2204-C High School Students Polar Research Projects Competition, organized under the technical leadership of TÜBİTAK BİDEB (Directorate for Scientist Support Programs) and the overall coordination of the Directorate for Science and Society, aims to encourage high school students to conduct studies on polar sciences in the Antarctic and Arctic regions and to guide students toward research in the field of polar sciences. Through the qualified studies they carry out in this field, the competition seeks to contribute to Türkiye’s goal of becoming one of the leading countries in international scientific circles in the future. In 2026, the competition is organized in the following four main fields:
Life Sciences
Physical Sciences
Social Sciences and Humanities
Earth Sciences
In the competition, which is open to high school students studying in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, teams that are successful in the preliminary evaluation stage will qualify to participate in the final evaluations to be held online.
Evaluation results are available on the Project Management System (PYS).
