Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1071 Program and under the cooperation protocol between TÜBİTAK and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), joint research projects to be carried out between the scientists of the two countries will be supported.
Scientists in Türkiye who wish to propose a joint research project must agree with the scientists working in Japan as project partners. Unilateral project applications will not be accepted.
Within the scope of the call, which will remain open until 23:59 (UTC+3) on 5 September 2024, project applications to TÜBİTAK must be made through the electronic application system (http://uidb-pbs.tubitak.gov.tr/).

Needs Analysis Process
The Customer Institution prepares its R&D qualified needs in accordance with the format determined by TÜBİTAK and sends it to TÜBİTAK. The subjects to be called for projects are determined among the mentioned R&D qualified needs.
Focus Group process
Focus Group work is carried out with the participation of customer institution representatives, subject matter experts and TÜBİTAK experts in order to prepare the call document regarding the identified need areas.
Call Process
Announcement and call document regarding the calls are published on the TÜBİTAK website. In cases where the publication of the project call is inconvenient in terms of security, the call announcement is not made on the official website of TÜBİTAK, and a call invitation is sent to the relevant organization(s).
Application Process
Project applications are received in two stages. However, when deemed necessary, directly II. Phase project proposals may be requested.
For KAMAG, applications are submitted electronically. Only pages that require signature are requested in print.
For SAVTAG, the Project Proposal Forms prepared by Program Manager Organization (PYÖK)/ Project Executive Organization (PYK) in the format determined in line with the Call Document and in accordance with the 1007 Program purpose are hand-delivered.
Evaluation process
Project proposals; It is evaluated by the relevant Group within the framework of the project evaluation criteria determined by TÜBİTAK.
In the project evaluation process, on-site inspections can be carried out at these institutions and organizations in order to evaluate the R&D capabilities of private institutions and public R&D units/centers (including centers at universities).
First Stage Evaluation is done by the Commission composed of subject experts. Commission evaluation of phase I project proposals; (1) Compliance with the call, (2) R&D Quality, (3) Feasibility.
The Second Stage Evaluation is done by the Panel of subject matter experts. II. technical panel evaluation of phase project proposals; It is based on four criteria: (1) R&D Quality, (2) Method, (3) Feasibility, and (4) Budgetary Appropriateness. In addition, a detailed budget evaluation is made in line with the budgetary justifications presented in the project proposal.
Monitoring Process
Scientific, technical, administrative and financial monitoring and supervision activities of the projects are carried out by customer institution representatives, subject experts determined by TÜBİTAK and TÜBİTAK experts, when necessary, in line with the Progress Reports determined according to the project intermediate outputs, work packages and project stages. In addition, monthly progress reports and monitoring are made for KAMAG projects, the details of the monitoring issues in SAVTAG projects are specified in the call documents.

TWAS will cover one air ticket to reach Türkiye at the beginning of the fellowship and the return journey on completion of the fellowship, and visa related expenses incurred at the start of the programme.
Candidates must organize their own comprehensive medical insurance for the period of their stay to meet any untoward incidents and major ailments before travelling to Türkiye.
There is no retroactive payment to the fellows who choose to arrive to Türkiye by their own means before the date on the acceptance letter.

TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, who chairs the Governing Council of the United Nations Technology Bank (UNTB) for LDCs, met with Ms. Rabab Fatima, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries, and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS), at the TÜBİTAK Gebze campus prior to the 2024 Mid-Term Council Meeting of the UNTB.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the Director of the UN Technology Bank, Deodat Maharaj, H.E. Fatima expressed her gratitude to our country for its financial and administrative contributions to the Technology Bank. The meeting also included discussions on the progress of joint projects currently being conducted by the UNTB and TÜBİTAK, as well as the necessary actions to secure new resources.
At the Technology Bank Governing Council Meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, the activities of the UNTB for the first half of 2024 were reviewed, and preparations and work related to the UNTB's 2025-2027 Strategic Plan were discussed.
On July 26, 2024, LDC representatives who were in Türkiye for the “Annual Meeting of National Focal Points of LDCs,” organized by the UNTB and UN-OHRLLS, visited the TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus.
The meeting addressed activities that could be conducted in line with the needs of LDCs for sustainable development. Information about the scientific and technological activities carried out by our centers and institutes was shared with the participants.
TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal gave a presentation where he shared his proposals for solutions to global challenges. In the presentation, Mandal emphasized that LDCs, like the rest of the world, need Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) efforts to solve global issues. He highlighted that our institution is open to supporting LDCs through technologies and work developed by our institution. Prof. Mandal expressed a positive outlook on cooperation and technology transfer with LDCs, emphasizing the importance of co-development and achieving success together for global technological development.
After the presentations, visits were made to the laboratories at TÜBİTAK Institutes and Centers that align with the interests of the LDCs. TÜBİTAK researchers provided the LDC representatives with information about the technologies developed and R&D activities conducted by TÜBİTAK.

4.1. Ön İnceleme
Ön inceleme aşamasında programın başvuru koşulları doğrultusunda başvuru belgeleri kontrol edilmektedir. Başvuru koşullarından herhangi birini sağlamayan, belgeleri tam olmayan, faks ve/veya elektronik posta ile yapılan başvurular bilimsel değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmadan iade edilir.
4.2. Bilimsel değerlendirme
Bilimsel değerlendirme, konusunda uzman panelist veya dış danışmanlar tarafından, aşağıdaki kriterler esas alınarak yapılmaktadır.

Toplantının Katılımcıya Katkısı
Değerlendirme yalnızca sisteme yüklenen belgeler üzerinden yapılmaktadır. Bu nedenle her bir koşul, açık ve belirlenen içerikte olacak şekilde başvuru formları aracılığıyla sisteme yüklenmelidir.
Değerlendirme sonuçları GYK tarafından görüşülerek Başkanlığa sunulur. Anlaşmalı kurum/kuruluşa önerilecek başvurular* ve destek miktarları Başkanlık onayı ile kesinleşir.
*Lindau Konseyi ve Vakfı ile TÜBİTAK arasında imzalanan protokol çerçevesinde Türkiye’den yapılan başvurular içerisinden belirlenen kontenjan sayısınca aday TÜBİTAK tarafından Lindau Konseyi ve Vakfı'na önerilir. Lindau Konseyi ve Vakfı tarafından yapılan ikinci aşama değerlendirmesi sonrasında desteğe hak kazanacak adaylar belirlenir.
Program kapsamında desteklenen araştırmacılara verilecek destek miktarı net 3000 USD’dir.
Destek süresi en az 12 ay, en fazla 24 ay olmak koşulu ile TÜBİTAK tarafından tahsis edildiği bildirilen süre kadardır. Destek süresinin sonunda en fazla 24 ay daha burssuz olarak Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar’ın laboratuvarında doktora sonrası araştırmacı olarak çalışılabilir.
Burs ödemeleri aylık veya üçer aylık dönemlerde bursiyere ait yurt içinde veya yurt dışındaki bir banka hesabına yapılır.
Uçak bileti desteği aşağıdaki alternatifler dahilinde talep edilmesi halinde TÜBİTAK tarafından sağlanacaktır;

17. ORTAOKUL ÖĞRENCİLERİ ARAŞTIRMA PROJELERİ YARIŞMASI
BÖLGE AŞAMASI PROJE DEĞERLENDİRME SONUÇLARI
Kurumumuz tarafından düzenlenen 17. Ortaokul Öğrencileri Araştırma Projeleri Yarışmasına 12.053 kız ve 9.078 erkek öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 21.131 öğrencinin hazırladığı 14.883 proje başvurusu alınmıştır.
Başvuruların ön değerlendirmeleri; Adana, Ankara, Bursa, Erzurum, İstanbul Asya, İstanbul Avrupa, İzmir, Kayseri, Konya, Malatya, Samsun ve Van olmak üzere 12 bölge merkezinde yapılmıştır. Ön değerlendirmeyi geçen 1.440 projenin sahibi öğrenciler, 22-23 Mayıs 2023 tarihleri arasında bahse konu 12 bölgede eş zamanlı olarak çevrim içi sunumlar ile değerlendirilmiştir.
Derece alan proje sahibi öğrenci/öğrencilere ve danışmanlarına yapılacak ödül ödemeleri banka hesaplarına gönderilecektir. Bu kapsamda, kişilerin kendi adlarına açılmış bir banka hesabına ait IBAN bilgilerini en geç 31 Mayıs 2023 günü mesai bitimine kadar ARBİS hesaplarına giriş yaparak kaydetmeleri gerekmektedir.
Öğrencilerin ailelerine veya başkasına ait IBAN bilgisi verilmesi durumunda ödeme işlemi yapılamayacaktır. 18 yaşın altında bulunan öğrenciler, velileri ile birlikte bankaya başvurarak kendi adlarına hesap açtırabilir.
IBAN bilgileri, https://arbis.tubitak.gov.tr adresinden sisteme girilerek “Kişisel Bilgiler” başlığı altında bulunan “Banka Hesap ve Ödeme Bilgileri” ekranına kaydedilmelidir. Bu ekranda, “Hesap Adına” TL yazabilir, “Hesap Türünü” ise Kişisel olacak şekilde seçim yapabilirsiniz. Bu sayfada sadece tek bir IBAN kaydı olmalı ve bu kayıt “Varsayılan Yap” olarak seçilmelidir.
Bölge aşama sonucunda Birincilik ödülü alarak yarışmanın final aşamasına katılmaya hak kazanan finalistlere, final yarışması hakkında bilgilendirme en kısa sürede bu sayfa üzerinden ve e-posta yoluyla öğrenciler ile danışmanlarına yapılacaktır.
TÜBİTAK ve Ürdün Ulusal Araştırma Geliştirme Merkezi (NCRD) tarafından açılan 2024 yılı çağrısı kapsamında 3 ortak uluslararası projenin desteklenmesine karar verildi.
2572 – Ürdün Ulusal Araştırma Geliştirme Merkezi (NCRD) ile İkili İşbirliği Programı 2024 yılı çağrısı değerlendirme süreci sonuçlandı. TÜBİTAK ve NCRD tarafından desteklenmesine karar verilen toplam 3 projeye ilişkin bilgiler aşağıda paylaşılmaktadır.
