"Plant Specific Sugar Beet and Sugar Cane Gene Screening Technology" developed by TÜBİTAK will be transferred via non-exclusive licensing method for 5 (five) years in return for a technology transfer fee.

INFORMATION ABOUT TECHNOLOGY
Extra sugar can be added to sugar-rich foods in order to reduce costs. While adulterations made with corn syrup are detected by C13 sugar analysis, adulterations made with sugar beet syrup cannot be detected by traditional analysis methods. This technology is a real-time PCR method that can detect whether sugar beet and sugar cane are mixed into food products, especially to molasses.
