1501 TUBITAK Industrial R&D Projects Grant Program will be carried out with budget-based calls to be opened twice a year, starting from January 2020, in order to ensure more efficient use of public resources for country needs and national targets.

1501 TUBITAK Industrial R&D Projects Grant Program Implementation Principles were changed at the TÜBİTAK Board of Directors meeting held on March 14, 2019, and it was stipulated that only organizations of SME scale can apply to the program.

The program aims to support project-based research-technology development and innovation activities of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).

The determination of the projects to be supported will also take into account the outcomes and impacts of the applicant companies (if any) within the scope of their previously supported projects, attempts to benefit from alternative non-public funding sources (especially applications to the European Union Framework Programs) and the priority of the project subject.

Maksimum Project duration is 36 months.

There is no budget limit.

The call titled “Impact Analysis of Social and Economic Support Services and Strengthening the Service Model” is now open. The call, in which the Republic Of Türkiye, Ministry of Family And Social Services is the client institution, aims to increase the effectiveness of the “Social and Economic Support” service for children and families and improve the quality of the service in line with the goals of ensuring that children are raised in a family environment, protected from all kinds of risks, and expand family-oriented care services within the scope of the TÜBİTAK Public Institutions Research and Development Projects Support Programme (1007 Programme).

Since 2007, TÜBİTAK Science and Society Directorate have been supporting projects that aim to carry out scientific activities for different segments of society, from preschool children to undergraduate students and teachers.

The 2025 call for 4004 Education in Nature and Science Camps/Schools Support Program for Science and Society Support Programs, which aim to promote the development of science culture and communication within society, has been published.

Several significant updates and improvements have been made for the 2025 call period. The key changes include: 

  • Updates have been made to the scope of the 4004 Program.

  • The thematic call areas in the 4004 Program have been revised in line with the 12th Development Plan and the 2030 Industry and Technology Strategy, taking into account critical technology areas and priority R&D and innovation topics.

  • The maximum support limit, PTI amount, and project team fees have been increased.

  • The percentage allocated for the machinery and equipment expenses has been updated.

The Water4All Partnership’s 2024 Joint Multinational Call, focused on the topic of "Water for Circular Economy," has been open for applications as of September 12, 2024. This joint call aims to fund Research, Development, and Innovation projects with a budget of approximately 33 million euros, supported by 31 countries (36 funding organizations) and the European Commission. Research and innovation proposals submitted under the 2024 Water4All Joint Call must address at least one of the following topics:

Topic 3: Resource recovery and valorization
Topic 4: Economic, environmental, and social implications of water reuse and recovered products

Travel Support aims to give support for travels for creating consortiums for worldwide research and development (R&D) and innovation projects under the Eureka programme. Travel support is available for Eureka tools (Eureka Network Projects, Eurostars, Eureka Clusters, Globalstars, etc.). TÜBİTAK will announce supported events on their website. Travel support would be provided under the “Implementation Principles for Travel and Coordination Support for the Formation of Project Consortia under the TÜBİTAK Eureka Programme.”

* Kişinin çalıştığı kurum/bulunduğu yer/ikametgahı ile katılacağı etkinliğin yapıldığı il arasındaki geliş-gidiş toplam mesafe için en fazla 8000 gösterge olmak üzere, kilometre başına en fazla "5" gösterge, ödeme tutarının hesaplanmasında kullanılacaktır.

2026 yılı yol ücreti olarak; 1600 kilometreyi aşmamak üzere (üst limit 11.102,97 TL), her kilometre için brüt 6,94 TL, il içinden katılanlara ise brüt 485,75 TL ödeme yapılmaktadır. 
2025 yılı yol ücreti olarak; 1600 kilometreyi aşmamak üzere (üst limit 8.100,45 TL), her kilometre için brüt 5,06 TL, il içinden katılanlara ise brüt 354,39 TL ödeme yapılmaktadır. 
2024 yılı yol ücreti olarak; 1600 kilometreyi aşmamak üzere (üst limit 6.086,97 TL), her kilometre için brüt 3,80 TL, il içinden katılanlara ise brüt 266,30 TL ödeme yapılmaktadır.

Etkinliğin başlamasına 3 aydan daha az bir süre kala ön ödeme talep edilmesi halinde (ön ödeme talebi ile birlikte taahhütnamenin sisteme yüklenmesi gerekir) kararlaştırılan desteğin yürütücü koordinasyon ücreti dışında kalan miktarının en fazla % 80’i etkinlik yürütücüsünün kendi adına açılmış banka hesabına ön ödeme şeklinde aktarılır. Etkinlik yürütücüsü, izleme belgelerini etkinliğin bitiş tarihinden ya da destek sonuç tarihinden itibaren 30 gün içinde BİDEB Başvuru ve İzleme Sistemine (e-bideb.tubitak.gov.tr) yüklemelidir. Kararlaştırılan desteğin geri kalan kısmı için etkinlik yürütücüsü ile mahsuplaşarak hesap kapatılır. Etkinlik gerçekleşmediği takdirde ön ödeme yapılmış ise, TÜBİTAK’a geri ödemenin gecikmesi durumunda ödenmiş olan destek tutarı kanuni faizi ile birlikte geri alınır.

Destek miktarı etkinlik tamamlandıktan sonra izleme belgelerinin sisteme yüklenmesi halinde, Türkiye’deki bankalarda etkinlik yürütücüsü adına açılmış banka hesabına aktarılır.


NOT: Destek verilmesi durumunda harcamalarla ilgili ayrıntılı bilgi başvuru sahiplerine e-posta yoluyla gönderilmektedir. Verilen destek belge karşılığı kullandırılmaktadır. Destek verilen kalemlerde harcama belgelerinin izleme belgeleri ile birlikte sisteme yüklenmesi zorunludur. Belgeler posta yoluyla gönderilmeyecektir.

Cumhurbaşkanlığı himayelerinde, Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı uhdesinde, TÜBİTAK MAM Kutup Araştırmaları Enstitüsü koordinasyonunda gerçekleştirilen 4. Arktik Bilimsel Araştırma Seferi'ne katılan bilim ekibi, Arktik bölgede denizsel alanda 16 projeye yönelik çalışmalar gerçekleştiriyor.

Ekipte, TÜBİTAK, Seyir Hidrografi ve Oşinografi Dairesi Başkanlığı, Meteoroloji Genel Müdürlüğü, Anadolu Ajansı, İstanbul Üniversitesi, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi ile Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesinden katılımcıların yanı sıra ikili iş birlikleri kapsamında Bulgaristan ile Şili'den iki misafir araştırmacı bulunuyor.

4. Ulusal Arktik Bilimsel Araştırma Seferi Lideri Prof. Dr. Ersan Başar, seferde gerçekleştirilen 16 projeden biri olan "2024 Arktik Yazı boyunca Barents Denizi'nin Plankton ve Pigment Kompozisyonunun İncelenmesi" ile Barents Denizi'nde ekosistemin sağlığı ve dinamiklerindeki değişikliklerin ne olduğu sorusunun cevabını arıyor.

Lider Yardımcısı Kaptan Doğaç Baybars Işıler de seferin yürütülmesi ile ilgili lojistik operasyonları hayata geçirirken, "Seyir ve can emniyetinin kutup bölgelerinde nasıl geliştirilebileceği" üzerinde çalışıyor.

Sefer katılımcısı Kıdemli Foto Muhabiri Şebnem Coşkun ise, seferlerde yürütülen bilimsel çalışmalar, küresel iklim değişikliğinin etkileri ve canlı yaşamına dair fotoğraf, video ve haber projeleri ile Türkiye'nin kutup bölgelerine düzenlediği bilimsel seferlerin çıktılarının tüm dünyaya duyurulmasını amaçlıyor.

Seferdeki çalışmalar;

Meteoroloji Genel Müdürlüğü Mühendisi Çetin Biçer de "Arktik bölgede deniz meteorolojisi verilerinin toplanması" projesiyle bu bölgede sertifikalandırılmış algılayıcılar ile WMO standartlarına göre yüksek doğrulukta hava sıcaklık, nem, rüzgar yön ve hız, hava basıncı, deniş suyu sıcaklığı, küresel güneşlenme şiddeti, konum değerlerinin ölçülmesi ve kaydedilmesini hedefliyor.

Seyir, Hidrografi ve Oşinografi Dairesi Başkanlığı (Dz.K.K.) Oşinografi Subayı Mühendis Teğmen Kunter İncili, "Arktik tabakalarının dinamikleri ve Svalbard etrafında termoklin ve haloklin incelemeleri" ile "Buzul erimelerinin Barents Denizi'nde ve Svalbard etrafındaki akıntı sistemine etkisinin ne olacağı" sorusunun cevabını arıyor.

Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesinden Dr. Aslıhan Nasıf Dondurur da Svalbard Bölgesi'nin Sığ Deniz Oşinografisi ile "Svalbard Adaları'nın çevresindeki denizlerde, buzul erimesi sonucu tatlı su girişlerinin varlığı ve bunların okyanus akıntıları ile ilişkisini" araştırıyor.

İstanbul Medipol Üniversitesinden Nursu Aylin Kasa, "İlaç etken maddelerinin ve metabolitlerinin yeni nesil önderiştirme yöntemleri ile birleştirilmiş LC-MS/MS yöntemi kullanılarak Arktik bölgesindeki çevresel örneklerde yüksek doğruluk ve duyarlılıkta tayinleri” ile "Sıklıkla kullanılan ilaç etken maddelerinin ve kalıntılarının Barents Denizi'nde eser seviyelerde saptanması mümkün mü?" sorusu üzerine çalışıyor.

Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesinden Bilge Durgut ise "Arktik Biyoçeşitliliğin Mekansal Değişiminin eDNA Metabarkodlama yöntemi ile Belirlenmesi ve Fizikokimyasal Parametreler ile Değerlendirilmesi" ile "Barents Denizi'nin farklı bölgelerinde biyoçeşitlilik nasıl değişiyor?" sorusunun cevabını arıyor.

İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesinden Gülden Açıl da "Antifouling bileşiklerin sucul ortamdaki tespiti" ile "Barent Denizi'nde bu bileşiklerin tespiti, deniz ekosisteminin sağlığı ve biyoçeşitliliği üzerinde nasıl bir etkide bulunuyor?" sorusu üzerine çalışıyor.

Şili Antarktika Enstitüsünden Maria Jose Narino Vargas, "Phytoplankton in a Changing Ocean" ile "Fitoplankton kompozisyon ve bolluk açısından yapısını değiştirerek Arktik Okyanusu için yeni türler mi sunuyor? Bu yeni türler toksik olarak değerlendirilebilir mi?", sefer katılımcısı Bulgaristan Antarktika Enstitüsü'nden Dr. Petar Sapundjiev da projesi "Değişkenliklerin gözlemlenmesi için teknik çözümlerin geliştirilmesi kutup bölgelerindeki kozmik radyasyon" ile "Kutup bölgelerinin zorlu ortamında, sahada konuşlandırılmış bilimsel ekipmanlarımızın güvenilirliğini ve işlevselliğini nasıl artırabiliriz?” sorularına yanıt arıyor.

Turkish principal investigator (PI) willing to apply to TUBITAK 2501 Joint Research Program needs to find a US research partner either with an ongoing NSF research grant or planning to apply to a new NSF research grant program. One-sided applications will be rejected. For the Turkish side to be funded by TUBITAK, each proposal should be reviewed and found eligible for funding separately by each national institution.

Turkish researchers need to apply to TUBITAK 2501 Joint Research Program while the US researchers need to find a suitable funding program among any of the NSF grants open for application.  Consequently, the NSF grant program and its deadline vary depending on the thematic field and the NSF division conducting the grant program.

Within the scope of the 2025 call of the "2209-A Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students," conducted by the TÜBİTAK Science Fellowships and Grant Programme Directorate (BİDEB), the scientific evaluation process of the submitted applications has been completed. The projects to be supported will be finalised following the completion of the conditional acceptance stage.

Results regarding application status can be viewed via the BİDEB Application and Monitoring System logging in and checking the "Application Status” section.

Evaluation forms for project proposals whose application status appears as "Application Rejected" in the BİDEB Application and Monitoring System will be sent starting from 18 May 2026.

The results of the TÜBİTAK Science Olympiad First Stage Exam, held on 17 May 2025, in 81 provincial centers and the KKTC, with 19,447 students and teachers applying, have been announced.

A total of 18,463 students applied for the exam in 9 disciplines, and based on the evaluations, 509 students have qualified to participate in the summer school and the Second Stage Exam.

Additionally, 984 teachers applied in the 9 disciplines, and 156 teachers have qualified to receive training from the TÜBİTAK Olympiad Academy.

The summer school program and teacher’s training program will be announced on the website at a later date.

We congratulate all students and all teachers who participated in the exam and wish them continued success.

The call titled “Development of New Lines/Varieties and Rootstocks Compatible with Climate Change, Resistant/Tolerant to Abiotic and Biotic Stress Conditions in Vegetable, Maize, and Sunflower Seeds,” in which the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is the client institution, within the scope of the TÜBİTAK Public Institutions Research and Development Projects Support Programme (1007 Programme), with the aim of developing new competitive, qualified lines/varieties and rootstocks that are tolerant/resistant to abiotic and biotic stress conditions caused by global climate change, ensuring the supply of efficient and high-quality products in vegetable, maize, and sunflower seeds, has had its first stage application deadline extended to 22 November 2024.

The deadline for submitting and approving project proposals in the online application system has been set as 22 November 2024, at 23:59 (UTC+3).
