Avrupa Beyin Sağlığı Ortaklığı (EP BrainHealth), 33 ülkeden 54 ortağı bir araya getirerek; yaşam boyu beyin sağlığının desteklenmesi için bilimsel bilginin geliştirilmesini temel alan, beyin hastalıklarının önlenmesi ve tedavi edilmesi ile Avrupa’da ve ötesinde nörolojik ve ruhsal bozukluklarla yaşayan bireylerin yaşam kalitesinin artırılmasını amaçlayan ortak bir hedef doğrultusunda faaliyet göstermektedir.
Çağrının Konu Başlıkları:
BrainHealth 2026 yılı çağrısının amacı, önemli translasyonel soruları ele alan, çok uluslu, iş birliğine dayalı ve disiplinler arası araştırmaları desteklemektir. “Yaşam Boyu Beyin Sağlığının Seyrini Etkileyen Biyolojik, Sosyal ve Çevresel Faktörler” başlığı altında “nörolojik, zihinsel ve duyusal bozukluklar” (Çağrı 1) ve “nörodejenerasyon” (Çağrı 2) tematik alanları ile iki alt çağrıya çıkılmıştır.
Başvurular “nörolojik, zihinsel ve duyusal bozukluklar” (Çağrı 1) veya “nörodejenerasyon” (Çağrı 2) alanında beyin sağlığı gidişatını etkileyen üç faktörden en az ikisini ele almalıdır:
Biyolojik faktörler: örneğin genetik, epigenetik, omik teknolojiler, nöroplastisite, inflamasyon, enfeksiyon, sinaptogenez, biyolojik devreler, vasküler faktörler, duyusal bozukluk, eşlik eden hastalıklar.
Yaşam tarzı ve sosyal faktörler: örneğin egzersiz/aktivite, beslenme, uyku, sigara, alkol ve uyuşturucu kullanımı, iş (gelir, istihdam), sosyoekonomik geçmiş/durum, ırk/etnik köken, cinsiyet ve toplumsal cinsiyet, eğitim, güvenlik, sosyal etkileşimler (aile/arkadaşlar), sağlık hizmetlerine erişim, stres, travma, göç.
Çevresel faktörler: örneğin kirlilik/kirleticiler, kentsellik, afetler, pandemiler, savaşlar/çatışmalar, iklim değişikliği, mikrobiyota.
Ayrıca, başvurularda aşağıdaki hususlardan en az ikisinin araştırılması gerekmektedir:
Belirlenen faktörlerin etki mekanizmaları,
Belirlenen faktörlerle bağlantılı erken tanı, teşhis ve prognoz;,
Belirlenen faktörlerle bağlantılı önleme/tedaviler/müdahaleler/teknoloji geliştirme/bakım ve destek.

Ulusal proje başvuruları, Proje Başvuru Sistemi (PBS) üzerinden yalnızca elektronik imza (e-imza) kullanılarak yapılabilmektedir.
Başvuru öncesinde ulusal başvuru kurallarının detaylı bir şekilde incelenmesi gerekmektedir. Başvuru kurallarına uyulmaması durumunda başvurunun değerlendirmeye alınmadan iade edilmesi söz konusudur.
Çağrı ile ilgili 30 Ocak 2026 tarihi saat 10.00’da çevrimiçi bilgilendirme toplantısı yapılacaktır. İlgili link üzerinden 23 Ocak 2026 tarihine kadar kayıt yapılması gerekmektedir.

İkinci aşama uluslararası bilimsel değerlendirme sürecinde başarılı bulunan projelerde yer alan araştırmacılarımız için TÜBİTAK son başvuru tarihi duyurulacaktır.
Çağrıya Sunulacak Projelerin Sağlaması Gereken Kriterler:
Proje önerileri maksimum üç yıl desteklenebilir.
Her bir proje konsorsiyumunun, çağrıya katılan en az üç (en az ikisi AB Üye Devletleri veya İlişkili Ülkeleri’nden olmalı), en fazla altı farklı ülkeden ortak içerecek şekilde oluşturulması gerekmektedir.
Uluslararası dengenin sağlanması amacıyla aynı ülkeden ikiden fazla ortak bir konsorsiyumda yer alamamaktadır.
BrainHealth mümkün olduğunca çok sayıda partner ülkenin fonlanmasını sağlayarak küresel bir Beyin Araştırmaları Ekosistemini güçlendirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Bu nedenle, yeterince temsil edilmeyen ülkelerden (Hırvatistan, Malta, Moldova, Slovakya, Slovenya, Türkiye) en az bir araştırma ortağı içeren konsorsiyumlar, toplam ortak sayısını yediye çıkarabilmektedir.
Önemli Bilgi:
Söz konusu çağrı kapsamında ülkemizden sunulacak proje önerileri, TÜBİTAK 1071 Uluslararası Araştırma Fonlarından Yararlanma Kapasitesinin ve Uluslararası Ar-Ge İşbirliklerine Katılımın Artırılmasına Yönelik Destek Programı kapsamında desteklenecektir.
Türkiye’den ortakların yer alacağı projeler için hem çağrı sekretaryasına hem de TÜBİTAK’a başvuru yapılması zorunludur.

The European Partnership for Brain Health (EP BrainHealth) gathers 54 partners from 33 countries, with the common goal of improving brain health for all by developing scientific knowledge as a foundation to promote brain health throughout the lifetime, to prevent and to cure brain diseases as well as to improve wellbeing of people living with neurological and mental disorders in Europe and beyond.
Call Topics:
The aim of the BrainHealth 2026 call is to support multinational, collaborative, and interdisciplinary research that addresses key translational questions. Within the scope of the call “Biological, Social And Environmental Factors That İmpact The Trajectory Of Brain Health Across The Lifespan” two sub-calls under the thematic areas of “neurological, mental and sensory disorders” (Call 1) and “neurodegeneration” (Call 2) has been launched.
Applications must address at least two of the three factors influencing brain health trajectories in the fields of “neurological, mental and sensory disorders” (Call 1) or “neurodegeneration” (Call 2):
Biological factors, e.g. genetics, epigenetics, -omics, neuroplasticity, inflammation, infection, synaptogenesis, circuits, vascular factors, sensory impairment, co-morbidities;
Lifestyle and social factors, e.g. exercise/activity, nutrition, sleep, smoking, alcohol and drug abuse, work (income, employment), socio-economic background/status, race/ethnicity, sex and gender, education, safety, social interactions (family/friends), access to healthcare, stress, trauma, migration.
Environmental factors, e.g. pollution/contaminants, urbanicity, disasters, pandemics, war/conflicts, climate change, microbiota, nature.
In addition, applications must investigate at least two of the following aspects:
Mechanisms of action of the identified factors;
Early recognition, diagnosis and prognosis linked to the identified factors;
Prevention/treatments/interventions/technological development/care and support linked to the identified factors.

TÜBİTAK application deadline for full proposals will be announced for our researchers who are successful in the second stage international scientific evaluation process.
Submission Criteria for Projects:
Joint transnational research proposals can be funded for a period of up to three years.
Each proposal must involve a minimum of three and a maximum of six regular partners, including the coordinator, from at least three different countries participating in this call (including at least two EU Member States or Associated Countries).
For reasons of transnational balance, no more than two regular partners from the same country are allowed to join a proposal.
BrainHealth aims to strengthen a global Brain Research Ecosystem by enabling the funding of as many partner countries as possible. Fort his reason, consortia including at least one research partner from countries that are to date underrepresented in this funding scheme (Croatia, Malta, Moldova, Slovakia, Slovenia, Türkiye) may increase the total number of partners to seven. Joint transnational research proposals can be funded for a period of up to three years.
Important information:
Project proposals to be submitted from our country will be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1071 Program.
For projects involving partners from Türkiye, it is mandatory to apply to both the call secretariat and TÜBİTAK.

The first call of the Eurostars-3 for the year 2026 (cut-off 10) has been launched on 16 January 2026. Within this call, joint international R&D projects aimed at developing market-oriented innovative products, processes and services will be funded with the participation of at least one Turkish and one foreign organization from any Eurostars member country. Unilateral project applications are not accepted. An innovative SME is expected to take part in the project consortiums as the coordinator.
Eurostars-3 is a partnership created under the Horizon Europe/ European Innovation Ecosystems Program as the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs with the cooperation of the Eureka Secretariat and 37 member countries. Within the scope of the program to be carried out between 2021-2027, it is aimed to support innovative SMEs to increase their R&D, innovation capacity and productivity, and to help them reach into global value chains and new markets.
In Eurostars-3 calls, bottom-up, international R&D projects with a civilian purpose, are funded led by innovative SMEs, regardless of any technology field or sector. Please visit Eurostars website for details, guidelines and submission.
Stock corporations and researchers based in Türkiye can submit joint proposals to Eurostars-3 2026/1 call. If there is more than one partner from Türkiye in the same international project, the partners are required to apply with a single joint project together. Higher education institutions, public research centers and institutes, training and research hospitals, research infrastructures within the scope of Law No. 6550 can participate jointly under the leadership of stock corporations. Eligible national consortiums will be funded according to the rules of the national funding programme coded “1709-EUREKA-EUROSTARS 2026/1” and "Eurostars-3 Program National Call Announcement".
Before the national application, the call text should be carefully examined, if the application rules are not followed properly, the application may be returned without being evaluated.
In addition, applications to the Eurostars Coordinatorship Support Programme 2026/1 National Call (code: “EUROSTARS-KOORD-DEST-2026/1”) will be submitted under the “Eurostars Coordinatorship Support Programme 2026/1 National Call” scheme. Please visit TÜBİTAK website for details.
Applications:
National pre-registration and national pre-submission must be done to TÜBİTAK on the specified dates via TÜBİTAK PRODIS. In addition, after the international evaluation process, the accepted Turkish teams have to make a national application to TÜBİTAK.

Important Points:
The Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus, Greece, Israel and one of the NFBs in Italy (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT)) do not foresee public funding for organisations from their country applying to the 10th call of Eurostars-3. Organizations from these countries are welcome to apply but will have to fully self-finance their part of the project.
Note: There is funding available for Italian organizations through the NFB MUR.
