Within the framework of the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Protocol between the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) and the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), the following projects have been decided to be supported within the scope of the bilateral cooperation call.

Türkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Araştırma Kurumu (TÜBİTAK) ile Pakistan Bilim Vakfı (Pakistan Science Foundation, PSF) İkili İşbirliği Destek Programı arasındaki Bilimsel ve Teknolojik İş Birliği Protokolü çerçevesinde açılan ikili iş birliği çağrısı kapsamında aşağıdaki projelerin desteklenmesine karar verilmiştir.

With the aim of contributing to the development of human capital, a key element of the National Technology Initiative, the 3rd term calls of the programme have been launched. The programme aims to encourage high school students, as well as students and recent graduates with post-secondary education level, to create projects, improve their projects through feedback and participate in both national and international scientific competitions and related events.

Within the scope of the programme, with Turkish Airlines as the transportation sponsor, financial support will be provided for participation in competitions and events held in Türkiye through the “4001-A National Competition/Event Participation Support” call, and for participation in competitions and events held abroad through the “4001-B International Competition/Event Participation Support” call.

Milli Teknoloji Hamlesinin ana bileşenlerinden olan beşeri sermaye gelişimine katkı sağlamak hedefiyle, öğrenimini sürdüren lise öğrencileri ile lise üzeri eğitim düzeyine sahip öğrenci ve yeni mezunların proje üretmelerini, geri bildirimler yoluyla projelerini geliştirmelerini, geliştirdikleri projelere yönelik düzenlenen yurt içi ve yurt dışı bilimsel ve/veya teknolojik yarışma ve ilgili etkinliklere katılmalarını teşvik etmek amacıyla açılan programımızın 3. dönem çağrıları açılmıştır.  

Ulaşım sponsoru Türk Hava Yolları olan program kapsamında, “4001-A Ulusal Yarışma/Etkinlik Katılım Desteği” çağrısı ile yurt içinde düzenlenen yarışma ve etkinliklere, “4001-B Uluslararası Yarışma/Etkinlik Katılım Desteği” çağrısı ile de yurt dışında düzenlenen yarışma ve etkinliklere katılım için destek verilecektir.

Presentations will be organized into thematic sessions, and the schedule will be shared a week prior to the event.

The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) provides various scholarship and support programmes for scientists working in the field of life sciences. These programmes, which are financed by the European Molecular Biology Conference (EMBC) Member States and EMBO / EMBC global partners, provide grant, accommodation and networking support to the researchers.

Postdoctoral Fellowships provide international mobility and research opportunities in different countries for postdoctoral researchers working in the field of life sciences in EMBC member or EMBO / EMBC global partners.

Eligibility

Applicants satisfying the following criteria are eligible to apply.

• Applicants must hold a doctorate degree or equivalent or they must pledge to hold it at the start of the fellowship.

• Applicants who already hold a PhD at the time of application are eligible to apply only if they obtained it during the two years prior to the date the application is submitted.

• Applicants must have at least one first author research paper accepted in or published in an international peer reviewed journal at the time of application.

• All applications must involve movement between countries.

• Applications to go to the country in which the PhD was obtained will not be considered.

• Candidates who have already started working in the host laboratory can apply only if they have been working in the host laboratory for less than six months at the time the application is submitted.

Benefits

• Postdoctoral Fellowships are awarded for a period of one to two years.

• EMBO provides grants to the host institution to cover the cost of an employment for the awardee. The contract rates depend on the country being visited.

• Fellows eligible for the travel and relocation support will receive this as a lump sum before the start date of their fellowship.

• Fellows are invited to join the EMBO Fellows’ Network.

• Postdoctoral Fellows are offered to attend EMBO Laboratory Leadership Course for postdocs free of charge during or at the end of their fellowship.

TÜBİTAK tarafından Türkiye’deki yürütücülüğü yapılan Avrupa Moleküler Biyoloji Organizasyonu (European Molecular Biology Organisation – EMBO), yaşam bilimleri alanında çalışan bilim insanlarına yönelik çeşitli burs ve destek programları yürütmektedir. Türkiye’nin de üyesi olduğu Avrupa Moleküler Biyoloji Konferansı (European Molecular Biology Conference - EMBC) üye, asosiye ve işbirlikçi ülkeleri tarafından finanse edilen bu programlar araştırmacılara hibe, dolaşım ve bilimsel ağ oluşturma desteği sağlamaktadır.

Bu desteklerden biri olan Doktora Sonrası Araştırma Bursları (Postdoctoral Fellowships) ile EMBO, EMBC üye veya işbirliği ortağı olan ülkelerde yaşam bilimleri alanında çalışan doktora sonrası araştırmacılara uluslararası hareketlilik sağlamakta ve farklı ülkelerde araştırma yapma olanağı sunmaktadır.

 Kimler Başvurabilir?

Programa aşağıdaki kriterleri sağlayan araştırmacılar başvuru yapabilir.

• Doktora derecesine veya eşdeğer bir diplomaya sahip olmak ya da burs başlangıcında sahip olacağını taahhüt etmek;

• Başvuru sırasında doktora derecesine sahiplerse, doktora derecesini başvuru tarihinden en fazla iki yıl önce almış olmak;

• Başvuru sırasında en az bir tane uluslararası hakemli bir dergide ilk isim olarak araştırma makalesi yayınlamış olmak veya makalesi yayınlanmak üzere kabul edilmiş olmak;

• Doktora derecesinin alındığı ülkeden farklı bir ülkede doktora sonrası araştırma yapmak amacıyla başvuru yapmak;

• Geçmişte altı aydan fazla süreyle çalışılan bir laboratuvara geri dönme amacıyla başvuru yapmamak;

• Hâlihazırda farklı bir ülkedeki laboratuvarda çalışmaya başlamış olan ve çalıştıkları laboratuvar için burs desteğine başvuru yapan araştırmacılar için ev sahibi laboratuvarda başvuru tarihinde en fazla altı aydır çalışıyor olmak.

Destek Kapsamı

• Destek süresi en az bir yıl en fazla iki yıldır.

• EMBO tarafından bursiyere ödenmek üzere ülkelere göre değişen tutarlarda fon ev sahibi kuruluşa aktarılır.

• Seyahat ve yer değiştirme desteği almaya hak kazanan bursiyerlere bu destek tek seferlik olmak üzere burs başlangıcında ödenir.

• Bursiyere EMBO bursiyer ağına erişim olanakları sağlanır.

• Bursiyerin EMBO Laboratuvar Liderliği Kursuna (Laboratory Leadership Course) ücretsiz olarak katılımı desteklenir.
