PhD students who are registered in PhD programmes in Natural Sciences, Medical Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities and Engineering and Technological Sciences at universities or research centres in Türkiye are supported to perform research abroad that cannot be performed within the infrastructure in Türkiye.
Applications are made through TYBS online application system.
The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye grants fellowships for scientists/researchers planning to do research abroad in the areas of Natural Sciences, Medical Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, and Engineering and Technological Sciences. Maximum duration of the fellowship is 12 months. Fellows are required to use their fellowships within 12 months after notification of the fellowship.
The monthly scholarship amount is 1700 EUR (maximum) for European countries, 1500 GBP for Great Britain ,1900 USD (maximum) for other countries. Travel costs (round trip) for both fellow and his/her spouse. The payments are deposited to the fellow's bank account opened either in Türkiye or in the host country.
