The results of the evaluation are determined by Group Executive Committee and submitted to the Presidency. The applications which will be supported and the amount of the support will be  finalized by the approval of the TÜBİTAK Presidency and TWAS.

The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) provides various scholarship and support programmes for scientists working in the field of life sciences. These programmes, which are financed by the European Molecular Biology Conference (EMBC) Member States and EMBO / EMBC global partners, provide accommodation and networking support to the researchers.

Funding for EMBO Courses and Workshops enables researchers to organize various trainings and workshops in the field of life sciences, for the purpose of improving the exchange of scientific knowledge.

Important Information:

• The courses or workshops to be organized should be in the field of life sciences and should be selected in accordance with the EMBO subject areas.

• Courses or workshops must be held in countries that are EMBC (European Molecular Biology Conference) Member States and EMBO / EMBC global partners.

• Courses or workshops can be organized in face-to-face, hybrid or online conference formats. Additional funding options are offered for conferences that is to be held in hybrid format. The maximum support limit is 42,500 Euros.

• Applications must be made directly to EMBO through the application system.

The new implementing organizations that will serve entrepreneurs by carrying out the activities of the TÜBİTAK 1812 Investment-Based Entrepreneurship Support Program (BiGG Investment) Phase 1 Acceleration Program during the 2026-2028 period have been announced. 

The BiGG Investment Program aims to prepare early-stage, technology and innovation-focused startups to receive investment through qualified support mechanisms, mobilize private sector and public resources, and strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in a sustainable manner. In line with this objective, the newly designated Implementing Organizations will undertake critical tasks such as running acceleration programs for technology and innovation-focused entrepreneurs, providing mentorship and business model development activities, and preparing them for investment processes.

In the new implementing organization model, updated with an investment-focused support mechanism, priority has been given to aspects such as the content of the acceleration program, the design of training modules, and the provision of mentoring support. 54 project applications from 141 organizations were submitted to the 2025 Call. As a result of the evaluations, it was decided to support 35 projects. 104 organizations within the accepted projects will be able to run Acceleration Programs for entrepreneurs as implementing organizations under the BiGG Investment Program. Of the 104 organizations included in the projects eligible for support, 40 are technology development zones, 38 are universities, university technology transfer offices (TTO) and TTO companies, 20 are capital companies, 11 are TEKMER, 3 are banks, and 2 are public research institutes/research infrastructure. 

The organizations, which aim to develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem by combining their competencies and will carry out the BiGG Investment Program 1st phase acceleration program processes in the 2026-2028 period, will evaluate entrepreneurs' technology-focused business idea applications and accept suitable business ideas into the acceleration program. Various training modules will ensure that entrepreneurs have the knowledge and equipment to design their business models and prepare their business plans. In this regard, it is expected that entrepreneurs will be provided with mentor support and assistance with the investment processes. Through all these activities, the implementing organizations will support entrepreneurs in the business idea validation processes and in preparing qualified business plans.

Since 2012, TÜBİTAK has been supporting entrepreneurs within the scope of the BiGG and BiGG Investment Programs, from the idea stage to the market, so that they can transform their technology and innovation-focused business ideas into products and services with superior commercial value in the R&D-potential companies they will establish. Implementing organizations have carried out the acceleration processes, which constitute the first phase of the program supporting entrepreneurs to transform innovative business ideas into tangible products and services, since 2015.

The list of implementing organizations that will carry out the BiGG Investment Phase 1 Acceleration Program activities in the 2026-2028 period:

LUKE (Linking Ukraine to the European Research Area) is a multilateral joint call mechanism supported under the Horizon Europe Programme, aiming to strengthen long-term cooperation in the fields of science, technology and innovation between EU Member States and Associated Countries and Ukraine.The LUKE Joint Call aims to enhance research and innovation capacity in shared priority areas, support the integration of Ukraine into the European Research Area, and foster sustainable international cooperation.

Within the first Joint Call to be launched under LUKE, project proposals are expected to target one of the thematic areas listed below:

The International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) that Türkiye has been a member since 1989, provides financial support to researchers conducting research and development activities in the fields of basic life sciences, health services, industrial and agricultural biotechnology and bioenergy.

All researchers working in a university or research institute any ICGEB Member State, including Türkiye, and working in the fields of basic life sciences, health services, industrial and agricultural biotechnology and bioenergy can apply to the programme.

Young scientists working at a university or research institute in Türkiye, who are not over 40 years old, have done research abroad for at least 2 years, and who’s return date back to Türkiye is not more than 2 years from the date of application, can apply to the programme.

The grant amount is up to 25,000 Euro per year for a maximum duration of 36 months.

Important Note:

In order to provide equal opportunity for applications from ICGEB member countries, the number of applications to be made from each member country has been determined as a maximum of 3 for the CRP and a maximum of 2 for the CRP Special Programme. In case these numbers are exceeded, the applications received are subject to a preliminary evaluation process by TÜBİTAK. In this process, TÜBİTAK will send the applications to external consultants who are experts in their fields according to the scientific evaluation criteria determined by ICGEB for preliminary evaluations of the ICGEB CRP and the CRP Special Programme. The applications which received the highest scores as a result of the preliminary evaluation process will be considered. In this scope, the first 3 of the applications made for the standard CRP and the first 2 of the applications made for the CRP Special Programme will be sent to the ICGEB CRP Office by the Türkiye ICGEB Liaison Officer, along with the "Endorsement" forms. 

Projects found suitable in the pre-evaluation process will proceed to the evaluation. External evaluator will be appointed from academia, private sector, public institutions, and non-governmental organizations for the peer review process. Evaluations will be conducted through on-site visits. 

If the following critical determinations are made, the project may be submitted to the relevant Group Executive Board (GEB) with a recommendation for rejection without starting the external evaluation process.

• The project proposal does not comply with the subject and scope of the call.
  • The project was not found suitable in terms of Environmental and Social Risk Assessment.
  • The Beginning and Ending Technology Readiness Levels are not within the scope specified in the call.
  • The Green Transformation Indicators selected in the project did not associated with the project activities.
  • The NACE code is not suitable for the scope of the call.
  • The project subject is not within the scope of the R&D and Innovation Topics specified in the call announcement.
  • The project was not found to meet the Eligibility Criteria spesified at the call (Partnership Structure, Bank Reference Letter, Financial Suitability).
• The project is not a continuation of a previous R&D study. The company will start this work for the first time within the scope of this project.
• The project is an investment project aimed at creating production infrastructure.
• As of the project application date, there is no project personnel in the project team who has at least a bachelor's degree related to the project subject.
• If employees who have a bachelor's degree in a field different from the project subject present their experience with the project subject in their resumes, the adequacy of their experience will also be taken into account.
• The project proposal has been previously submitted to calls opened by TÜBİTAK and has been rejected. The project has been resubmitted without making changes to the reasons for the previous rejection.
• The information provided in the project proposal is insufficient for the evaluation of the project; a limited amount of information has been presented.
• The R&D activities to be carried out in the project and the presented expense items are not qualitatively and quantitatively aligned; a realistic budget planning has not been made. The majority of budget items consist of unnecessary and excessive requests that do not contribute to the R&D activities.

Following evaluation process, if critical findings are identified, the projects are rejected without scoring in the committee.

Project scores are created based on evaluations by both external evaluators and the Group Executive Board for the projects.

Projects that meet the following criteria will be awarded additional points in addition to the evaluators assessment made over 100 points.

• Commercialization performance of TÜBİTAK projects supported in the past (between 5-10 points depending on the evaluation of the group executive board)
• The company has applied for a project to international funds (5 Points)
• Having a project application that is a continuation of the projects supported within the framework of 1702 Patent License calls (5 Points)
• Being in disadvantaged and vulnerable groups (2-15 Points)

The final decision for the projects is made by taking into account the score of the projects and the call budget.

Proje Ekibi

Proje ekibinde proje yürütücüsü, araştırmacı, danışman, yardımcı personel ve bursiyer görev alabilir. Proje ekibinde yer alacak kişilerin TÜBİTAK - Araştırmacı Bilgi Sistemine (ARBİS) kayıtlı olmaları ve kayıtlarının güncel olması gerekmektedir.

Proje ekibinde yer alacak yürütücü, araştırmacı veya danışmanların;

• Üniversite personeli olmaları durumunda, doktora/sanatta yeterlik/tıpta uzmanlık derecesine sahip olmaları gerekmektedir (Bu koşul eğitim ve araştırma hastanelerinde çalışanları da kapsamaktadır).

• Kamu veya yükseköğretim kurumlarında yürütülecek projelerde, yürütücünün (emekliler hariç) söz konusu kurum/kuruluşun kadrolu personeli olması gerekir.

• Proje yürütücüsü, araştırmacı ve yardımcı personellerin Türkiye Cumhuriyeti sınırları içerisinde ikamet etmeleri gerekir. Yabancı uyruklu bir kişi Türkiye sınırlarındaki bir kurum/kuruluşta görev yapmak koşulu ile projede yürütücü/araştırmacı/yardımcı personel olarak görev alabilir.

• Projedeki katkı oranı %10’un altında olan kişiler araştırmacı olarak görev alamazlar, ancak danışman olabilirler. Bir projede danışman yer alabilmesi için projenin özel uzmanlık gerektiren konu ya da konularının olması ve bu hususun proje önerisinde gerekçeli olarak belirtilmesi gerekir. Bir projede görev alacak danışman sayısı o projedeki özel uzmanlık gerektiren konu sayısı ile sınırlıdır.

• Emekliler, projenin yürütüleceği kurum/kuruluş üst düzey yetkilisi tarafından projede görev alabileceklerine dair yazılı onay verilmesi şartıyla PTİ veya herhangi bir ücret ödemesi yapılmaksızın, proje yürütücüsü olarak görev alabilirler.

• Türkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Araştırma Kurumu Kurulması Hakkında Kanun’un 16. maddesinin 2. fıkrasında PTİ ödemelerine ilişkin olarak yer alan ifade gereğince, sadece kamu kurum veya kuruluşlarının (vakıf üniversiteleri dâhil) kadro ve pozisyonlarında bulunanlara PTİ ödemesi yapılabilmektedir.

• Bu çağrı kapsamında Türk proje ekibinde yurtdışı araştırmacı görevlendirilemez.

• Proje yürütücüsünün veya araştırmacıların gözetimi altında, projenin yürütülmesinde tam veya kısmî zamanlı, proje süresiyle sınırlı olarak ve işvereni kurum olmak üzere istihdam edilen, sonuç raporunda adı geçmeyen uzman, teknik eleman, teknisyen, laborant, işçi ve benzeri yardımcı personel görevlendirilebilir.

Bursiyerler

Türkiye’deki yükseköğretim kurumlarında lisans ve lisansüstü (Yüksek Lisans ve Doktora) eğitimlerine devam etmekte olan "öğrenciler" veya öğrenci statüsündeki "Araştırma Görevlileri" ile doktora sonrası araştırmacılar bursiyer olarak proje ekibinde yer alabilirler.

BİDEB’den tam burs alan Lisansüstü ve Doktora Sonrası Bursiyerler için projeden de ek burs ödemesi yapılabilir. BİDEB bursu ve projeden yapılacak ek burs ödemesinin toplamı, belirlenen aylık burs limitlerini aşamaz. Burs miktarı üst sınırları aşağıda paylaşılan tabloda sunulmuştur. BİDEB’den kısmi burs alanlara projeden ayrıca burs ödemesi yapılmaz. TÜBİTAK’ın desteklediği herhangi bir projeden burs alanlar ise, ikinci bir projede bursiyer olarak görev alamazlar.

Lisans bursiyerlerinde aranan koşullar:

• Herhangi bir kurum/kuruluşta çalışmama,

• Türkiye’de Kurulu bir yükseköğretim kurumunun lisans programında 3. sınıf ve üzeri öğrencisi olmak,

• Üniversitenin not sistemi esas olmak üzere, hazırlık hariç önceki yılların ağırlıklı genel not ortalamasının en az 4 üzerinden 2,5 veya 100 üzerinden 65 olması veya bölümünde hazırlık sınıfı hariç önceki yıllara ait ağırlıklı genel not ortalamasında ilk %20 lik dilime girilmiş olması.

Öğrencinin sınıfta kalması durumunda bursu kesilir. Bir projede aynı anda en fazla 2 (iki) lisans öğrencisi bursiyer olarak yer alabilir.

Doktora Sonrası Araştırmacı bursiyerlerinde aranan koşullar:

• Doktoralı olup herhangi bir kurum/kuruluşta çalışmama,

• Doçent ve üstü akademik unvana sahip olmama,

• Doktora/tıpta uzmanlık derecesinin alındığı tarih ile ulusal son başvuru tarihi arasında kalan sürenin 7 yıldan fazla olmaması.

Yabancı Uyruklu Yüksek Lisans/Doktora bursiyerlerinde aranan koşullar:

• Yüksek lisans bursiyerlerinin 30 yaşın altında olması*

• Doktora bursiyerlerinin 35 yaşın altında olması*

(*) Başvuru yılının ilk günü itibariyla belirtilen yaşların doldurulmamış olması.

Kimler Proje Yürütücüsü Olamaz?

Rektör, Rektör Yardımcısı, Başhekim, Başhekim Yardımcısı, Hastane Yöneticisi, Genel Müdür, Genel Müdür Yardımcısı, İl Milli Eğitim Müdürü; başvuru sırasında görevlerinin devam etmesi durumunda proje yürütücüsü olarak görev alamaz, ancak araştırmacı olarak görev alabilirler.

TÜBİTAK’ta görevli olan Grup Yürütme Kurulu ve Danışma Kurulu üyeleri ise; başvuru sırasında görevlerinin devam etmesi durumunda, proje yürütücüsü veya danışman olarak Avrupa Birliği Çerçeve Programları kapsamında açılan çağrılara sunulan projeler (ortak değerlendirmenin uluslararası bağımsız hakemler tarafından gerçekleştirildiği projeler) hariç görev alamaz, ancak araştırmacı olarak görev alabilirler.

Başvuru ve Değerlendirme Süreçleri

Proje başvuruları, uidb-pbs.tubitak.gov.tr internet adresi üzerinden, son başvuru tarihinden önce ve yalnızca elektronik imzayla (e-imza) yapılabilmektedir. E-imza sürecinin belirtilen son tarihlerden önce tamamlanmış olması gerekmektedir. Bursiyer, yardımcı personel ve yurtdışı danışman hariç proje ekibinde yer alan diğer kişilerin ve tüm yürütücü/katılımcı kurum/kuruluş yetkililerinin nitelikli elektronik sertifika (e-imza) sahibi olması gerekmektedir.

• İki aşamalı başvuruların birinci aşamasında proje yürütücüsünün ve bu yürütücünün yer aldığı kurumun/kuruluşun yetkilisinin e-imzaları istenmektedir.
• Tek aşamalı başvurularda ve iki aşamalı başvuruların ikinci aşamasında ise bursiyer(ler), yardımcı personel(ler) ve yurtdışı danışman(lar) hariç tüm proje ekibinin ve ilgili kurum/kuruluş yetkilisinin/yetkililerinin e-imzaları alınmaktadır.

Kamu kurum/kuruluşlarında imza yetkisi olan ve ARDEB proje başvurularını kurum/kuruluş yetkilisi olarak imzalayacak kişiler, Proje Başvuru Sistemi (PBS)’nde yer alan "Kuruluş Yetkilisi Olarak Ekle" butonuna tıklayarak gerekli bilgileri girebilir. Eklenen Kurum/Kuruluş yetkilisinin projeleri imzalayabilmesi için Kuruluş Yetkilisi ekleme işleminin ARDEB tarafından onaylanması gerekmektedir. ARDEB onay işlemi ortalama 3 iş günü içinde tamamlandığından, bu sürecin başvuruda dikkate alınması başvuru sahibinin/sahiplerinin sorumluluğundadır.

Proje önerilerinin TÜBİTAK tarafından değerlendirileceği durumlarda projeler aşağıda paylaşılan kriterler doğrultusunda değerlendirilecektir:

1. Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Mükemmellik
2. Yöntem
3. Proje Yönetimi
4. Uluslararası İşbirliğinin Önemi
5. Etki

Değerlendirmenin uluslararası bağımsız panel/hakemler tarafından yapıldığı durumlarda ise ilgili uluslararası çağrı için belirlenen değerlendirme kriterleri geçerli olacaktır.

TÜBİTAK’ta görevli olan Grup Yürütme Kurulu ve Danışma Kurulu üyeleri ise; başvuru sırasında görevlerinin devam etmesi durumunda, proje yürütücüsü veya danışman olarak Avrupa Birliği Çerçeve Programları kapsamında açılan çağrılara sunulan projeler (ortak değerlendirmenin uluslararası bağımsız hakemler tarafından gerçekleştirildiği projeler) hariç görev alamaz, ancak araştırmacı olarak görev alabilirler.

Başvuru ve Değerlendirme Süreçleri

Proje başvuruları, uidb-pbs.tubitak.gov.tr internet adresi üzerinden, son başvuru tarihinden önce ve yalnızca elektronik imzayla (e-imza) yapılabilmektedir. E-imza sürecinin belirtilen son tarihlerden önce tamamlanmış olması gerekmektedir. Bursiyer, yardımcı personel ve yurtdışı danışman hariç proje ekibinde yer alan diğer kişilerin ve tüm yürütücü/katılımcı kurum/kuruluş yetkililerinin nitelikli elektronik sertifika (e-imza) sahibi olması gerekmektedir.

• İki aşamalı başvuruların birinci aşamasında proje yürütücüsünün ve bu yürütücünün yer aldığı kurumun/kuruluşun yetkilisinin e-imzaları istenmektedir.
• Tek aşamalı başvurularda ve iki aşamalı başvuruların ikinci aşamasında ise bursiyer(ler), yardımcı personel(ler) ve yurtdışı danışman(lar) hariç tüm proje ekibinin ve ilgili kurum/kuruluş yetkilisinin/yetkililerinin e-imzaları alınmaktadır.

Kamu kurum/kuruluşlarında imza yetkisi olan ve ARDEB proje başvurularını kurum/kuruluş yetkilisi olarak imzalayacak kişiler, Proje Başvuru Sistemi (PBS)’nde yer alan "Kuruluş Yetkilisi Olarak Ekle" butonuna tıklayarak gerekli bilgileri girebilir. Eklenen Kurum/Kuruluş yetkilisinin projeleri imzalayabilmesi için Kuruluş Yetkilisi ekleme işleminin ARDEB tarafından onaylanması gerekmektedir. ARDEB onay işlemi ortalama 3 iş günü içinde tamamlandığından, bu sürecin başvuruda dikkate alınması başvuru sahibinin/sahiplerinin sorumluluğundadır.

Proje önerilerinin TÜBİTAK tarafından değerlendirileceği durumlarda projeler aşağıda paylaşılan kriterler doğrultusunda değerlendirilecektir:

1. Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Mükemmellik
2. Yöntem
3. Proje Yönetimi
4. Uluslararası İşbirliğinin Önemi
5. Etki

Değerlendirmenin uluslararası bağımsız panel/hakemler tarafından yapıldığı durumlarda ise ilgili uluslararası çağrı için belirlenen değerlendirme kriterleri geçerli olacaktır.

1707 Sipariş Ar-Ge Programı, Müşteri Kuruluş’un gereksinimlerini karşılamak üzere tasarlanan çözüm önerilerinin, KOBİ'ler tarafından Ar-Ge faaliyetlerine dönüştürülerek ticarileşebilir çıktılara ulaşılması hedefini benimsemektedir. TÜBİTAK ve Müşteri Kuruluş, bu önemli süreçte eş finansman yoluyla KOBİ'lerin gereksinim odaklı Ar-Ge faaliyetleri gerçekleştirmelerini sağlamaktadır.

KOBİ’ler müşterisi hazır yenilikçi ürün ve süreçler gerçekleştirmektedir. Sanayi kuruluşları arasında finansman riskinin paylaşılmasına ve fikri sınai haklar üzerinde anlaşılmasına zemin hazırlanmakta, proje yönetiminde görece daha deneyimli olan kuruluşların deneyimlerini KOBİ’lere aktarmasına imkân tanınmaktadır.

Yeşil Dönüşüm Odaklı Ar-Ge ve Yenilik için 175 Milyon Dolar

Dünya Bankası tarafından 450 milyon dolar bütçe ile fonlanan ve 6 yıl sürecek olan proje kapsamında TÜBİTAK ve KOSGEB tarafından Türkiye’de yerleşik sermaye şirketlerinin yeşil dönüşümüne yönelik destek verilmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

Türkiye Yeşil Sanayi Projesi kapsamında TÜBİTAK bünyesinde:

• 175 milyon dolar bütçe ile Türkiye'de veya diğer pazarlarda yer alacak yeni yeşil teknolojilerin, ürünlerin veya süreçlerin geliştirilmesini içeren ve yeşil inovasyon faaliyetlerinde bulunan firmalar desteklenecektir.

• Teknoloji tabanlı başlangıç firmaları, KOBİ'ler ve büyük firmaların yanı sıra üniversiteler, araştırma altyapıları ve kamu araştırma merkezleri de bu destekler ile yeşil dönüşüm odaklı teknolojik çözümleri geliştirebilecektir.

• Yeşil üretime, daha yüksek enerji ve kaynak verimliliğine katkıda bulunan Ar-Ge, prototip geliştirme, standart geliştirme ile yeni ürün veya süreç geliştirmeye yönelik projeler desteklenecektir.

Proje kapsamında özel sektöre yönelik hibe ve faizsiz geri ödemeli destekler, ayrıca projelerde ortak olarak yer alabilecek araştırma kurumlarına hibe destek verilecektir.

Destekler üç farklı bileşen altında açılacak çağrılar aracılığıyla sağlanacaktır.

Bileşen 1: Yeşil İnovasyon Teknoloji Mentörlük Desteği

Kazanım: KOBİ’lerin yeşil dönüşüm sürecinde teknoloji ve yenilik ihtiyaçlarına yönelik stratejik yol haritalarının oluşturulması

Bu kapsamda, yeşil dönüşüme uygun iş modellerini, tedarik ve değer zincirlerini, ürün ve hizmetlerini gözden geçirmek isteyen KOBİ'lere çözüm ortakları ile birlikte teknik yardım sağlanacaktır.

Bileşen 2: Sanayide Yeşil Dönüşüm Desteği

Kazanım: Sanayinin yeşil dönüşümüne yönelik teknolojik çözümlerin ticarileşmesini kolaylaştıracak Ar-Ge ve yenilik faaliyetlerinin gerçekleştirilmesi

Bu kapsamda, firmaların yeşil dönüşüm faaliyetlerine yönelik Teknoloji Hazırlık Seviyesi (THS) 5-9 aralığını kapsayan prototip geliştirme ya da iyileştirme, validasyon ve sertifikasyon testleri, yerinde uygulama, ölçeklendirme, demonstrasyon ve saha denemeleri çalışmaları desteklenecektir.

Bileşen 3: SAYEM Yeşil Dönüşüm Desteği

Kazanım: Türkiye’nin yeşil büyümesine katkı sağlayacak katma değeri yüksek ürün veya ürün gruplarının geliştirilmesi için teknoloji ekosistemlerinin (Sanayiye Yönelik Ar-Ge ve Yenilik Ağları) oluşturulması

Bu destek ile, özel sektör öncülüğünde ortak bir vizyon ve yol haritası etrafında bir araya gelen paydaşları içeren yenilik platformlarının oluşturulması ve ürünleştirme odağında oluşturulan yol haritaları kapsamındaki Ar-Ge ve yenilik projeleri desteklenecektir.  

The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) provides various scholarship and support programmes for scientists working in the field of life sciences. These programmes, which are financed by the European Molecular Biology Conference (EMBC) Member States and EMBO/EMBC global partners, provide grant, accommodation and networking support to the researchers.

EMBO Young Investigator Programme supports group leaders in the early stages of setting up their independent laboratories for a period of 4 years in countries that are EMBC members or EMBO/EMBC global partners and offers them grant support and scientific networking opportunities.

Eligibility:

• Being an independent research group leader in countries that are EMBC members or EMBO/EMBC global partners for at least 1 year and no more than 4 years on 1 April 2026 (Having started the position between 1 January 2022 and 1 April 2025)*;

• Carrying out research in the field of life sciences and related to EMBO subject areas;

• Having at least one last author research publication accepted or published in an international peer-reviewed journal arising from work conducted in the researcher’s independent research group;

• Attending an online interview with the selection committee is required.

* The limit of 4 years since independence can be extended for exceptional circumstances such as parental leave, illness, military service, being a clinical scientist. The candidates whose circumstances may warrant an extension of the eligibility period should contact the EMBO Young Investigator Programme Office (yip@embo.org) before applying. EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships provide international mobility and research opportunities in different countries for postdoctoral researchers working in the field of life sciences.

Eligibility:

• Holding a doctorate degree or equivalent at the start of the fellowship*;

• For applicants already holding a PhD at the time of application, having obtained it during the 2 years prior to the date the application is submitted**;

• Having at least one first author research paper accepted in or published in an international peer reviewed journal at the time of application;

• Fellowship application to involve movement between countries;

• Not applying to go to the country in which the PhD was obtained or to return to a laboratory in which having worked in the past for more than 6 months;

• For applicants already started working in the host laboratory, having worked there for less than 6 months at the time of the application is required.

* Candidates with a medical degree (M.D.) may apply provided they hold a PhD. Candidates with a M.D. but without a PhD may apply if they have equivalent research experience to a PhD. These candidates should contact the EMBO Fellowship Office (fellowships@embo.org) before applying.

EMBO Scientific Exchange Grants provide funding to researchers working in the field of life sciences to conduct research visits to laboratories in countries that are EMBC members or EMBO/EMBC global partners.

Eligibility:

• Being an active researcher at any stage in their career with at least 1 year of graduate research experience at the time of application*;

• Currently working in a research laboratory in EMBC members or EMBO/EMBC global partners and their research area being in the field of life sciences and related to EMBO subject areas;

• Applying for a scientific exchange in a research laboratory in EMBC members or EMBO/EMBC global partners excluding the country in which their current laboratory is located**;

• Not applying to work in a laboratory that the applicant has previously worked or visited;

• Not applying to attend courses, workshops or symposia;

• Returning to their own laboratory upon the completion of the scientific exchange and staying there for at least 6 months is required.

* Candidates with a medical degree (M.D.), independent researchers and research technicians are also eligible to apply provided they have at least 1 year of graduate research experience and their research area is in the field of life sciences and related to EMBO subject areas.

** Only in exceptional cases, the grants may be awarded for research visits outside the countries that are EMBC members or EMBO/EMBC global partners. For such cases, it is essential to provide a justification for why there is no appropriate expertise or technology in EMBC members or EMBO/EMBC global partners.

Benefits:

• Grant is awarded for visits of 1 week up to 3 months.

• Grantees can stay longer than 3 months (with a maximum of 6 months) during their visits, but the EMBO grant must be used for the first 3 months of the visit.

• Grant contributes towards travel costs and subsistence of the fellow but not of any dependents with the subsistence rate and travel allowance depending on the country being visited.

• No fund can be provided for additional expenses other than these items.

2524 - İtalya Dışişleri ve Uluslararası İşbirliği Bakanlığı (MAECI) ile İkili İş Birliği Programı çağrısı değerlendirme süreci sonuçlandı. TÜBİTAK ve MAECI tarafından desteklenmesine karar verilen 7 projeye ilişkin bilgiler aşağıda paylaşılmaktadır. 

2544-TÜBİTAK-Japonya Bilimi Destekleme Kurumu (JSPS) İkili İşbirliği Destek Programı 2025 çağrısı değerlendirme süreci sonuçlandı. Her iki kuruluşça toplamda 5 projenin desteklenmesine karar verildi.

Desteklenmesine karar verilen proje bilgileri aşağıda yer almaktadır:

Çağrı metninde başvuru hazırlanırken dikkat edilecek hususlar da göz önünde bulundurularak;

• http://tubitak.gov.tr/4007 adresinde yer alan güncel “Proje Öneri Formu” (en fazla 20 sayfa) doldurularak .odt, .doc ya da .docx formatında Proje Başvuru Sistemi’ne yüklenir.

• Proje öneri formunda ve başvuru sisteminde bilgi talep edilen tüm alanlar doldurulur.

• Proje önerisi, hedef kitlenin yaş grupları ve eğitim seviyeleri dikkate alınarak Bilim Festivali için en az 60, Bilim Şenliği için en az 25 farklı etkinlikten oluşacak şekilde planlanır. Gerçekleştirilecek etkinliklerin şenlik süresince farklı hedef kitlelere uygun ve yüksek oranda katılım sağlayacak şekilde düzenlenmesi gerekir.

• Şenlik süresince tüm etkinliklere katılan toplam katılımcı sayısı Bilim Festivali için en az 50.000 ve Bilim Şenliği için en az 5.000 olacak şekilde planlanmalıdır.

• Desteklenmesine karar verilen projelerin duyuru ve tanıtımları Bilim ve Toplum Başkanlığı tarafından oluşturulan portal üzerinden yapılacaktır. Bu duruma ek olarak projenin tanıtımına yönelik Bilim Festivali kapsamında başvuru yapacak projeler için bir web sitesi kurulmalıdır. 

• Proje kapsamında yer alacak etkinlikler en az 3 gün planlanır. En az 1 günü hafta sonunda (Cumartesi ya da Pazar) olacak etkinlikler, 09:00–17:00 saatleri arasında gerçekleştirilir. Proje etkinlikleri kapsam ve içerik doğrultusunda saat 17:00’dan sonra da devam edebilir.

• Bilim Festivali ve Bilim Şenliği kapsamında en az 2 (iki) kurum/kuruluş ile (Üniversiteler, İl/İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlükleri, Ticaret ve Sanayi Odaları, Kütüphaneler, Bilim Merkezleri, Müzeler, Kamu/kuruluşlarının İl/İlçe Temsilcilikleri, Belediyeler (Botanik Bahçeleri, Milli Parklar, Akvaryumlar vb.), Teknokentler, Teknoparklar, Bakanlıklara Bağlı İl/İlçe Müdürlükleri, Valilikler ve Kaymakamlıklar) paydaş olunması zorunludur.

• Proje önerisinde sponsorluklara yer verilebilir. Sponsorluklara ait detaylı bilgiler ve verilecek destek miktarı/mahiyeti ve karşılığı açıkça ve detaylı olarak proje önerisinde açıklanır. Bilim Festivali kapsamında en az 2 (iki) sponsora yer verilmelidir. Sponsor logolarının kullanımında yayınlanacak olan Görünürlük Rehberi’ne uyulmalıdır.

• Projelerde görev alacak asil ve her bir ayrı görev için aynı veya yakın niteliklere sahip yedek personel (atölye lideri/konuşmacı) listesi öneride sunulur.

Aşağıda belirtilen etkinlik türleri desteklenmez. Öneride bu tür etkinliklerin yer alması durumunda öneri bilimsel değerlendirmeye alınmadan iade edilir.

• Hizmet içi ve öncesi öğretmen yetiştirme ve diğer branşlardaki eğitim programları kapsamında bulunan herhangi bir faaliyetin (seminer, konferans, laboratuvar çalışması vb.) uygulanması, tekrarı, saha çalışması, pekiştirilmesi vb. etkinlikler
• Yükseköğretim öncesi örgün eğitime yönelik hazırlanan öğretim programlarında yer alan veya yapılması öngörülen etkinliklerin uygulanması, tekrarı, saha çalışması, pekiştirilmesi vb. içeren faaliyetler
• Sadece teorik anlatımlara dayalı sunu, seminer ve konferanslar
• Sadece bilinçlendirmeye yönelik kampanya türü faaliyetler
• Katılımcıları tamamen özel eğitim kurumlarından olan projeler
• Belirli bir yarışmaya veya sınava hazırlık amaçlı etkinlikler

Aşağıdaki hususlara dikkat edilir:

• Bilimsel yönü olmayan oyunlar, şenlik ortamında gerçekleştirilmesi sağlık ve güvenlik açısından uygun olmayan (kan grubu tayini, şeker ölçümü, ispirto ocağı ile gerçekleştirilmesi planlanan etkinlikler gibi) ve olası risk ve tehlikelere neden olabilecek kimyasal maddelerle gerçekleştirilen etkinliklere yer verilmemelidir.

Atölyelerde olası risk ve tehlikelere neden olabilecek araç-gereçlerin (havya, silikon tabancası gibi) kullanımında dikkate alınacak güvenlik tedbirleri proje önerisinde açıklanmalıdır.

2516 – Joint Support Programme with Korea National Research Foundation (NRF) and Korean Ministry for Science and ICT (MSIT) 2024 Call scientific review process has been concluded. The 2 projects found eligible to be funded by both TÜBİTAK and NRF are listed below.

DEFINITION and SCOPE OF AWARD

• COST Action Incentive Award is for to the researcher who is a "Main Proposer" of a COST action contracted by the relevant department of COST.

• The researchers who have applied for the COST Action Award must be serving in the legal entities resident in Turkey.

• In order to be eligible to apply, the contract for the relevant action must be signed at a date following the date on which this Procedure and the Articles entered into force.

• The actions that researchers take as their "Secondary Proposer" during their recommendation are not covered by the Incentive Award.

• The amount of award is 50.000 TL.

Our national team, representing Türkiye at the 55th International Physics Olympiad, achieved great success and brought pride to our country.

Held in Paris, France, from 17-25 July 2025, the Olympiad saw 415 students from 94 countries compete, with our students securing a total of five awards, including four bronze medals and one honorable mention.

Our students, who were trained under the 2202 Science Olympiads Program conducted by TÜBİTAK, are as follows:

Şenol TARHAN, Alp TERLİKSİZ, Oytun ER, and Muhammed Doğan ÖNAL won bronze medals, while İclal Asya AKSOY won an honorable mention award.

We congratulate all our students who successfully represented our country and thank their families, teachers, and all academics involved in the training process, especially the Olympic Committee Chairpersons.

INFORMATION ABOUT TECHNOLOGY

This intellectual product is a real-time PCR method for detecting the presence of pork DNA with 0.01% sensitivity in food, processed food and food additives such as flavor, gelatin, glycerin, glycerol. The application number is 2020/19264 and the inscription "ori-SenS" regarding the technology subject to the transfer is registered with TURKPATENT.

The Turkish national team, representing our country at the 18th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, has made us proud by returning home with multiple medals.

At the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) held in Mumbai, India, from 11-21 August 2025, with the participation of 288 outstanding students from 63 countries, students returned home with 1 Silver and 3 Bronze medals.

Our students, who were trained under the 2202 Science Olympiads Program conducted by TÜBİTAK, achieved the following:

Bilal Efe Aydın, Hüseyin Furkan Bakan ve Muhammed Said Kocabaş Bronze Medals.

The 1503 program supports the expenses of national and international events which bring the representatives of universities, research institutions, private sector organizations together in order to provide knowledge exchange about the project ideas and to establish technological and financial collaborations related to R&D projects.

What is the amount of support?

The upper limit of the support budget is determined by TUBİTAK as 70.000 TL. In case of the participation of an international organization to the brokerage events (university, chamber of industry, chamber of commerce, chamber of commerce and industry, exporters’ association abroad) the upper limit is 100.000 TL. Support payments are made before the event.

Which expense items are covered in the Brokerage Events Support Program? 

• Printing and stationery expenses: Necessary printing and stationery expenses related to the event (invitation, posters, brochures, books, supplies, etc.)
• Postal and courier expenses: Postal and courier expenses related to the event
• Transportation and accommodation expenses: Intercity and international economy class transportation expenses (by airplane, train, bus, ship) of participants from universities and research institutions who will present their project ideas and daily accommodation expenses of participants up to 100 TL (maximum) are supported.
