Türkiye–Spain Bilateral Call was launched on 21 October 2026 to enhance cooperation between Türkiye and Spain and support joint R&D projects involving companies from both countries under the EUREKA Programme.
The call is open to R&D projects in all thematic and application areas. However, the following areas are particularly encouraged:
- Smart manufacturing and industrial digitalisation
- Energy and smart infrastructure
- Smart mobility, drones and logistics
- Agri-food
In line with the objectives of the EUREKA Programme, projects aimed at developing market-oriented products, processes and services with high commercialisation potential will be supported under the 1509 – TÜBİTAK International Industrial R&D Projects Programme.
A company established in Türkiye as a capital company may submit a joint project application directly in collaboration with at least one company from Spain. Universities and research institutes are not eligible to apply directly but may participate in projects as service providers.
The call is open to all thematic areas; the areas listed above are indicative and do not restrict the scope of eligible applications.
Application:
Applications will be carried out in two stages: international and national.
Stage 1: All partners must complete the EUREKA project application form available on the call webpage and submit it online. Each application will be evaluated by the national EUREKA offices of the countries involved in the project.
Stage 2: Turkish participants must first submit their preliminary applications under the TÜBİTAK 1509 – International Industrial R&D Projects Support Programme within the period to be announced by TÜBİTAK via email.
Following the preliminary application, projects deemed eligible during the eligibility check will be required to submit their national applications in Türkiye under the TÜBİTAK 1509 – International Industrial R&D Projects Support Programme.
The dates for the preliminary and national application stages will be announced by TÜBİTAK via email. Preliminary and national applications must be submitted online through the website.

International Call Closing Date: 3 March 2027
Project applications to the Eureka Network Türkiye–Spain Call will be processed in accordance with the rules of the TÜBİTAK 1509 – International Industrial R&D Projects Support Programme.
Companies established in Türkiye as capital companies are eligible to apply to the call. Applications that do not comply with these requirements may be returned without being evaluated.
