When and how can I apply?
To be able to submit the online application form to TÜBİTAK, the candidate must first create a profile on the platform in the TÜBİTAK Researcher Information System (ARBIS) that is available at https://arbis.tubitak.gov.tr The information of the researchers in the Researcher Information System (ARBIS) to apply for the programme and the academic advisor(s) in Türkiye must be up-to-date before applying online.
Applications are submitted online via the TÜBİTAK online application system through TYBS within the dates indicated in the call announcement.
What is the application deadline?
Please see “application dates” module on the programme website. The time limit for the deadlines is 17:30, Istanbul Time, unless otherwise stated.
Are master students eligible for this program?
No, they are not eligible.
Are Turkish citizens with dual citizenship eligible for this program?
No, they are not eligible.
What should I do when I encounter a problem in the ARBIS system during the application?
You should send an e-mail to arbis@tubitak.gov.trad by adding the screenshot of the page you are having trouble with.
Can I apply by submitting the required documents without an online application?
No. The applications for the program can be made only online during the determined application process. Documents sent by post during the application period are not accepted.
Who is the highest official of a university or research institution in Türkiye from which the invitation letter can be obtained?
In the case of public and foundation universities, the rector or the authorized vice-chancellor; the director of the public research centers in Türkiye.

Araştırmalarının bir bölümünü Türkiye’de yapacak, doktorasını almış veya yurt dışında doktora programına kayıtlı yabancı ülke vatandaşı araştırmacılara Türkiye’deki üniversitelerde veya araştırma kurumlarında yapacakları araştırmalar için destek verilmektedir.
Tüm adayların http://e-bideb.tubitak.gov.tr adresinden başvurusuna elektronik olarak başlamadan önce https://arbis.tubitak.gov.tr/home.jsf adresine kayıt olmaları gerekmektedir.
2024 yılı başvuru tarihleri yapılacak düzenleme sonrası ilan edilecektir.
The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) grants fellowships for international highly qualified PhD students and young post-doctoral researchers to pursue their research in Türkiye.

Destek Kapsamı
Bu programın amacı; araştırmalarını Türkiye’de yapacak, doktorasını almış veya yurt dışında bir doktora programına kayıtlı yabancı ülke vatandaşı genç araştırmacılara mali destek sağlayarak ülkemizin bilim ve teknoloji alanında uluslararası işbirliğinin geliştirilmesidir.
Destek Kapsamı
Bu program kapsamında araştırmacılara burs, Türkiye'ye geliş-gidiş yol masrafı ve sağlık sigortası desteği sağlanır.
Burs Miktarı ve Ödeme Koşulları
Aylık burs miktarı doktora öğrencileri için 32.500 TL; doktora sonrası genç araştırmacılar için 43.500 TL'dir.
Seyahat giderleri (Burs başlangıcında Türkiye'ye ulaşım ve burs bitiminde dönüş biletleri)
Sağlık sigortası (aylık 560 TL üzerinden hesaplanarak).*
Destek süresi en fazla 36 aydır.
*GYK’nın gerekli gördüğü durumlarda seyahat ve özel sağlık sigortası giderleri kısmî olarak karşılanabilir.
Scope of the Support
The scope of the program includes monthly stipend, travel expenses and private health insurance cost.
The Amount and Duration of the Support
A monthly stipend of 32.500 Turkish Liras for doctoral students and 43.500 Turkish Liras for youngpost-doctoral researchers
Travel costs (Tickets to reach Türkiye at the beginning of the fellowship and the return journey on completion of the fellowship)
Health insurance premiums (up to 560 TL per month).*
Maximum duration of the support is 36 months.
*In case of the decision of GYK, travel costs and health insurance for the fellow may be partially covered.
