Representing Türkiye at the 22nd International Geography Olympiad (iGeo), our national team achieved an outstanding result, winning four silver medals and bringing great pride to our country.
Held in Istanbul, the 22nd International Geography Olympiad brought together 184 students from 50 countries. The Turkish national team successfully completed the competition with four silver medals.
As part of the TÜBİTAK 2202 Science Olympiads Program, which supports the preparation of talented young students for international Olympiads, Emir Kerem Kılıç, Mehmet Efe Benderlioğlu, Ege Çetin, and İhsan Kubilay Akyel each won a silver medal at the 22nd International Geography Olympiad.
This achievement demonstrated once again the strong performance of Turkish students in geography and their ability to successfully represent our country on the international stage.
We congratulate our young aspiring scientists who proudly represented Türkiye at the 22nd International Geography Olympiad and thank all participating students, their families and teachers, as well as all academics involved in the training and preparation process, particularly our Committee Chairs, for their valuable contributions.
