Science Olympiads Program, our students achieved the following results:

The Turkish national team, representing our country at the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad, has made us proud by returning home with multiple medals.

The 57th International Chemistry Olympiad was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, between 5-14 July 2025,  with the participation of 354 students from 90 countries. Our students representing Turkey achieved remarkable success by winning a total of 4 awards: 3 Silver and 1 Bronze.

The Turkish national team, representing our country at the 29th Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, has made us proud by returning home with multiple medals.

At the Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (JBMO) held in Struga, North Macedonia, from 24-29 June 2025, with the participation of 135 outstanding students from 23 countries, students trained under the TÜBİTAK 2202 Science Olympiads Program returned home with 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 3 Bronze medals.

Representing Türkiye with distinction, our students achieved the following:

The Turkish national team, representing our country at the 36th International Biology Olympiad, has made us proud by returning home with multiple medals.

The 36th International Biology Olympiad was held in Quezon City, Philippines, from 20-27 July 2025,  with the participation of 296 students from 78 countries. Our students representing Türkiye achieved remarkable success by winning a total of 4 awards: 2 Gold and 2 Silver Medals.

Trained under TÜBİTAK’s 2202 Science Olympiads Program, our students achieved the following results:

The 2024 Summit of the World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations (WAITRO), which positions itself as the Global Innovation Family and aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas, information and experience among its member organizations and to ensure the coordination of technological applications at regional and international levels, will be held in China/Nanjing on 13-15 November 2024. 

WAITRO President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal will be the keynote speaker during the event where the Representatives from Research and Technology Institutions, universities, private sector, multilateral organizations, SMEs, public institutions and NGOs will attend the Summit. The members of WAITRO SDG Working Groups will have the opportunity to develop collaborations with other researchers and entrepreneurs. During the Summit, Digital and Green Transformation, Disaster Resistant Cities and Water and Sanitation workshops will be held under leadership of TÜBİTAK. There will also be incubators, accelerators and entrepreneurship sessions.

Within the scope of the program, researchers are given a monthly scholarship of 27,000 TL (full) and 7,500 TL (partial). Research support of up to 150,000 TL is provided for them to conduct their research. Researchers will also be able to receive direct support if they fulfill the participation conditions of the "National and International Scientific Meetings Participation Support" programs. Researchers will be able to apply for the "Scientific Training Activities Support" program within 12 months after gaining support and completing their research. If an application is made, the threshold score will be determined separately from other candidates applying to the program. The application system will be open for applications between 03 June 2024 and 12 July 2024(17.30 GMT+3:00).

Representing Türkiye at the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics, our national team has won remarkable achievements by bringing great pride to our country.

Held in Sucre, Bolivia from 27 July to 3 August 2025, the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) brought together 332 students from 87 countries. 

This prestigious international competition aims to support and encourage talented young scientists in the field of computer science. Representing our country, our students won one Silver Medal and two Bronze Medals.

Under the 2202 Science Olympiads Program carried out by TÜBİTAK BİDEB, our young scientists, who were trained to represent our country at the international level, achieved the following outstanding results; Mert KÖKSAL Silver Medal, Salih ŞAHİN and Noyan CANTÜRK Bronze Medals.

We wholeheartedly congratulate our students who represented our country at the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics and demonstrated their exceptional talent as future scientists. We extend our sincere thanks to all participating students, their families, teachers, and especially to our Committee Chairs and all academicians who contributed to their training.

Representing Türkiye at the 32nd Balkan Olympiad in Informatics, our national team achieved great success, bringing pride to our country.

Held in Udine, Italy from 25 September to 1 October 2025, the Olympiad saw 69 students from 16 countries compete, with our students winning 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals.

Our students, trained under the 2202 Science Olympiads Program conducted by TÜBİTAK, were:

Noyan CANTÜRK, who won the Gold medal; Dost SEFEROĞLU, who won the Silver medal; and Ahmet Emre GÜRDAL and Yunus Emre ARTAL, who won Bronze medals. 

We congratulate all our students who successfully represented our country and thank their families, teachers, and all academics involved in the training process, especially our Olympic Committee Presidents.

 

Important Notes

A coordinator cannot apply to this program with more than one project proposal at the same time.

Applications to this program are not included in the quota for projects applied to the coordinator / researchers benefiting from TUBITAK support programs.

As of the application deadline, those who benefit from BİDEB Research Scholarships or Supports cannot apply to this program, except for the 2244 Industry Doctorate Program and 2247-B European Research Council (ERC) Support Program.

The coordinator is expected to successfully complete a European Research Council (ERC) project in order to benefit from this support again.

The Researcher Information System (ARBİS) record must be updated before the application.

Researchers who have previously applied to the 2247-A program and will re-apply with the same project proposal should indicate the arrangements they made in their projects during the application.

Researchers who are entitled to receive support must conduct their research in Turkiye.

Within the scope of this program, researchers who are entitled to receive support must trained at least two qualified researchers.

R&D is innovative activities carried out on a systematic basis in order to increase scientific and technical knowledge, and the use of knowledge in new applications (product, process). Innovation, on the other hand, refers to a set of scientific, technological, financial and commercial activities aimed at transforming an idea into an improved or new and salable product or process.

With the 1507 SME R&D Startup Support Program, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can be more competitive by improving their technology and innovation capacities, be able to carry out systematic projects, develop products with high added value, have a corporate research technology development culture, national and international support to take part more effectively in their programmes.

1507 SME R&D Support Program is carried out on call.

The support provided is in the form of grants (non-refundable).

Unless otherwise stated in the call announcement, there is no subject limitation for projects. Applications can be made for R&D projects from all sectors and all technology fields.

The project support period is specified in the call announcement and cannot exceed 18 months in accordance with the Implementation Principles of the Program. The project budget is maximum 3.000,000 TL. It is aimed to support the first 5 projects of the company, both of which are partners, by TUBITAK. Limit on the number of projects to be submitted within the scope of the call, etc. other special conditions are specified in the call announcements.

Terms of Application
  • Applicants must be at least having associate degree,
  • The scientific meetings to be applied must be indexed in the Web of Science Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI-S, CPCI-SSH) or Scopus databases.
  • The proceedings must have been sent or accepted to the meeting for oral/poster presentation or applicant must be an invited speaker.
  • To be not supported from the program within the last two year.
  • As of the date of application, one of the following foreign language conditions must be provided in the language in which the proceedings will be presented;
    • To score at least 70 from one of the English exam that made by ÖSYM (YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL, TIPDİL etc.) or an equivalent score from one of the foreign language exams accepted as equivalent by ÖSYM,
    • To be graduated from or be a student at a university that teaching in 100% foreign languages,

 

  • To be not supported from the program within the last year.
  • One of the authors must apply for multi-author papers (Only one of the authors is supported for the same paper.)
  • In the application period, the applicant must carry his/her activities like education/research/working etc. within the Turkiye.
  • Those who work in TÜBİTAK or its affiliated institutions cannot apply to this program.
  • There is no support for published papers.

TÜBİTAK Başkan Yardımcısı İsmail Doğan, 19 Eylül 2024 tarihinde Brezilya’nın Manaus şehrinde düzenlenen G20 Araştırma ve İnovasyon Bakanlar Toplantısına Türkiye'yi temsilen katıldı. Toplantıda, küresel zorluklarla mücadelede inovasyonun rolü, sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine (SDG) ulaşmada açık bilim ve teknolojinin önemi gibi kritik konular masaya yatırıldı. İsmail Doğan, üç farklı oturumda Türkiye’nin bilim ve teknoloji politikalarını ve küresel iş birliğine olan katkılarını dile getiren önemli konuşmalar gerçekleştirdi,  Türkiye’nin bilim, teknoloji ve inovasyon alanındaki çalışmalarını uluslararası düzeyde bir kez daha vurguladı. Toplantı, sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine (SDG) ulaşma ve küresel zorluklara çözüm bulma amacıyla, bilimsel araştırmaların ve inovasyonun merkezi rolünü vurguladı. Doğan, Türkiye’nin bu küresel iş birliği çerçevesinde oynayacağı aktif rolü ve sunduğu katkıları detaylı bir şekilde ele aldı.

Birinci Oturum: Küresel Zorluklar ve Açık Bilim

İsmail Doğan, ilk oturumda küresel zorlukların çok yönlü ve karmaşık olduğunu, bu sorunların tek bir ülke ya da bölge tarafından çözülemeyeceğini vurguladı. Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedeflerine ulaşmada bilimsel araştırmaların ve yeni teknolojilerin önemine dikkat çeken Doğan, açık bilimin bu süreçte oynadığı kritik rolü belirtti. Türkiye’nin G20 bünyesinde açık inovasyon ve bilim iş birliğini desteklemeye devam edeceğini belirterek, bilimsel ilerlemelerin dünya çapında paylaşılmasının önemine değindi.

İklim Değişikliği ve Yenilenebilir Enerji Çözümleri

Toplantıda iklim değişikliğinin aciliyetine dikkat çeken Doğan, Türkiye’nin yenilenebilir enerji sektöründeki araştırma ve inovasyon çalışmaları hakkında önemli bilgiler paylaştı. Türkiye'nin zengin güneş ve rüzgar kaynakları ile bu alanda önemli adımlar attığını belirten Doğan, bu yatırımların sadece iklim değişikliğiyle mücadeleye değil, aynı zamanda Türkiye’nin yeşil enerji inovasyonunda bölgesel bir oyuncu olmasına da katkı sağladığını ifade etti. G20’nin Uluslararası Enerji Ajansı (IEA) ile yürüttüğü iş birliğinin, ülkelerin temiz ve sürdürülebilir enerji sistemlerine geçişine katkı sağlayacağını vurguladı.

Biyoçeşitliliğin Korunması ve Ekosistemlerin Önemi

İklim değişikliğiyle mücadelenin yanı sıra, biyolojik çeşitliliğin korunmasının da önemine değinen Doğan, G20’nin Belmont Forum ile iş birliğinin bu alandaki küresel araştırmaları desteklediğini belirtti. Türkiye'nin özellikle Akdeniz Havzası'nda iklim değişikliğine karşı savunmasız olduğunu ifade eden Doğan, bu doğrultuda biyolojik çeşitliliğin korunmasına yönelik çabaların hayati önemde olduğunu söyledi.

Kapsayıcılık ve Çeşitlilik: Bilimde ve İnovasyonda Adalet

Doğan, küresel bilim ve inovasyon çabalarının yalnızca teknolojik ilerleme ile sınırlı kalmaması gerektiğini, aynı zamanda çeşitliliği ve kapsayıcılığı da göz önünde bulundurması gerektiğini belirtti. Bilimsel araştırmaların her kesimden insanı kapsaması gerektiğini vurgulayan Doğan, G20’nin kapsayıcılık ve çeşitlilik konusundaki girişimlerini Türkiye’nin de desteklediğini ifade etti. “Kültürel farklılıkları benimsemek ve ayrımcılıkla mücadele etmek, küresel bilim topluluğunu güçlendirecek ve SDG’lere ulaşmada herkesin rol oynamasını sağlayacaktır,” dedi.

İkinci Oturum: Bakanlar Bildirisi - İklim Değişikliğiyle Mücadelede Açık İnovasyonun Rolü

Toplantının ikinci oturumunda İsmail Doğan, G20 Bakanlar Deklarasyonu’na ilişkin Türkiye’nin görüşlerini dile getirdi. Özellikle iklim değişikliği, yoksullukla mücadele ve küresel sağlık gibi acil konularda uluslararası iş birliğinin zorunlu olduğuna dikkat çekti. Açık inovasyonun bu sorunlara çözüm bulma sürecini hızlandıracağına değinen Doğan, bilim ve teknolojinin sınır tanımadan paylaşılması gerektiğini belirtti.

Doğan ayrıca, Bakanlar Deklarasyonuna dahil edilen "Çeşitlilik, Eşitlik, Kapsayıcılık ve Erişilebilirlik" temalarını desteklediklerini ifade etti. Bilimsel araştırmaların, çeşitlilik ve kapsayıcılık ilkeleri doğrultusunda ilerlemesinin, daha yaratıcı ve etkili çözümler üreteceğini vurguladı. Türkiye'nin bu ilkeleri G20 platformunda da savunmaya devam edeceğini ekledi.

Üçüncü Oturum: Geleceğe Bakış

Toplantının son oturumunda Doğan, bilim ve teknolojinin küresel riskleri azaltmada oynadığı rolün altını çizdi. G20’nin, sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine ulaşmada bilimsel iş birliklerini güçlendiren adımlar attığını ifade etti. Doğan, Türkiye'nin de bu iş birliği çerçevesinde enerji, sağlık, ormanlaşma ve karbon azaltma gibi kritik alanlarda önemli projeler yürüttüğünü belirtti. Toplantının sonuç bildirisinde belirtilen eylem planlarını hayata geçirmek için Türkiye’nin ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde gerekli adımları atacağını duyurdu.

Bilim Diplomasisi

Toplantı kapsamında İsmail Doğan, bilim diplomasisi çerçevesinde Afrika Birliği Eğitim, Bilim, Teknoloji ve İnovasyon Birimi (ESTI) Heyeti ve Endonezya Ulusal Araştırma ve Yenilik Ajansı (BRIN) Başkanı ile de önemli görüşmeler gerçekleştirdi. Görüştüğü isimler arasında Prof. Mohammed Belhocine (ESTI Komiseri), Prof. Saidou Madougou (Afrika Birliği), Salaheddine Tiar (ESTI Komiseri Sekreteri) ve Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko (BRIN Başkanı) yer aldı. Bu görüşmelerde Türkiye’nin bilimsel ve teknolojik iş birliği olanakları değerlendirilirken, özellikle iklim değişikliği ve yenilenebilir enerji konularında ortak projeler geliştirme hedefi vurgulandı.

İsmail Doğan’ın katılımıyla Türkiye, G20 Araştırma ve İnovasyon Bakanlar Toplantısında bilim, teknoloji ve inovasyon alanında aktif bir rol oynamaya devam ettiğini gösterdi. Türkiye'nin sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine ulaşmada bilimsel iş birliği ve açık inovasyona verdiği önem bir kez daha gözler önüne serildi.

This year, 24 of our students with 14 projects participated in the International Regeneron ISEF Science and Engineering Competition representing our country. The 3 of our students who are owners of 3 projects won the grand awards given by the ISEF organization and special awards given by various organizations. Two of our projects that successfully represented our country won both the special award and the ISEF grand award.

Of the 24 students who represented our country with 14 projects in the 75th International Regeneron ISEF Science and Engineering Competition held in Columbus, USA between May 10-16, 2025; 3 of our students, the owners of 3 projects, won the grand prizes and special prizes given by the ISEF organization. Two of our students won both the special award and the ISEF grand award.

Ela Doruk KORKMAZ won the Fourth Place award in the “Cellular and Molecular Biology” category with her project titled “Investigation of Potential Anti-Cancer Impacts of Coffee Bean-Derived Exosomes Through Anti-Proliferative and Apoptosis Inducing Effects on Melanoma Skin Cancer Cells via Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Signaling Pathway”,

Reyyan ÇİFCİ won the Fourth Place award in the “Chemistry” category with her project titled “Real-Time Wound Monitoring and Bioactive Healing Accelerator via Intelligent Biosensor Bandage: Carbon Dot Embedded Novel Grape Marc Hydrogel”.

Our Special Award Winners are as follows;

İlhami ASLANSOY won the “American Mathematical Society - One-Year Membership to American Mathematical Society to each winner (7 winning projects, up to 3 team members per project)” special award in the “Mathematics” category with him project titled “Evaluation of Difficult Integrals Through an Equation Involving Fractional Derivatives”

TÜBİTAK Special Awards

In addition, our institution has been participating in the competition as an ISEF Special Award Organization since 2023, and as a result of the evaluations made this year, 5 projects selected in the fields of “Cellular and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy and Systems Software” were awarded the TÜBİTAK Special Award. Projects that receive special awards will be awarded 1,000 US dollars per project.

In the field of “Cellular and Molecular Biology”, students named Maya Sarah Hammoud and Lara Hammoud from the United States with project titled “Decoding ASXL3: A Novel Predictor of the Spectrum, Onset, and Treatment for Neurodevelopmental Disorders”,

In the field of “Chemistry” students named Nichaphat Aueng-Aree, Chayada Wisuttirattanamanee and Pongpop Sangsawang from Thailand with project titled “Photoswitchable Wetting Properties in Bifunctional Metavanadate-Promoted Chitosan/Cassava Biopolymer Films: A Mechanistic Study”, 

In the field of “Mathematics”, a student named Liqian Ying from Singapore with project titled “Make24: Elegant Elementary Bounds for a Numbers Game”,

In the field of “Physics and Astronomy”, a student named Tristan Rei Cao from the United States with project titled “Emergent Quantum Inductance in a Chiral Orbital Current State: Next-Generation Quantum Materials and Applications”,

In the “Systems Software” category, a student named Ram Sivaraman from the United States with project titled “HM-Detect: Murmur Detection and Classification Methodology Using A Novel C^2-LSTM Architecture for Multi-Modal Signals.”

was deemed worthy of the special award.

The International Regeneron ISEF Science and Engineering Fair is the world's largest science competition organized by the Society for Science & the Public, in collaboration with many other corporate and academic sponsors, at the high school level in various cities in the United States. 1,657 students with 1,304 projects from 62 countries participated in the competition, which was held for the 75th time this year in Columbus, USA.

In the international call on Lightweighting Technologies opened within the scope of Eureka Network projects, products, processes or services that can be put on the market through international R&D projects involving organizations from at least two EUREKA member countries (provided that at least one is an EU member or a Horizon European Associated country) is intended to be revealed.

As part of the Eureka Network Projects, a significant support initiative within Eureka, the "Lightweighting Technologies" call is set to commence on 29 May 2024 with 14 countries. Aligned with Eureka's goals, it aims to provide support for projects demonstrating high potential for commercialization, focusing on the development of market-oriented products, processes, and services.

Lightweighting technology is the key enabling technology to reduce weight, save materials and increase recycling while the functionality remains or is improved. Smart lightweight design, bio-based raw materials, reuse, remanufacturing and recycled material streams are crucial parameters. Digital solutions for calculation models, production processes and the like are key tools for driving the success of lightweight innovation. Lightweighting technology provides environmental-friendly solutions, while at the same time adding commercial value across all industries.

Companies with capital companies, higher education institutions, public research centres and institutes, training and research hospitals, and research infrastructures covered by Law No. 6550 are eligible to apply for the call code 1719-Eureka Lightweighting Technologies. Applications from relevant institutions are considered in collaboration with at least one capital company.

The budget of the international call on Lightweighting Technologies is 2,500,000 Euros. For projects that will apply to the relevant call (Turkish project partners), the project budget cannot exceed 500,000 Euros. The budget of institutions other than capital companies can be up to 50% of the total project budget.

The maximum project duration is 36 months.

Eureka Network - Lightweighting Technologies project applications will be submitted in accordance with the national call rules coded “1719-Eureka Lightweighting Technologies” and titled “Eureka Network 2024 Lightweighting Technologies Call Announcement”. The call text must be thoroughly reviewed prior to the national application. If the application rules are not followed, the application may be returned without review. 

Application Process

Applications for the project will be conducted through two stages: International and national.

Stage 1/International Application:

All participating partners are required to fill out the Eureka project application form online, accessible on the call web page at (https://eureka.smartsimple.ie/s_Login.jsp). Subsequently, each application will undergo pre-evaluation by the national Eureka offices of the countries involved in this initiative. 

Stage 2/National Application:

Participants from Türkiye must submit their national applications to the TÜBİTAK 1719-Eureka Lightweighting Technologies national call, along with the international application form, by 14 November 2024 (https://eteydeb.tubitak.gov.tr/prodis.htm).

After completing the international application, institutions/organizations located in Türkiye can quickly apply to the Eureka Network Project 2024 Lightweighting Technologies national call (1719- EUREKA LIGHTWEIGHTING TECHNOLOGIES). It is necessary to pay attention to the deadline for national applications specified in the time schedule included in the call announcement.

As part of the Eureka Network Projects, a significant support initiative within Eureka, the "Disaster Resilience" call is set to commence on 13 June 2024 with 14 countries. Aligned with Eureka's goals, it aims to provide support for projects demonstrating high potential for commercialization, focusing on the development of market-oriented products, processes, and services

Collaborative international R&D, innovation and technology development projects can help society prepare for, respond to and recover from different kinds of disasters. R&D and innovation products and solutions can save life, prevent or limit environmental catastrophes and help society prepare for a future where climate change is expected to increase the frequency and scale of many kinds of disasters.

Call-Specific Requirements: 

Projects should target at least one catastrophe category and have a clear disaster-related application.

Projects should seek to produce a product, method, or service for commercialization, and project results (such as launch) should be implemented within 24 months after project completion.

Projects may create entirely new innovations or adapt, modify, and reuse existing technologies that are already in use or planned for various application areas. Although the beginning point for technology readiness varies each project, it is assumed that no project will begin with a technology readiness level (TRL) less than 4.

Companies with capital companies, higher education institutions, public research centres and institutes, training and research hospitals, and research infrastructures covered by Law No. 6550 are eligible to apply for the call code 1719-Eureka Lightweighting Technologies. Applications from relevant institutions are considered in collaboration with at least one capital company.

The budget of the international call on Lightweighting Technologies is 2,500,000 Euros. For projects that will apply to the relevant call (Turkish project partners), the project budget cannot exceed 500,000 Euros. The budget of institutions other than capital companies can be up to 50% of the total project budget.

The maximum project duration is 36 months.

National applications will be sent online at https://eteydeb.tubitak.gov.tr ​​according to the call schedules in the call announcements.

Eureka Network - Disaster Resilience project applications will be submitted in accordance with the national call rules coded “1719-Eureka Disaster Resilience” and titled “Eureka Network 2024 Disaster Resilience Call Announcement”. The call text must be thoroughly reviewed prior to the national application. If the application rules are not followed, the application may be returned without review. 

Application Process

Applications for the project will be conducted through two stages: International and national.

Stage 1/International Application:

All participating partners are required to fill out the Eureka project application form online, accessible on the call web page at (https://eureka.smartsimple.ie/s_Login.jsp). Subsequently, each application will undergo pre-evaluation by the national Eureka offices of the countries involved in this initiative. 

Stage 2/National Application:

Participants from Türkiye must submit their national applications to the TÜBİTAK 1719-Eureka Disaster Resilience national call, along with the international application form, by December 12, 2024 (https://eteydeb.tubitak.gov.tr/prodis.htm).

After completing the international application, institutions/organizations located in Türkiye can quickly apply to the Eureka Network Project 2024 Disaster Resilience national call (1719- EUREKA DISASTER RESILLIENCE). It is necessary to pay attention to the deadline for national applications specified in the time schedule included in the call announcement.

The Applied Quantum Technologies Call, which was open from  1 February 2024 to 9 May  2024, under the Eureka Network Projects, has been successfully completed with the participation of 16 countries, including Türkiye.

In parallel with this international call, a national call with the code 1719-Eureka Quantum Technologies was opened. A total of 5 project proposals were received from partnerships consisting of capital companies, higher education institutions, public research centers and institutes, training and research hospitals, and research infrastructures within the scope of Law No. 6550.

As a result of evaluations made with national and international funding organizations, it has been decided to support 3 projects.

We congratulate the organizations whose projects have been supported and remind those whose proposals were rejected that they can revise their applications in collaboration with their international partners and reapply for the call, which is planned to be opened in a similar time frame in 2025.

Representing Türkiye at the 14th European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad, our national team has returned home with remarkable achievements, bringing great pride to our country.

Held in Pristina, Kosovo, from April 11 to 17, 2025, the 14th European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) brought together 235 students from 60 countries. This prestigious international competition aims to support and encourage talented young women in the field of mathematics. Representing our country, our students won one Gold Medal, two Silver Medals, and one Honorable Mention.

Under the 2202 Science Olympiads Program carried out by TÜBİTAK, our young female scientists, who were trained to represent our country at the international level, achieved the following outstanding results; Defne Hergül: Gold Medal, Bengisu Demirbaş and Ilgın Şekerli: Silver Medals, Sude Tuncer: Honorable Mention.

We wholeheartedly congratulate our students who represented our country at the 14th European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad and demonstrated their exceptional talent as future scientists. Representing Türkiye at the 42nd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, our national team has won remarkable achievements by bringing great pride to our country.

Held in Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina from April 25 to 30, 2025, the 42nd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (BMO) brought together 143 students from 23 countries. This prestigious international competition aims to support and encourage talented young mathematicians in the field of mathematics. Representing our country, our students won three Gold Medal and three Bronze Medals.

Under the 2202 Science Olympiads Program carried out by TÜBİTAK BİDEB, our young scientists, who were trained to represent our country at the international level, achieved the following outstanding results; Selim Doğan, Ahmet Kerem KAYA and Ege AKGÜN Gold Medals, Deniz Can KARAÇELEBİ, Mustafa DORTLUOĞLU and Ahmet Kerim RÜZGAR Bronze Medals.

We wholeheartedly congratulate our students who represented our country at the 42nd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad and demonstrated their exceptional talent as future scientists. A Proud Achievement at One of the World's Most Prestigious Chemistry Olympiads: The International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad

Türkiye has once again made its mark on the global scientific stage. At the 59th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad (IMChO)—recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious and challenging chemistry competitions—all members of the Turkish National Team earned medals, making the nation proud.

Held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, from May 5 to 13, 2025, the Olympiad brought together 192 outstanding students from 39 countries. Trained under TÜBİTAK's 2202 Science Olympiads Program, our students returned home with 2 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals.

Our young scientists, who have been trained to represent our country in the international arena within the scope of 2202 Science Olympiads conducted under TÜBİTAK BİDEB, proudly fly our flag with their success in all competitions they participate in. In this context, our national team won 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals at the 65th International Mathematical Olympiad organized with the participation of 6 students. Barış KOYUNCU and Mehmet Can BAŞTEMİR won gold medals, Hakan GÖKDOĞAN and Mehmet Burak GÖNÜL won Silver medals and İrem Gülce YAZGAN and Selim DOĞAN won Bronze medals.

Additionally, İrem Gülce YAZGAN was awarded the Mirzakhani Award for being one of the top five female students from different continents who achieved the highest scores in the Olympiad.

We congratulate our national team students, who proudly represented our country and waved our flag with their success at the 65th International Mathematical Olympiad. 

We are proud of the achievements of our students, who are future scientist candidates representing our country on the international stage. The international call on Lightweighting Technologies launched under the Eureka Network projects aims to develop marketable products, processes, or services through international R&D projects involving at least two Eureka member countries (with at least one being an EU member or an Associated Horizon Europe country).

The 8th European Junior Olympiad in Informatics was held this year in Chisinau, Moldova on 16-22 August 2024 with the participation of 98 students from 26 countries.

Our young scientists, who have been trained to represent our country in the international arena within the scope of 2202 Science Olympiads conducted under TÜBİTAK, proudly fly our flag with their success in all competitions they participate in. In this context, our national team won 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals at the 8th European Junior Olympiad in Informatics, in which 4 of our students participated. Yunus Emre ARTAL won Gold medal, Mustafa Selim ÖZEKİNCİ won Silver medal, Efe GÜNGÖR and Teoman Ata KORKMAZ won Bronze medals.

We congratulate our national team students, the pride of our country, who successfully waved our flag by winning the gold medal for the first time in the Olympiads in which we have participated since 2019.
