Representing Türkiye at the 15th European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad, our national team has returned home with remarkable achievements, bringing great pride to our country.
Held in Bordeaux, France, 9-15 April 2026, the 15th European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) brought together 260 students from 67 countries. This prestigious international competition aims to support and encourage talented young women in the field of mathematics. Representing our country, our students won two Gold Medals and two Silver Medals.
Under the 2202 Science Olympiads Program carried out by TÜBİTAK, our young female scientists, who were trained to represent our country at the international level, achieved the following outstanding results; Defne Hergül and Bengisu Demirbaş: gold medal, Ilgın Şekerli and Elif Kiraz: silver medals.
We wholeheartedly congratulate our students who represented our country at the 15th European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad and demonstrated their exceptional talent as future scientists. We extend our sincere thanks to all participating students, their families, teachers, and especially to our committee chairs and all academicians who contributed to their training.
