The aim of the program is to support applied research and / or experimental development projects for the purpose of developing a new national / international product / process / method / model that will decrease our dependence on foreign technology and / or increase our country's competitiveness. PROJECT DURATION
The project duration is maximum 18 months.
PROJECT BUDGET
As of November 11, 2024 the requested budget from TÜBİTAK can be maximum 950.000 TRY (including scholarship, excluding project incentive bonus (PTI)* and overhead) without annual budget limit.
Upper limits for scholarships are as below:

The budget requested for machine/equipment should be balanced with the total budget.
Projects aimed at developing infrastructure are not supported.

INTELLECTUAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
The principal investigator (PI) is obliged to investigate whether the intellectual and industrial property rights of third parties are subject to the project proposal, before presenting the project proposal and should submit the results of investigation in the proposal.
In case the intellectual and industrial property rights of third parties are subject to the project proposal;
a) The PI undertakes that the project does not infringe on the intellectual and industrial property rights of third parties and if any, PI should submit the texts of the agreements like related licenses, transfers, etc.
b) If TÜBİTAK has been subjected to any legal treatment for alleged violations of the intellectual and industrial property rights of third parties, TÜBİTAK is notified that it will be applied and / or enforced in any sanction, an administrative penalty; PI is responsible for taking responsibility. Despite this, if TÜBİTAK faces a legal sanction, TÜBİTAK recourses to PI.
In case of violations of the intellectual and industrial property rights of third parties due to the PI’s defect and / or negligence; the Regulation, “Araştırma Projelerinde Uygulanacak İdari ve Mali Esaslar” and the relevant legislation provisions are applied. Reviews regarding whether the national / international patent / utility model / registration related to project topic has been obtained previously can be made from some of the websites given below.
WARNING: Current "Application Form and its Annexes (Annex-1 References, Annex-2 Budget and Justification)" regarding the program to which you are going to apply should be filled and uploaded to the online application system.
In order for the project to be evaluated, the Application Form should be prepared in Arial 9 font, no changes should be made in the current format, it should not exceed 22 pages except for ANNEX-1 and ANNEX-2, and the size of each file to be uploaded to the system should not exceed 20MB.

- Project Proposal Modification Form (The form needed to be filled if the same/similar project proposal has been applied previously and rejected as a result of scientific evaluation, is formed automatically according to the information entered to online application system.)
- Waiver Form (In case the projects that were previously submitted to our Institution and rejected / returned are resubmitted with the same / similar content, Waiver for those who were right holders in the previous application, but not mentioned as right holder in the new proposed project is formed automatically according to the information entered to application system. The form must be approved via the link to be sent to the relevant persons by e-mail.
- Project Application Permission Form for University Faculty Members Working in the Companies Operating under the Technology Development Zones Law No. 4691 (Document is formed automatically according to the information entered to application system and should be e-signed by the relevant persons (authorities of university and the company) during the electronic signature process.
- Information Form for Researcher outside Türkiye (in case there is a researcher outside Türkiye in the project team) (Form is automatically created automatically by the system in line with the information entered to online application system.)
- Participation Letter of Researcher outside Türkiye (in case there is a researcher outside Türkiye in the project team) (Letter is automatically created automatically by the system in line with the information entered to online application system. The Participation Letter which will be sent via e-mail by system should be approved by the researcher outside Türkiye.
- Curriculum Vitae for Researcher/Consultant outside Türkiye (in case there is a researcher/consultant outside Türkiye in the project team, curriculum vitae of researcher/consultant is automatically created by the system in line with ARBİS information. In order to upload detailed CVs of the researcher/consultant outside Türkiye, a field is also opened in the system.)
The following documents must be submitted fully in desired format within the time given by the relevant Research Support Group; If it is decided to support the project. If the documents cannot be obtained within the given time, the project will not be implemented.

- Proforma invoice (If necessary)
- SME Declaration (in case the managers and partners of SME enterprises and corporations that have not reached the requirements of being a SME are involved in the project.

- Commercial Registry Gazette (The page with the current title and address of the company)
- Copy of Chamber of Commerce Registration
- Authorized Signatures List
- Authorization Certificate (A document obtained from the relevant Registry of Commerce which indicates the person authorized to represent the company)
There is no time limit for applications. Applications can be made throughout the year.

1005 Program Project Topic Examples
Academic research and development projects for;
- The production / design / development of a system / device / method / material / ... or critical sub-components / parts of them that are widely used in our country but imported at a level that can compete with the international substitutes/equivalents,
- The breeding of plant varieties purchased from abroad and cultivated in our country, according to the conditions of our country; breeding/development of productive animal race, animal products and technologies; production / design / development of products and technologies used in food processing, packaging and storage at a level that can compete with international substitutes/equivalents,
- The development of diagnostic and treatment methods that are applied abroad and have the potential to be widely used in our country at a level that can compete with international substitutes/equivalents,
- in Basic Sciences; development of technologically unique new products, processes, systems designed for the solution of a problem or the clarification of a mechanism, and also aimed at a specific practical goal and have potential to be widely used in our country,
- The development of more effective, productive, value added products, processes, methods, models or techniques which are imported with high costs since they are not produced in Turkey yet, aiming to increasing our national competitiveness with the innovations and / or improvements to be made in line with the economic, social, cultural characteristics and needs of our country.
