Initiated with the aim of enhancing Turkey's collaborative potential in the field of R&D, the 1707 Order-based R&D Programme embraces the goal of transforming solutions designed to meet the needs of Customer Organizations into commercially viable outputs through R&D activities conducted by SMEs. TÜBİTAK and the Customer Organization facilitate SMEs' need-oriented R&D activities through co-financing during this crucial process.
SMEs carry out innovative product and process development tailored to the customer's requirements. The program fosters the sharing of financial risks and agreements on intellectual property rights among industrial organizations. It also provides an opportunity for organizations with relatively more experience in project management to transfer their knowledge to SMEs.
Unlike the continuous application process in 2023, the Order-based R&D calls, starting in 2024, will be conducted as scheduled application calls. Three different call periods have been defined for the year 2024:

Calls to be opened in the 1st Call Period include:
- SME Support Call for 1707 Order-based R&D Projects 2024-1 (1707 Order R&D 2024-1)
- SME Support Call for 1707 BIGG Partnership Order-based R&D Projects 2024-1 (1707 Order R&D-b 2024-1)
Project applications will be accepted through the R&D Project Evaluation Monitoring System (PRODİS) from January 19, 2024, to March 04, 2024 (until 23:59).
During the evaluation stage, priority will be given to projects presented in the field of R&D and innovation under the scope of the Green Agreement within the calls opened during the 1st Call Period of the 1707 Order R&D 2024.
